I was wondering if anyone knew where I might be able to find and get either the game or show.

Fatuous One would be the one that know the most about helping you. The episodes of Fate/Stay Night have been removed from YouTube. <_<

Here's a link to a site that has the anime episodes for download. (if you have bittorrent that is)

Mahou Fansubs

As for the game? Fatuous One probably has a link.... I think.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Ecchi already suggested a good sub, but he's only semi-correct regarding YouTube. There are a several episodes that haven't been taken off (yet).
:hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: Thankyou! I've been looking for a place to watch the anime (although the ending was rather depressing) I'm really glad to have seen it.

I'll probably make another thankyou about the game but I haven't manged to get a look at the site having spent my last few hours watching the anime to the point of skipping going to bed, so anyway thanks!

Fate/stay night game

A note with the game, you need some sort of mounting tool to play it. I'd recommend either Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools.
Sorry to be a bother about this, but being rather computer illiterate in some area's I was wondering if you could explain what I'm supposed to do after I download the game. I got the Alcohol 120(the trail version anyway) and was wondering what exactly I need to do to get it to where I can play the game.

Well, I am not familiar w/ alcohol, but it should be somewhat similar to daemon, so...
you need to load the iso onto the virtual drive, as symple as that (using the utility, you need to open the cd image file, that should load it)

Hope it helps

Basically, it's just what CB says, but if you're having trouble, I'll give you a step-by-step process. Assuming that you have no problem downloading the .cue and .ccd files and installing Alcohol 120%... (and bare with me, I don't have Alcohol 120% on this computer so I can't check things).

Please note, to be able to install Fate/stay night (or any other Japanese game) you need to set your default ANSI codepage to Japanese. (Insani has an easy FAQ to show you how to do so.)

Firstly, start up A120%. Not sure what the tab is called again, but you need to go to the options and make sure that you have at least one "virtual drive" active. If one is as such, you should have the thing down in the bottom taskbar of the Alcohol 120%'s menu (probably marked as Drive E, or F depending on how many of them you have).

Now, open up your Windows explorer and go to wherever you stored the F/SN .cue and .ccd files. and pull "FateDisc1.cue", "FateDisc2.cue" and "FateDisc3.ccd" and drag them into Alcohol 120%. All three files should just be in the open menu of the A120% after.

Now, take "FateDisc1.cue" and put it into the virtual drive, your computer should automatically bring up a startup menu for Fate/stay night. Click the left option on this (it'll be in Japanese), and then begin the regular game installation (in Japanese, so you might need to wing it at points). Once the game is giving a progress bar for how far it's installed, it will eventually stop in the middle and give you a message. At this point, bring up Alchohol 120% and remove "FateDisc1.cue" and replace it with "FateDisc2.cue" before clicking okay to continue installation.

It should continue, and then finish installing. (Not too sure, it's been a while since I installed F/SN, it may or may not require you to put in "FateDisc3.ccd" to finish installing it.) Afterwards, you can simply put "FateDisc3.ccd" into the virtual drive and double-click on the F/SN desktop icon (if you have it), or go into your program menu and go start up the game.

If you followed the instructions... it should start up. If you have any problems/questions, just ask (and perhaps post up a screenshot of the problem).

Thanks for the detailed instructions they really helped.

On the problems, do you happen to know where it might be possible for me to find a patch or something that would make it possible for me to read it in English? I can play the game and all but I don't know what they're saying.

Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately, there isn't an English translation of Fate/stay night, as of yet. There IS a project going on to translate it, but that is pretty far off (but make sure to keep your eye on it).

Best you can do right now is use Anime Games Text Hooker in conjunction with Atlas to get a quick-n-dirty translate of some of it. Although it's unlikely to give you a great deal of detail. (Some instructions on how to use AGTH and Altas...)

Besides that, not much you can do besides browse the Beast's Lair (more specifically the Walkthroughs & Translations part of it) to gather as much of the translated sections as possible (not going to be much).

EDIT: Oh, and while this may or may not help you, there IS a walkthrough for the Fate/stay night game.

The site is in Japanese, but since the game is in Japanese as well, all you need to do is click on the options that look similar to the ones given. You might want to run some of the things through Babelfish or some other bastard translation program to get a (very, very) basic understanding of what's being said on the walkthrough though.

Take note, you won't be able to follow the Unlimited Blade Works or Heavens' Feel pathes until you've completed Fate.

I don't like to bring up such old topics but I figured this should go here, since its kind on the topic.

i've download Daemon and FASN but when I'm trying to set up my ANSI I can't due to not having the WIN XP home ed. disc. I like to think of my self as fairl;y computer savvy but I'm not sure of a way around this one. any help would be appreciated

I don't think you can do it without the disc, or at least the files on it. I just installed it today and I think it only looked for 2 files, there were some more but I already had them installed. I might be able to remember which ones it needed and upload them somewhere.
