Family Matters Facts Challenge

Well since I'm fishing for inspiration in some of my fics I guess I should start with one of my most well liked from the early days.

Seras Victoria

-Has made it a point to control her rage as much as she can for fear of becoming too much like her Master. It would be many years before she realized it was not her existence as a Mideon that defined her personality, it was who she already was inside that did so.

That still didn't stop her from unleashing a new level of unholy terror in the Initiative after they captured Xander though.


-Is probably the only Scooby that can empathize with Buffy's on again off again desire to be normal. She has felt similar conflicts throughout her life. She just wishes Buffy had better taste in men.


-Discovered that it was much easier to drink blood when Xander was feeding it to her, either as part of their typical family meals at the Hellsing manor, or in rather exotic methods in the bedroom.

Although the bedroom ones proved that a Mideon and a dhampir can both achieve a full body blush the day Dawn and Willow walked in on them.




Buffy Summers

-Was less than thrilled to learn Xander's secret when it was finally revealed to her. Not that she was all that upset about her best guy friend or Seras being something other than human. At that point in her life, the fact they were loyal friends was all that mattered to her.

No what hurt her was that Xander was afraid to tell her.

Of course when she later learned from a smirking Integra that she could actually stake Xander with any manner of weapon so long as it wasn't silver with little ill effect, she dealt with it much better. She always did prefer physical methods of conflict resolution.


-Wonders in secret what the hell Xander saw in her when she compares her figure with the likes of Cordy or Seras. It boggles her mind that a clear boob man like Xander could fall in lust at first sight looking at her.


-Does not like Integra at all. Not only does the woman's influence ensure Xander will split his time with the Sunnydale gang at best, but she has a way of making everyone around her feel less capable by comparison.



Vlad Tepes

-Was pleasantly surprised when Alexander's friends came to accept his youngest heir's nature. It seemed the boy's natural charm could even outstrip Vlad's rather brilliant mind in terms of tactical analysis of a situation.

Not that he'd admit that to anyone.

Besides, Xander clearly got that charisma from his side of the family. Vlad had yet to meet a Belmont yet that could charm anyone while fully clothed, and Integra was a prime example that Hellsings commanded respect through power, not through charm.


-Could break the seals he is under at any time. Abraham was well aware of that, but was also aware of the fact that Vlad's sense of honor and fair play (as hard as it was to believe he had one) prevented him from running amok. Of the generations that have held him bound since Abraham's time, only Integra has figured out how easily he could slip his proverbial leash.

Of course his Master keeps him at her side with other means regardless of the seals whether she knows it or not.


-In recent years has taken a liking to visiting Goth nightclubs and horror/sci-fi conventions. It never ceases to entertain him to see how far mortals will embarrass themselves in an attempt to attract some attention.

Xander Harris

-Still has trouble believing his luck in being together with Seras. He had resigned himself to idea that he had ruined his one Great Romance with Cordy during the Fluke. It was rather ironic that he had his Mideon heritage, in part, to thank for his current situation.


-Gets a happy every time he sees the terror in the eyes of Buffy's newest boyfriend of the month when he tells the idiot his full name.


-Is one of the better liked students by his professors in his classes and UC Sunnydale. This is a fact that would seem impossible to his high school instructors. Of course, after the likes of Walter, Integra, and Gramps for tutors anyone else seems like a piece of cake by comparison.



Integra Hellsing


-Is genuinely fond of few things in this world, and all of them are related to Hellsing in some way.


-Only resisted Alucard's attempts to coerce her into accepting his offer to make her a Mideon in the Tower of London because she wanted the chance to see the faces of the other members of the Round Table as they were forced to release her.


-Has had to restrain herself form having Buffy Summers assassinated several times over the years. She understand logically that it would upset Xander greatly to kill the Slayer. That doesn't mean she appreciates the girl's attitude or tendency to treat her cousin more like a pet than a friend on occasion.

It should also be noted that it wasn't always the iron will of the Iron Maiden that saved Buffy's life. It was Alucard that stopped her the first time after the infamous 'sexy dance' during Xander's Junior year. Walter likewise staid her had after the encounter with Faith and Angel that left Xander unconscious on the rather dangerous streets of Sunnydale.



Willow Rosenberg

-Has long since accepted that she sees Xander as brother rather that a romantic interest. Granted he's a brother that she'd like to lick honey off of while Seras was...

well anyway she sees him as a brother.


-Is one of the few humans outside of Hellsing or his rightful subjects that Alucard can claim to genuinely like. Even the Dark Prince is at a loss to explain it, but he seems incapable of being mean to Willow in any way.

Willow is just glad Xander found a loving and supportive family. Or rather that the family around Xander had expanded past herself, Buffy, and Giles.


-Has on more than one occasion had to bite her tongue to keep from asking Seras about a threesome. And later a foursome after starting her relationship with Tara.

The fact Tara didn't seem to hate the idea when Dawn suggested it in jest a few days after walking in on Xander and Seras in a private moment has not helped to curb this impulse in the least.

But, on the plus side, the dreams that result from that little fantasy are nice.

-Waits patiently for the return of his Master within the confines of Castlevania. He knows it's only a matter of time before Count Dracula tires of culling the vampiric herds and returned home.


-Is actually afraid when he learns of the Master's attachment to Integra. After all the only think more dangerous than Dracula in a rage was Dracula in love.


-Does not speak of how he came to be Dracula's retainer. some stories were not meant for mortal ears. And to Death all live was mortal and waiting to fall to the unbending will of time.



Alucard (Adrian Farenheights Tepes)

-Thinks of his duty to keep his father in check as more of babysitting than anything else. He knows all too well how easy it would be for his father to stop him if Dracula truly wanted to. In many ways it's a game to both of them. A serious game, but a game nonetheless.


-Is somewhat saddened that Xander and Seras hit it off so well. Had they not connected he would have introduced his great grandson to Mina in the hopes that Xander could help her out of her most recent funk.

The fact that he finds Seras somewhat intriguing in her own right had nothing to do with that regret.


-Has more than enough power to claim dominion over most Mideons that would be considered masters in their own right against any but the Tepes line. He also understands that he could more easily curb their behavior from a throne than he could from the end of a sword. He just can't stomach the thought of all the politics that would be involved in such a move.



Spike

-Learned very quickly not to piss in Droopy's yard after the Gem of Amara incident. There were many things he had encountered Sunnydale that weren't in the brochure, so to speak, but sidekicks waving weird lightsabers was where he drew the line.


-Actually avoided getting "chipped" thanks to having the sense to get out of town.


-Is never resouled.

Alucard

-Hasn't felt as... alive, so to speak, as he felt training Xander in centuries. In fact, the last time he felt something this close to contentment was when his dear Lisa was alive. How much of this is related to Xander and how much is related to Integra is anyone's guess.


-Is more than willing to still protect Britain and the Royal Prostestan Knights even after he is finally freed from his seals.

It wouldn't be right to upset his future bride by ignoring her people, after all.


-Actually has had tea with Her Majesty te Queen on several occasions without Integra's knowledge. The mostly discuss politics and the pressures of ruling a kingdom. Granted, Alucard's experiences as a ruler are vastly different than her own, but he still enjoys being able to talk to a fellow monarch from time to time.

And the fact her family has allowed the world to think the English crown has been totally neutered despite the large amount of say Her Majesty still has running the country is hilarious to him.


Fake "Dracula


-Was originally a spy for Vlad's brother Radu when he was still human. He used his rahter extensive skills in magick to try to move freely through the people as he observed his targets. This talent, couplped with the rather dark and shady places a spy might find himself in pre-Renaissance led to his eventual turning by a local revenant.


-Is actually doing all he can to try to sully Vlad's good name in defernce to his Master Radu's memory.


-Was not killed upon first encountering Xander and Seras as he tried to seduce Buffy. Rather Buffy led him to them so he could be knocked unconcious and turned over to Wolfram & Hart's legal team. Vlad had no intention of giving this upstart the sweet release of death into he finished paying for his defamation of the No Life King's character.



Walter


-Has no opinion one way or another about Sir Integra becoming a mideon. So long as it is her choice and her coice alone he will support. it.

But heaven help Master Alucard if he should try to force anything upon her.


-Had several contingency plans in place to assasinate Xander should he ever turn on Hellsing and Sir Integra. He was infinitely glad that he didn't need them.


-Is one of the only humans to grasp that Alucard serves Hellsing because he wants to. In his darker fantasies he likes to picture what would have happened to Richard Hellsing the first time he tried to order Alucard to do anything should his coup have succeeded.

1. Was nearing a state of panic for roughly five minutes when he received the report in Seras' true nature from his old contacts in the Watchers as he worried about Xander. Once he took the time to think about the circumstances and whom exactly Xander was, not who he was related to per se but just the lad's typical choice in women, he chuckled to himself and accepted it made more sense than it should.

His blood pressure dropped a good twenty points once he learned that Xander was immune to both ghouldom and becoming a revenant vampire. Some of the worst nightmares Giles ever had revolved around having to stake any of his charges after they were turned.


2. Is still officially listed as a Watcher despite being fired by the Council. He is considered too dangerous when left totally uncontrolled to be pushed aside or forgotten. There are reasons why some of the seedier parts of London's demon community still talk about Ripper and his mates in the same hushed tones reserved for the likes of the No Life King and the Angel of Death. Demons do not forget their history as easily as humans do.

Well some revenants do, but they're considered lesser beings for a reason.


3. Never felt more out of his element as when Xander come to him to ask if it was right for either of them to give Tara the "shovel speech" as part of her choice to date Willow. Then again Xander looked more than a little lost about the situation too. So did Buffy.

Eventually Giles decided that Tara got a pass because they never got to try to intimidate Seras, not that it would have felt any more right to see a kicked puppy expression on Seras' face than it would have on Tara's.



Quinton Travers


1. Has a strong desire to protect the Council of Watchers, and in his mind the world as well by proxy, above all else. Everything he has done he honestly believed was the best he could do for the sake of humanity.


2. Has cursed the lack of diligence by his fact checkers on more than one night since Xander's heritage was revealed. He would have much rather kept Rupert in charge to keep a closer eye on the boy if he could. Now his own pride keeps him from reinstating the former Watcher to cover the mistakes Quinton's direct subordinates made. The fact that they missed the chance to recruit in a direct Belmont and Hellsing heir will never be forgiven.


3. Contrary to popular belief, is smart enough to not bother Xander or Seras directly. Hellsing is not known for tolerance of attacks or mercy toward those that hunt the Royal Protestant Knights directly. The fact that they have the ear and support of the Queen and are in his own back yard only magnifies that threat. And honestly, he rather deal with proper Englishmen than those fanatics from the Vatican if something came about where an alliance was needed.



Joyce Summers


1. Would still regretfully pass on from complications brought on by a brain tumor.


2. Her only reaction to being told of Xander and Seras' conditions was to ask if they still ate and drank normal food. Upon discovery that they did she taught Seras how to make Xander's favorite cookie.


3. Successfully gave the "mom Speech" to both Seras and Tara when the others weren't looking. If given the chance both young women would have preferred the shovel speech from a knife wielding Giles, a stake wielding Buffy, or a Xander with shovel in hand.



Dawn Summers

1. Made Angel jokes for about two hours after learning of Xander's Mideon heritage. It took that long for Buffy and Joyce to tire of her attempts at humor and threaten to bring out baby pictures.


2. Has secretly asked Integra and Alucard (Vlad) both to do what they can to make certain Buffy is never raised again after her sister dies for the final time. The mess with the First Evil was too much for her to stomach.

3. Will never stop loving Xander and being devoted to him, even if ti is in a more familial capacity than he would like. Still at least she knows he will always be there for her.

No matter how many centuries they all live.


Rip van Winkle

1. Was the most devastating agent das Millennium ever produced. It is for that reason alone they can not forgive her lapse against her father in South America. they knew how powerful she was and could not fathom how she could fail to raise even token resistance against Alucard.

Of course they may have known how powerful she was, but only she understood how powerful her father truly is.


2. Took a liking toward Xander from the moment she laid eyes on him. It was almost like looking at father or herself in a lighter mirror. In her more lucid moments she likes to think that if she could stand to bear a child that he would grow up to be like Xander.


3. Only agrees with Adrian on matters that concern slaughtering those that threaten Xander. The Initiative sill never recover from the losses where the whole of the surviving Tepes line, from Vlad through Jessica, as well as Seras descend on them like locusts from Hell as Integra calmly breaks the back of their organization through her political connections.

She swelled with pride and has her father teased Adrian about her higher kill count. That was also the day she knew Seras was good enough to be Xander's mate rather than just a family servant. the way she tore demon and human alike to get to him was just... beautiful in her eyes.



Tara MacLay

1. Is a whole hearted lesbian that is in no way attracted to men. But she still thinks that Xander is a sweetie. And that he's pretty cute. And that the thought of him and Seras together is hot. Or even him and Willow.

Ok, maybe she's only 99.9% lesbian. But he's not totally human so it shoudn't really count. Right?


2. Would not meet an untimely end at the hands of the Trio as she did in another timeline. Between the sense of smell and reflexes that Xander and Seras both demonstrated the bullet never even got halfway to her before Seras got in the way and took the projectile herself. She even saved the three nerd lives as Xander prepared to play castanets with their soon to be empty skulls for threatening his girls like that.

He still shot Warren in the crotch before she could stop him, though.


3. Is the only other one of the Scoobies that shares Xander's love of sci-fi and horror movies. Even Dawn had to teach herself to like them to try to share an interest, but Tara's love of the genres is genuine. It is only the fact that she is a confirmed lesbian that Seras is not more worried about leaving the pair to movie nights while she, Willow, and Buffy go off to have a girls night with chick flicks and gossip about their significant others (whomever that might be for Buffy at the time.)

Tara Maclay (2)

-Is awed by the amount of power Willow can draw when properly motivated. She is the only Scooby, other than Giles, that understands the scope of the power her life mate actually has.


-Is probably the only human, besides Integra, that scares Rip van Winkle. The exact circumstances are unclear to any who have asked, but a confrontation between the two during Xander's recovery after the Initiative incident left the mad vampiress with a strong desire to never piss the Wicca off.


-Was the driving force behind The Incident among the Scoobies. The less said about it the better. But ah, the memories... and the rug burn.



Schr�dinger

-Was actually an agent of the Vatican before he was recruited by das Millenium and made into his current lupie-hybrid form.


-Would like nothing more than to kill Seras, Xander, and Rip van Winkle, in that order. In later years he would be used as an example for baby Slayers in "biting off way more than you can chew, no matter how big your mouth is."


-Was probably the only member of his unit that understood that it was a bad idea to try to recruit Dracula's daughter into the organization originally.



The current and official Belmont vampire hunter

-Is Xander in the sense that he's the lst Belmont to hunt the Darkness, although his Mideon heritage prevents him from having access to some of the true relics.


-Would be Rigby's great-grandfather Simon if any fully human Belmonts understood their duty and heritage. He is the head of the family and has the true Belmont Whip in a trunk in his estate. Not that he understands what that means.


-Would be more interested in running his oil company than hunting even if he DID know about his heritage.



Drusilla

-Danced all day and all night after the stars told her of what happened with her Kitten when he visited his granddaddy.


-Is probably the only revenant to ever earn an iota of respect from any of the Tepes line. Her affection for Xander, no matter how twisted, has earned her more consideration than her bretheren. Besides, Auntie Lilith doesn't have many people she can share her pirctures with.


-Knew of Xander's unique heritage even as she tried to court him under the effects of the love spell gone wrong on that Valentine's day years ago. She never mentioned it to Daddy or her Spike, though. They just didn't understand what the stars told her sometimes no matter how clear she tried to make it for them.



Dawn (2)

-Can honestly claim to have loved Xander since before she even existed. The nature of that love has evolved over the years, but the core feeling itself has never wavered.


-Learned as she grew older that her former place as The Key had a few side effects. Or rather, she learned that when she STOPPED growing older after a time.

Still, at least she had Xander, Seras, and the others to keep her company.


-Would one day end up as the resident computer expert and language specialist for the No Life King and his bride. In all fainess though, she was practically family long before that and Vlad was hardly above nepotism when the person was qualified for the position to begin with.
