Not really that good for a Naruto Samurai story.
Tears of Darkness by Bloody9Fox is a better story, but be warned the first two chapter suck...BADLY!

Ultimate Experiment: Weapon-X features a fem!Haku. Personally, I think it's pretty good, but I'm terribly biased as it is my favorite fic in my "Ultimate Naruto Series"

Her attacker, the mysterious and escaped experiment of her former master, Weapon-X, also known as the Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi no Youko or Uzumaki Naruto.
Bitter and cold to those around him and loyal only to himself, will the greatest weapon ever produced finally realize the dreams that were abandoned in his childhood, or will he succumb to the stigma and rage that has haunted him since the day of his birth, lost forever to his own humanity...?
How will Naruto's dark experience change the face of fate forever?

I can't. It's not even your fault really, but the moment I saw Hinata appear so early in the fic I closed the tab. I hate the girl. I don't even really have a justification for my hate, she just irks me.
That and Team 8 ruined any other Hinata fic for me right off the bat. It's the only story I've ever managed to stand with her as the ship. I might have been able to get farther along in your story if you hadn't pretty much said it was Naru/Hina in the notes at the bottom.
So I've moved on to another story

Don't let your dislike of one character cloud your judgement.
h43r: EDIT: If it is any consolation, there will be some Naru/fem!Haku, as Haku and Anko are two of the main secondary Characters with Naruto beign to sole primary one.
That's part of the reason why "Weapon-X" is my favorite of my "Ultimate Naruto Series". It is the darkest of all my "Ultimate Naruto" fics and I wanted to take a different approach to it than "Jagan", "Rei Shinobi", or "Master of Magnetism".
My goal is to work in every relationship that DOES happen in a realistic way with proper build up in a sort of side/sub-plot that is completely secondary to the story itself. There will be some parts where the pairing is critical to the fic, but those aren't until later as I introduce more and more of Naruto's past into the fic.
Plus, my characterization of Orochimaru is demented and twisted. He shows his true colors as an evil genius and is roughly my equivalent to Apocalypse.

Yes, Viridian did/does an excellent job with Shino and the Aburame Clan in general in that fic. With a character like Shino it's much easier to stick to canon as much as possible, though I may take a few ques off of Viridian if I go further with Shino's character. I only have one major scene mapped out with Shino in it and it's post Time Skip, where he's on a mission with Hinata and Naruto. That's all I can really say without spilling out too many details.
I'm afraid Rahhel is correct concerning the first two chapters of that old story. Except saying that they sucked badly is quite an understatement. More like they were a bane on humanity. However, for the record I will say that they've been revamped along with a few other chapters through out the years. But ever since the 16th chapter back in 2011, my spark for ideas and motivation for writing were drowned out by a tidal wave of work, school, and relationships. And life has only become more of a tsunami since then. Ah, but forgive my pitiful excuses. I'm getting off topic and I'm sure you ladies and gentlemen have better things to do. Anyways, looking back, I'm not really satisfied with the quality of most of the chapters from that story. 'Especially' 1 and 2 despite the revamp later on. And as some other reviewers pointed out, the dialog I wrote in chapter 4 seems way too forced to me. Yes, I'd say chapters 1,2, and 4 are most disappointing to me when I look back on those days. But that's back when I first seriously started writing fanfiction, or any kind of fanfiction for that matter. Battousai's Apprentice (Formally known as Tears of Darkness) will always my first work of fiction despite the amateurish tracings of literature I've put into it. And for that very same reason, I don't think I'm going to revamp anything else of the story. Alas, it's too sentimental for me to do so. Both due to it being my first piece and due to the times in my life that surrounded it.
However, for anyone still following it or just merely curious, the 17th chapter has been collecting a lot of dust bunnies and mold since 2012. Given that I've finally stumbled upon a match for my rusty ole muse, maybe this week and maybe through next weekend, I'll touch it up a little bit. And of course, add a tweak and there. Upon completion, I can launch my weapon of mass destruction upon fanfiction's masses, hopefully before the U.N crashes through my door. Given that Rahhel was so kind to provide the link, feel free to to follow it. No need for me to repost it then after all. And if y'all got a little while, feel free to leave a review here and there. if you came across it then it means that your ass was way back in the archives. for fucks sake man, read the dates before you post something. hell the last post before you was 6 fucking years ago... hell it was deader longer then my last reenlistment was, and i mean that literally. i reenlisted in AUG of 2008 and finished last august.
Calm down friend, there's nothing worth getting so worked up about at the moment. I simply found the post on google by accident alone. I was curious one day and too lazy to get on fanfiction.net. Since I was already browsing around on google at that time, I simply typed in my old fanfiction username and came across this post. Try it yourself if you don't believe me. But don't forget the quotation marks as that's why I typed in originally as well to narrow down the search.
