Green Lantern the Animated series

Actually, this series has started out fairly strong. I didn't expect them to begin offing Lanterns that fast. Also, once again, Ganthet shows that he's the Only Guardian with his head on straight. Seriously, did Guardian IQ's drop sharply when he had his back turned? I mean they're about as bad as the Citadel Council from Mass Effect these days.

Anyways, I called the Red Lantern Kids remorse/heel face turn, but I didn't think they were going to kill off thei new Green Lantern friend. I honestly figured he's be a their guide through this sector of the universe.

One more thing, Hal I'm glad you realized your mistake, but seriously dude had you gone back to Oa you could face these Red Bozos with an army instead of a two man strike team.

Oh.....and Carol is going to be PISSED....I'd suggest bringing flowers, a box of chocolates and revealing your secret identiy to her, it might save your life.

If he did that how would she get upset enough to end up as Star Sapphire down the road?

She might end up as Star Sapphire before he gets back.

Hmmm a solid episode that appears to hint at the creation of Yellow Lantersn. Razor is on track to becoming a heroic character and Hal managed to deal with the villain sans ring.

That said, the villain dropped his pretense awful fast, I half expected him to start twirling his moustache at some points.

You both earn 20 cool points for calling it. YJ kind of overshadowed it but the GL cartoon did in fact show Carol becoming Star Sapphire and trying to punish Hal for hurting her. Thankfully she was back to her senses by episode end but still....

One thing I gotta ask.

Why did she leave?

She could have stayed.

I mean.

What.

They're up against an entire Corps, they need every ring they can get, regardless of what color it is, the fact Razer is still with them is testament to that fact.

Carol, what the hell.

Yeah, that annoyed me, as well. It's not like its the 60s, any more.

Sure, she didn't know all that, but she knew a little, at least enough that she should have asked more.

What are the odds Razer becomes a green lantern by season ones end?

I could see him working through his rage...eventually.

Well if the Orange Light is like the comics then their can be only one!!!

Yellow would mean he has joined Sinestro.

Blue maybe if goes the whole spiritual redemption route.

Indigo or Violet don't seem the type he would go for.

I suspect it'll be Blue after the whole Saint Walker thing. Plus, Blue Lanterns charge Green Lanterns and gain most of their powers from being in close proximity to them. Makes sense.

The character development required would be interesting.

Okay, after that last episode, I'm sure of it. Razor's becoming a Blue Lantern at some point.

The effect of the Blue Light of Hope on the GLs was interesting, and would be easier to model in the RPG than 'Ring capacity at 200%'. Generally good episode, though I rather think they should execute Ragnar, as they did in the comics.

They dont execute people in Kids shows. They "send them to another dimension."

Considering the Lanterns are enroute to face the armada all that stands between Atrositous and The green lantern battery on Oa is the Guardians and he more than likely has a way to deal with them.

I say well played good sir.

Fuck yea, Mogo. Personally, that was my favorite bit of animation from the episode.

Anyone thought that scene where aya shed a tear was kind of cheesy?

So, no one's posted here since the new season so I'll be the first! Manhunters, Guy Gardner, The Anti-Monitor, Steam Lantern (with reference to Alan Scott), Sinestro, all that good stuff. Howsabout them guardians huh? with their jerkass politican-ness and so on. Also I was surprised by what happened in yesterday's episode, though I suppose given the nature of Aia's character they may press the reset button somehow.
