This is a project that I have been wanting to write for the longest time. A few warnings though: I still haven't finished FF12 yet, and I do plan on finishing it while I write the story.
If anyone is willing, I need someone with a firm knowledge of other final fantasies
(With the exception of ff9)
The rough idea is this: take eight anime characters and throw them in the combined worlds of a few Final fantasies. Each final fantasy 'world' is protected by a barrier, that weakens severely when the anime characters arrive.

Now, the ROUGH story line is something like this: story starts in Alexandria with the queen. It shows a different view of when she falls to her greed. (dark side anyone?:p)
Then it switches to two or three other final fantasy world some time BEFORE they start. (Maybe with the exception of FF ten because I need their party ready, especially Tidus)

After I have posted this, I will post a short preview in this thread, I do hope that this is the right place, after all, even with the anime characters, it focuses on the Final fantasy worlds. (Hell I might even make some Disney characters show up although that is just an idea right now)

Right, the plot is that each characters has his or her own reasons to get back to his or her own world. Be it for a love, or for something else.

Again, If anyone is willing I need someone with a firm knowledge of final fantasy 7, 8, 9, 10 & 12.
Well, not necessarily 9 and 12 but someone that at least has finished those games.
FF9 is my favorite game, but it has been a LONG time since I played it so my knowledge might be a bit rusty.
Preview is coming soon.
Again, please contact me if you are willing to share your knowledge of the final fantasy series.

Thx

HERE it is, it is EXTREMELY short, but I want opinions people :p

Prologue:
Preparations...

Queen Brahne, the leader of Alexandria was staring over her city with a lost look. Her husband James strife had caught a very serious sickness. It was thanks to him she could keep her greed in the background. It was a sickness of her own, and the most classified secret she had. Thankfully, after meeting her husband, she managed to lock the greed away, but now, without the active support of her husband, the greed was fighting its prison. It would be a matter of time. It was that simple. If the unthinkable would happen, then she knew she would lose the battle against here greed. And that was something she could not allow.
IF she allowed it, she would no longer be able to fight the whisperings that where haunting her now already. The whispers that were trying to convince her to weaken the barriers and to send an invasion to whatever that was out there. The project was one to create a mass army of powerful black mages that had no mind of their own. It was originally meant to protect their in the last war, but it had been canceled since the peace treaty.
With a few simple modifications, they could be used for offensive purposes. And the Alexandrian army, was always better equipped although smaller then its counterparts around the known continents. She turned around and left the room and headed for her bedroom. She had confidence that her husband would beat his sickness.

Somewhere in her consciousness something began to stir, and the cage that locked away her greed started to open very slowly. It was that moment that Queen Brahne lost the battle. She would not realize it until it would be too late.

This is not me being an asshole. This is me trying not to bite a head off. Trust me on this.

That said, what you posted is not a prologue. What it is, is three or four paragraphs worth of segment. And bad formatting. It's something people would post on FFnet and want reviews for.

It's you not trying hard enough.

You can do better than this.

You _will_ do better than this.

Hmm ... The world design of FFIX borrows heavily from the earlier games. Some of the inherent crossovers are blatant -- for example, Zidane's mention of, "A guy with blond, spiky hair, with a sword bigger than the one on the wall." Others are less so -- with the mechanism that fused Gaia and Terra described by Garland (the same Garland that was the last boss in Final Fantasy I?) being suspiciously similar in description to the world fusion caused by Exdeath in FFV. (Cloud is literally seen in Final Fantasy Tactics, of course, but that's Ivalice = the same world as Final Fantasy XII ...)

I'm actually less sure of the inherent crossover elements of XII, though a number of the background devices seem to be shared with Tactics, Tactics Advance, and Vagrant Story. Some of the Summons are final bosses from the earlier FFs, or Zodiac creatures from Tactics. It seems possible that XII actually does occur in a reality where FFI-V and Tactics occurred in the distant past (though not Tactics Advance, due to 4th-wall-breaking storyline). Course, the corruptive effects of the Mist in XII canon fucks up a lot of the magic from the other continuities ...

Regarding your current story concept:
So, you have eight anime characters arrive. Which eight, and where exactly do you want to go? Is there some original villain like in Kingdom Hearts II, with a plot to span all worlds? Or is it something more like the "concern" in Kingdom Hearts I, where there's an alliance of preexistent villains? If not the above, then what other options do you have?

The Kingdom Hearts crossover mechanism was simple and elegant -- an original crisis with fairly well-designed elements comes to endanger every world, and a hero has to join forces with various characters to defeat it. While I wouldn't tell you to clone it exactly, you might want to consider creating something along the same lines. You might go for something a bit less simple -- the goals of one group of heroes, for example, might put them at odds with another group. I imagine that a lot of people might be pissed at the Final Fantasy VI heroes for planning to destroy all magic ...

Looking at Gilgamesh's Bestiary entry in XII, it says that he roams from dimension to dimension, fighting powerful swordsmen and taking their swords if/when he wins. Looking at some of the swords he pulled out, he's battled alternate universe versions of several characters, including Cloud (one of the swords looks sinkingly like the Buster Sword), Squall (Gunblade), Seifer (another Gunblade), and Tidus (it seems to be either the Caladbolg [FFX's Ultima Weapon] or the Brotherhood [a distinctive Water-element sword given to Tidus early in FFX]).
I couldn't identify the last ones he pulled out (one with a blue crystal blade with a demon etched into it, a golden one with a sun emblem engraved into the pommel, and one last one that I didn't get good enough a look at). Just something to note...

As for any other crossover elements in XII, I can't think of any, except for the previously-mentioned Espers (All of them except Shemhazai and Cuchulainn [I think] were from previous games).

On a side-note, I wonder which Zodiac Signs (and therefore, which Espers) each of us fall under. I'm Aquarius, so I'm aligned with Famfrit, the Darkening Cloud.

Sign - Esper - Element
Aquarius - Famfrit, the Darkening Cloud - Water
Pisces - Mateus, the Corrupt - Ice
Aries - Belias, the Gigas - Fire
Taurus - Hashmal, Bringer of Order - Earth
Gemini - Zalera, the Death Seraph - Death
Cancer - Zeromus, the Condemner - Gravity
Leo - Chaos, Walker of the Wheel - Wind
Virgo - Ultima, the High Seraph - Holy
Libra - Exodus, the Judge-Sal - None
Scorpio - Cuchulainn, the Impure - Poison
Sagittarius - Shemhazai, the Whisperer - Soul
Capricorn - Adrammelech, the Wroth - Lightning

Serpentarius - Zodiark, Keeper of Precepts - Dark (Serpentarius lies along the same plane as the zodiac constellations, but is not treated as one).

Eh, I've been playing FFXII a lot recently, so stuff like this is stuck in my head right now...

Oh, also, which FF game (other than FFTA) has a group called the "Redwings"? The extra information given from killing a certain number of Aeronites mentions them existing in a distant land, and the origin of their name and symbol (apparently, where they come from, a red crest symbolizes being the best of the best, and because of that, the Redwings took a red wyvern's wing as their signature emblem).

Final Fantasy IV. The Redwings are Baron's Air Force, and Cecil (FFIV's main character) was it's commander before he got fired.
