Need to watch a bit more of the series—and trying to find where I can watch it online—before I’m truly comfortable even writing a Plot Bunny Chapter.
But the basics:
While running from another round of Harry Hunting, a young Harry (age 7 or 8) comes across a yard sale, where the elderly woman is getting rid of the last things her husband collected.
Harry comes across a tome with a broken crystal in its front cover, which the old woman gives to him, as it was something her husband found on his travels in the Pacific during WWII.
He pricks himself on it, dropping some blood on it, which heals the crystal.
The book is like the Tome of the Night Sky. Not sure what to call it, but the current idea is Tome of the Morning Star (play on Rising Sun). The Master Program is called Kogoshui, whose gender will never be defined.
The book originally contained five servants, whose existence became the basis for the Japanese Pantheon.
Izanagi: creator of the world in the pantheon, in reality; he’s primarily the group’s healer.
Izanami: goddess of death, but in reality, an assassin.
Amaterasu: goddess of the sun, but is really a fire user.
Tsukuyomi: moon god, but in reality, uses illusions to fight.
Susanoo: King of Storms, but uses weather magic and electricity to fight.
These five servants are contained within five stones, which have spread out over the world, but try to influence their holders to return them to the book, so they can be reactivated. So Harry will be tasked by Kogoshui to gather them, sending Harry towards Japan to gather them, teaching him along the way.
Not sure if overkill would be to also give Harry a device to defend himself with, and what it should be, but likely named after the Sun.
The final stop before meeting Nanoha and Fate when Fate uses weather magic to awaken the Jewel Seeds—not sure if Harry will have collected any at this point.
So, opinion? Links to the series online?
