I'm hyped about seeing this game come out for PS2. A lot of interesting goodies, starting with playing as the main FSN characters, special console appearances by Bazett, Black Saber, Leysritt and Lily Saber (what next... Lion Costume Saber?!) and other things like playing through scenarios that recreate events from the Fifth Holy Grail War.

Preview vid: Lily Saber seems to be majorly broken...

Match vids are available on the same channel as well.

I'd only be interested if it got imported and translated into English, but the Fate/stay night anime wasn't popular enough to warrant it, so I don't have any hopes (plus all the top quality Japanese voice acting would be replaced by two-bit English ones).

Which is why I'll be getting my buddies to burn me a copy of the Japanese version... did the same thing for Melty Blood Act Cadenza.

Do not want.

They lost any kind of credibility the moment they had Shirou fighting sans weapons most of the time (even with Ilya-boost, this is just another kind of stupid). The lost whatever they had left due to the atrocious speeds characters move with and the limited arenas. If I play an FSN fighting game, I want to be able to run up walls and recreate things like the Saber vs Rider match that moved up the side of a skyscraper. I want Ludicrous Mobility and Speed that lets the Servants move across dozens of meters in the blink of an eye.

This? This is crap.

So you're saying they should have based a combat engine around something like the Dragon Ball Z engine (with plenty of insane air movement, speed, etc.)?

Running up walls and stuff? That's something more like Gunz: the Duel.

I can actually get behind something like that, though it clearly wouldn't be a fighting game anymore.

The FF Dissidia game would probably come closest to what Griever's asking for, as overused and stale Final Fantasy has gotten nowadays.
