Fairy Tail Discussion Thread

:wub::wub::wub:

I love Fairy Tail so much.

...How exactly?

Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but I've always thought that theory is pretty bad. As far as I remember, the only thing it has going for it is that E.N.D. is a fire spirit.

And that the name is an acronym, and ends with N.D. Natsu Dragneel. Otherwise why else would Natsu be the only one who can get the book?

And Zeref's fixation on Natsu, and the fact that it was stated Igneel defeated E.N.D., but couldn't kill it or something along those lines. Plus, before it turned out Igneel was inside Natsu, it also neatly explained him not going past the "Over 80" barrier.

402 up

Natsu punching Geer in the face was so satisfying.

I tell you: one of Erza's parents was named Uzumaki.

Whenever she's wearing that hakama you already know she's about to pull something outta her ass.

So yeah, doesn't surprise me much at all. I mean, her without the fucking armors is obviously more powerful since she's fueled by the power of friendship. :sisi:

I just assumed her magic eye still worked, letting her get in a surprise sucker punch since demon chick wasn't expecting it.

Well, we are talking about Erza, who took the awakening of her Second Origin like it was drops of rain, while everyone else was nearly rendered insensate by the excruciating pain. Even Ultear and Jellal were like "OMGWTF?" Also, the hakama was long since used as a symbol of Erza's true heart, being open and relating to people, her nakama, and relying on them as her strength instead of hiding her weak self behind several plates of armor to protect her feelings. In a sense, it's like having unshakeable faith in something much greater than yourself.

Of course, I do like to think the artificial eye has some impact here, since she overcame a physical petrification spell with it. Granted, it took some time, but it does protect.

Her magic eye's been utilized so many times to divert or otherwise partially negate this kinda stuff that it really doesn't have to be mentioned. Illusions, Petrification, the minute she said she'd blinded her I expected the eye to come into play again to at the very least give her a chance of victory here in that she still could partially see through it at least.

okay for the eye. But how is she standing up ? Her body should be numb, not feeling anything.

That sounds better than the constant agony she was supposed to be under (Didn't quite understand how that logic was working in the chapter, though I guess it was making a distinction between touch and pain or something).

Just because you can't 'feel' doesn't necessarily mean you can't 'move'. Pain itself is only a warning for the body to know doing that shit is bad, stop it. Not feeling it just means you could be taking damage and not realizing it, like touching a hot pan long enough that you develop third degree burns when a normal person who felt pain would let go immediately. One Piece did this premise exactly with the Zombie stuff in fact, Zombie Oars kept fighting and thinking he was okay until he he took so much damage he literally was unable to move anymore.

The more skin a female character is showing, the more powerful she becomes.

Loss of sensory information does not mean the person is paralyzed; it only means that they cannot detect the sensory feeling of moving their body. Once had so much Novocaine injected into my mouth that I couldn't even feel part of my nose, even though it could flare out and stuff (and then came the madness of the numb sector suddenly start to itch and make me scratch it to absolutely no relief as I couldn't feel my nose in the first place).

While Mavis is awesome, I just don't really enjoy Gray's story as much. While he's cool and all, I'm just not as interested in finding out about how he came to join the guild and the zany adventures he got up to in the mean time. It doesn't feel like it can hold the story on its own in the same way and it doesn't seem like it's going to give us any cool new info on the setting or story.

The Collector
I didn't even bother with Ice Trail since he gets more than enough coverage in the main story for both his past and current events. The different art style didn't help.

Fairy Tail Zero is more than enough for me.
