Not sure if anyone else plays on the board, or had played.

Hellgate: London is closing down, and Mythos is on hiatus.

Announcement on their Forums...sorta

It's sad to see the game go, even though I wasn't very surprised. I was proud to be a founder and be a part of its beta. It was money well spent.

I beta'd the game, and I have to say I'm not surprised at all. The thing was buggy the skill set for each character wasn't terribly individual and the feel of the game didn't live up to the hype. The crew should've stayed with blizzard. At least then they'd have enough resources so they wouldn't have to rush out a poorly made game.

Yeah, like I said I wasn't surprised.

The sad thing is that the game as it stood right before its closing down is actually a good game. They fixed all the major problems and introduced a lot of free content that improved the game and the social experience.

The problem is that it took too long to recover from the forced release. Vanguard would be a good comparison, but Vanguard is still afloat and rapidly rising from the waves apparently.

I'm more disappointed that Mythos is stuck in limbo at the moment. That was addictive.
