While dredging the sewers of the 'net, I came across this: MNT Gaiden.
As far as I can tell, it's a hybrid of a doujin and a webcomic (written in English).
It's drawn pretty well, and they manage to keep the focus on the original four, despite the new characters.
And the best part, is that the story is well-written. They keep the original facets of the characters attitudes, and build on those premises. Raphael beats Mikey halfway to death at one point. It's pretty heavy psychodrama.
The prologue does rush things a little bit ... but that leaves a lot of room to work with.
The only thing I don't like about it, is the occasional "ZOMG!PERVERT!" cliche.
I'd give it a 9/10. However, since I'm a bit biased in favor of anything Ninja Turtles, I should lower that to 8/10.
Any other Turtle fans here?
