FF.net isn't letting me upload fics anymore. Is anyone else having problems there at the moment?

It seems only a few individuals are able to do so, but I do not know how they are doing it. It is not many though.

I know this as I've been monitoring the feeds and there are some updated. However, the only one done that interested me in the last couple days was a Ranma story called 'The Longest Journey'.

No FFN mail alerts for five days, unable to upload anything, the signs are clear.

The FFN servers have their tri-monthly downtime of ten days again.

Oh well. no loss. I got a Mediaminer account, so I'll just post my new K2 chapter there.

The feeds are working, and *some* people have managed to update, I just do not know how.

Both 'The Longest Journey', 'Shared Trouble', and 'KSM: The Advent' for example in the Ranma section have been updated this morning. And for the first two at least they definately contain new material, as I've not seen it before and I track those two stories.

Checking now, in the last hour, some 20 other updates have shown in the just in Feed. For FanFiction.NET, that is almost nothing, as I've seen them get 25 in the feed in 30 seconds.

it's kinda odd.... I know people are able to update at times (depending on what, though? star constellations being in alignment with a carefully crafted bronze duck statuette?)... but -not a single- fic on my Story Alert and no author of my Author Alert list producing an update in a week?

That's 260 stories and another 90 authors... one alert/day is the barest minimum... thats why I think the alerts are down once again >_<

Well, I'm getting about 20 alerts per day (normally about 80) and can't upload stories myself

Well... I'm monitoring some 340 FanFiction.NET feeds, including the Just In Feed. 468 total counting other sites. Regrettibly, FanFiction.NET never implemented their story feeds like they stated they would.

The feeds seem to definately be working, it is the site that is not.

Unlike all the other feeds on the site, that Just in feed has a max update capacity of 25 entries at a time (making that feed near useless really), the rest in it overflow and you just do not get them. Normally, with the traffic FanFiction.NET gets, the thing can be freshed in a *minute* and you get upwards of 25 more entries. However, I've been going on average an *hour* at a time yesterday and it was floating between 8 and 20 entries each time.

I just now went 10 minutes and no new stories in the Just In feed.

Of all the other FanFiction.NET feeds, I know they are working, but I think for all of yesterday, I only saw about 6 or so of them update, including the ones I mentioned in the post above. Which again is ridiculus for a day from that group. As even if it is stories in catagories I could care less about, I would still see them if they are posted.
