Ok I'm new to a fanicfiction forum like this so I was wondering about the social niceitys for this here forum.

Necroing a thread, when does it count?
Shipping thoughts or staitments, Do or Dont
off topic questions to an author about diffrent things or fics in a thread of theirs
posting pics in threads or offsite links, which should be done for size or content

general stuff like that wich my be diffrent the a descusion thread or stuff that seems unique to this forum

Well, the only times I have an issue with that, is when a thread is brought back to life with some comment that doesn't really add to the discussion. 'Woot! Great! When do we get an update for this!' isn't really something that makes it worth reviving an old thread. But as long as the addition is worthwhile, go for it.

Discuss away to your little hearts content.

Heh, off topic is mostly what's on topic here. :)

Post away. Just make sure to keep nc-17 stuff in the lemon forum.

There are other important things to remember, as well. Such as spelling, punctuation, and, most of all, the Shift key.

Things like that are accepted in a chat, but in a forum where you can easily correct any errors it's a good idea to do so when you spot them. Nobody will always be perfect, but it makes you look better if you at least try to put a decent amount of effort into a post - whether it's a story or part of a discussion.

In any case - welcome!

Welcome to TFF. Please leave your sanity at the door and wipe your feet before you come in

Hmmm... how long before this new addition is incorporated to the Hivemind...

Also, remember - proper sentences~! Long, run-on sentences are a pain to read, so please don't write them.

That's all I've got for now.

You should remember that despite what people say it doesn't count as necro if the thread has had no posts for only a week.

I've run in to some places that said necroing was when a post left the fron 2 pages, others it was the lenght of time since the last post.

Most other forums I've been to either allow for one month before calling it necromancing, or don't care as long as it is relevent to the discussion.

TFF is per Hawk, who reins supreme here, the latter of the two.

I have to say though, IMO, even if the comment is relevent to the discussion thread, if it is a reply to a specific comment of a poster, it likely would not mean much to them if it was from that long ago.

Yeah, I was tempted to reply to several threads in the general discussion forum, but then I decided against it because they simply had been dead for too long.

Welcome to TFF, btw :)
