Iron Fic 5: The End of the Dream

We dream impossible dreams. Sometimes we achieve them, and see our successes written against history. Other times our failures are catastrophic, or life-destroying.

Write a story about the end of a dream. This can be a tragic story of failure, or relief from a nightmare, or a story about the completion of a goal.

The topic can be interpreted as literally or symbolically as you want. But the dream must end.
