I'm actually dissapointed.
While I guessed that someone would run interference, I was hoping for Jr. to pull it off on his own. He's been shielded or lifted of the responsibility of fighting for most of the comic, and his moment after going against Him fizzled out to early for my tastes.
Granted, it's still likely since this fight may, hopefully, go on for a few pages. It'll likely come from a final or later turn of the tables if Minnie's efforts aren't enough. And the battalions of Hell, Grimm, Mandy, Nergal and Danny are made pre-occupied/incapable.
In any case, Minnie has nice looking sword. Looks like suspended heavenly-blue fire.
On another note, I'm starting to really like the design of Junior's creature.

RE: Nomnomnom: If it takes him in whole to assimilate the reaper powers, I'm guessing Jr. will go through one of those self discovery shticks and burst out the big guy...and then PWNage.

It's pretty easy to figure out actually.
Currently, Minnie is a pure soul, she doesn't have a body since hers is dead.
So now they're going to retrieve it, stitch it up back together as well as they can and put her soul back in it, basically making her an undead of sort.
Which is why her "new" body lack an eye while her soul still has both.

Though, seeing how everyone there is a 'soul' of sorts, one has to wonder why such a thing is necessary. Especially seeing how Minimandy seems to be doing perfectly fine as she is.
I'd imagine that some sort of reason to explain why she needs a body is going to pop up next. Like her being a pure soul for too long with nothing to tie her down will cause her to fade away, or something of that nature.
Regardless of the explaination, I doubt it will be perminant. She's doing perfectly fine right now, so I'd imagine the patchwork body is just a vessel of convenience.

Thought. The Redeemer said that she isn't quite pure enough for Heaven, because she loves Jr. Going by what he said, the opposite likely applies as well. That is to say, she's not quite good enough for Heaven, but she's not nearly bad enough for the Underworld or Hell.
Thus, it's possible that she's doing fine as a soul, and will continue to do fine, but will be incapable of returning home to the Underworld with Jr, Mandy, and Grim as she is. Thus, if she wants to go with them, she has to use her old body as a container for her soul.
That is to say, it is something she needs, but only while in the Underworld, where her demonic flesh gives her an auto-pass for being there. She likely doesn't need it elsewhere.
