I was wondering if anyone reads Fairy Tail ? And if so, do you have any interesting fanfics about it somewhere ?

Tail first off. The title of the thread is right, but consistency is key. Secondly yes I do read it, and no I've yet to find some epic fics of it. It's relatively new afterall. Can't really expect things to pick up till round the 250s.

I've read the first couple of chapters and found nothing remarkable. Seems like standard shounen fare.

It gets better. :sisi:

Though srsy, one should never judge a manga based on the first couple of chapters. Those are basically the introductary chapters, where it all pretty much amounts to an info dump to get you to understand the basics. Fairy Tail actually does it pretty well now that I think about it. Rather than creating a moron character to explains things to or a normal person who has no idea of what's going on, instead Lucy assumed Natsu had no clue about anything, when he in fact was already in the thick of things. Lulzy all in all.

I finished the part where they were looking for their friend's dad or something and dropped it. Nothing really stood out for me.

Natsu is a better protagonist than most, but rather regular in the sense that he is powerful but stupid, driven by 'friendship.'

I liked Lucy. First couple of pages sold her to me :D

And she's got a nice rack, which is a bonus.

It picks up roughly... Hmm... the death flute Arc I believe. That's the point where Natsu starts facing opponents that are as strong or stronger than him from the start. It's also the Arc where they introduce Erza and really start getting into Gray's character. :snigger:

As a matter of fact, I believe it starts right after that arc.

HaHA! Live, I say! LIVE!

Does anyone else have a problem with the fact that EVERY SINGLE FUCKING THING somehow circles back to Gerard? It's really pissing me off. Every time his face shows up again...flashbacks, island, council, mistgun, and now in this fucker's cross-shaped coffin...it's just...ugh.

Not whatever the crap Luxus's dad is doing. However, yes, I was hoping he died... His connection with Erza is disconcerting given my preferences.

Hmmm, is there an anime/manga law for this type of repetitive appearances?

I keep having trouble getting beyond the first couple arcs. I start reading it and the resemblance to One Piece is so strong - and well, I consider One Piece better - that I end up getting side tracked and just rereading One Piece arcs.
