Akamatsuverse If you were a teacher

Well, I feel the need to amuse myself.
Thus, I attempted to convert an idea from one thread to another.
We'll so how well that goes down the line.

So, if you were a teacher at Mahora...

For added fun, do a 'Straight' and a 'Savvy' version.

Straight version is play the role straight. You know, wonder how the hell a ten year old got a teaching degree.

Savvy is play it like would if you were... you. Like... well, this is more like a self insert bit. Play it for fun or for serious, I don't mind.

Ok.
It's basicaly 'you as a jonin sensei', Negima version.
You could also consider it a character dump, for the Negima-verse...

Here's an example.

Name: Arimoto Shiki
Age: 32
Occupation: Math Teacher/Sub, also works as a faculty advisor for the 'Mahora Flying Club'.

Special Skills: Has a pilot's license, surprisingly good at jet-fighter games, volunteer pilot for the Mahora Technical Department's proto-mech.

Combat Skills: Zero in melee. He could be a very good fighter pilot, though.

Magic?: None. He hasn't encountered it, but believes that it possibly might exist. He does notice all the weird things going on around campus, but chooses to just go with the flow, rather than risk his pay-check, or his memories. After all, he did notice the 'Memory erasure' clause in his contract.

Other:
Shiki's unaffected by SEP fields. Hence, he notices all the weird things on campus. While, normaly, he would have not even been hired because of that, you know, being very likely to expose the secret of magic and all, but since the Dean needed some new faculty rather badly, he arranged an alternative contract.

The Dean was fairly surprised when Shiki found the 'Memory Erasure' clause. And slightly more surprised when he signed it anyway.

So, while Shiki knows that the campus is a veritable weirdness magnet, he doesn't know about magic. He might suspect something after teaching Eva for five years though.

Ah ha, this sounds like fun. Well, here's a character to dump:

Name: Mugen Junsei
Age: 19
Occupation: Biology Teacher/Psychology Teacher Assistant

Special Skills: A multi-linguist. On top of her native Japanese, she has reached a conversational level in Russian and German and fluency in Mandarin Chinese.

Combat Skills: Above average reflexes but that is all.

Magic: Is a mid level Empath that can lightly influence the emotions of others. Knows the "magical side" exists but hasn't taken the effort to involve herself in it. To a certain extent, she might even resent the secrecy.

Other: "Junsei" means perfection and much like her name, she strives for it. She's was very proud of having earned a teaching degree for college biology until she heard about Negi and developed a mild superiority complex. She currently at Mahora to work on her doctorate for Psychology at the on campus university.

Well, guess I'll give it a try.

Name: Ulrich van Buren
Age: 52
Occupation: Professor of Chemistry at Mahora University

Special Skills: His mild obsession with explosives blends right in amongst all the other weirdness. Knows German well and English passably.

Combat Skills: Can talk a good fight. He might have been a threat twenty years ago, but is now well past his prime and knows it. Can probably still take down the average member of the Martial Arts club through sheer experience, but is badly out of practice.

Magic: He has no magic training to speak of himself but owns several magical antiques, the most notable being a magic gun and a dark wooden stake reportedly used to slay several vampires during the Middle Ages in Europe.

Other: Proud heir of a long line of vampire slayers that has fallen out of the public eye due to the relative rarity of vampires in modern times. Raised in Germany. Knows of magic but tries not to get involved with any of the bigger stuff. Originally came to Mahora fifteen years ago on the rumour that a vampire was stalking the grounds, but has found no evidence of any such thing so far. Stayed because he rather likes his salary and honestly enjoys teaching. He has recently sponsored a 'Vampire Research Club' consisting of several people who became interested in the rumours of the 'vampire of Sakura Lane'.

Is this girl going to be using 2-A as case studies while working on her PhD?

My potential teacher

Name: John Mycroft

Age: 46

Occupation: Journalism Professor (University-level), formerly a correspondent for the British Evening Standard newspaper.

Special Skills: An intelligent man, speaks fluent English, French, Japanese, and can bluff his way through other languages in a pinch. Has extremely neat handwriting.

Combat Skills: Minimal. Is something of a coward.

Magic: None

Other: Writes occasional pieces in the Mahora News, and is something of a mentor figure for Kazumi. Has tried his hand at writing fiction at least once every two years since he was hired at Mahora; has never been published. Has seen just about the worst of everything humanity has to offer. A deeply cynical man, who hides it fairly well.

I had not thought of that, but it has the potential. It would slightly unscientific to focus all of the attention on 2/3-A at first (does not satisfy random sample and sample size requirements, etc) but she could easily be intrigued by that class and stick around longer outside of official "work." Thanks for the idea.

Just a little piece that popped out of my head...
__
Arimoto Shiki gazed at the Mars Versus Mages booth. He'd love to compete in it, he really would, but...

He sucked at shooting. Even with the wands and bazookas, he doubted he could hit the broadside of a barn.

"Arimoto-sensei, you look depressed." Said a voice to the left of him. Instantly, he sprung to attention. What was the Dean doing here?!

"Ah, it's nothing sir! Just taking a break." The Dean always managed to make him feel like he was a nervous kid! The old man eyed Shiki suspicously.

"Really, now? And here I had a proposal for your flying club. I heard that you all really wanted a go at the game, but it's not really suited to you 'aces', eh? So, we got a little surprise for you. But, if you're too tired, I understand." The Dean turned, as if to walk away.

"Please, wait sir! Can you tell me a little bit more!"
___

"Arimoto-sensei! You didn't!"

"Sensei! I came as soon as I heard!"

"Is that one of those guns from that event they're hosting?"

"Alright everyone, listen up! The Mahora Flying Club's been asked by the Dean to act as 'Hero' characters! There's not a lot of us, and we don't know what we'll be flying against, so keep your heads on a swivel up there! We're going to be defending these six points! If the point your defending is overrun, get out off there and head to another defense point! Any questions?"

"Sensei, do we have a shot at that prize?"

"Sorry, Hyakuren-san. We get fancy toys, but we won't be getting the grand prize."

"Awwwwww."

"Hey, now! Cheer up! The one who gets the most kills in the club, gets a special prize!"

"Ooh, what is it?"

"It better be something good!"

"It is! The person with the lowest kill count will have to do all the maintenance on the person with the highest scores plane for the next month!"

"... What am I standing around for?!"

"Shinji-kun! Is the catapult ready?"

"I won't lose, Arisa-chan!"

"Better be ready to lose, Hishimori-san!"
___

"Alright, this is Maho-One, anyone see anything yet? The event supposed to start pretty soon."

"Maho-Two, here. Sorry, Sensei. I don't see anything yet."

"Maho-Three, reporting in! I got nothing!"

"Maho-Four. Activity at the lakeshore. It ... seems to be our resistence."

"Alright, Mars-tan is here! You are cleared to engage, Oko-tan! Murderize 'em!"

"...Sensei?"

"Yes, Akoshio-san?"

"Why is our ground control... Makoto?"

"Do you want him up here, Akoshio-san?"

"Rip them up with your bullets! Tenderize them with your glorious shiny light of doom, you beautiful angel of destruction, you!!"

"... I understand, Sensei."

___

Confusing, laden with OC's, and since I don't know anything about aerial combat, other than what I've picked up from Ace Combat, missing alot of details.

The board will render me asunder for posting it.

I had a lot of fun writing it, though. I can't help but think it would be kinda fun, to cover the mis-adventures of some of the competitors in the Mars verus Mages fight.
