Chapter 1: Meeting for the first time

Today had been a good day for Genma. The boy was progressing nicely in knowledge in the art and little RanmaÆs drive was making him quite the commodity for the dojo masters with daughters. Now all he had left to do was have Ranma learn this ultimate technique and the road to riches and wealth on the blood, sweat and tears of his boy would be assured.
Now Genma had followed this training manual to the letter. He had Ranma dig the deep pit, even if it nearly collapsed on him once. Then he had Ranma catch most of the cats, the rest he æadoptedÆ from the humane society near by. That was of course three days ago and the yowling was beginning to get annoying. Now all Genma had to do, according to the training manual, was to tie the fish sausage that he had liberated from the butcher shop around Ranma and to toss him in and put a lid with a few holes in it over Ranma. Well, the holes werenÆt suppose to be their but, what could a martial artist do, no one would take his word of honor about borrowing something like a large piece of sheet metal for nothing. As he put the fish sausage around RanmaÆs body, he noticed that Ranma seemed more and more nervous as he heard the cats yowling.
ôUm, papa? Why are you covering me in fish sausage,ö asks a weary Ranma as he looks nervously at the pit. All he wanted was to go back and visit Uc-chan again. He remembered last time that his father had looked like he had now, and that had been for the lion cub training. And that had HURT.
ôWhat is it?ö
ôDo I have ta,ö asks a nervous little Ranma is slowly but surely becoming frightened.
ôYes, my boy. Today, you will learn an unbeatable technique,ö pontificates Genma as he finished dressing Ranma in fish sausage and leads Ranma over to the dark pit.
ôBut Dad, where are the kitties that I caught?ö
ôYou will find out soon enough son,ö says Genma as he brings his arm back to toss Ranma into the pit.
ôDo me proud boy,ö says Genma as with a loud clang, he slams the lid to the pit shut.
--
Scene: Roadway in Juuban, outside of the property that Genma had the pit in.

Another day in high school had passed for Makoto Kino. Even if she hadnÆt seen or battled any youma, droid or cardian in a few years, she still kept her martial arts skills sharp incase Pluto missed ANOTHER enemy that by passed the time gates. Even with the passage of a few years, Makoto Kino was still taller than most of her classmates, which was something that irked her greatly. The only thing different about high school and her Junior High was the fact that some of the brainier guys didnÆt seem to have the same fear of her as some of her older classmates had. Even though some of the jocks got the stupid idea that she was easy game due to her living alone all of this time. Of course, the last poor sap who tried to do that found out that some of JupiterÆs attacks bleed through to MakotoÆs normal form and had to puzzle the reason why he felt like he was playing near a power line. Her friend Minako had been nervous when Artemis went missing for the past few days, so her and her friends had started putting up missing posters to help find Artemis. Of, course the sound of all those yowling cats was getting disturbingà.

ôWait a minute? CatÆs yowling in the daytime. What is going on,ö says a confused and curious Makoto as she peers over the edge of the surrounding wall.
ôHuh?ö says a now befuddled and concerned Makoto watches a small boy being thrown into a large pit by a man that looked over weight. She then watched horrified by hearing the cats begin to yowl loudly and the overweight man slams the heavy lid shut.
---
ôNow for some sake after a hard dayÆs work,ö says Genma as he leans against a tree. Little did Genma realize that someone had been peeking over the block wall.
ôWhy THAT!ö says Makoto as she runs into a nearby desserted alley (long story, something about an ice cream truck and not having the flavor that Usagi wanted. Very messy, along with the truck company trying to explain how a slip of a girl destroyed their truck without driving it). ôJupiter Planet Power!ö cried the now Sailor Jupiter as she called upon her transformation phrase.

--
Genma was on his third bottle of sake when he heard a strange cry of a girl. Figuring out that it was none of his business he just sat back and waited for his foolish son to start learning the Neko-ken and thank his father for teaching him such a glorious technique. Then, living off of RanmaÆs earnings, he could teach Ranma in luxury until it was time to have Ranma married off to one of SounÆs daughters. He didnÆt even see the blinding flash of something before he felt excruciating pain and nearly blacked out.
--

Eyes nearly glowing with malevolent power, Sailor Jupiter watched as the fat man lit up from being clipped by one of her lesser lightning bolts. As the man began to shake off the effects of the magical attack, he noticed that his antagonist was preparing for what looked like a MUCH more powerful attack. Of course, when Genma saw that the girl was forming something that looks like a dragon made out of lightning. As she began to release the attack, Genma dived to the side and watched in utter shock as the top of the pit, along with the house behind him, was utterly destroyed by the attack. As Genma realized that this psychotic girl was attacking him, he fled like the coward that he was.

--
Makoto would have sworn a blue streak if she wasnÆt to busy prepping another electrical attack for that asshole that had throw that child into some pit and slammed the lid shut. Of course that didnÆt make her near as angry as hearing the yowling cats and the screaming child in the pit that just had its lid blasted into smithereens. As the fat man started to run, Makoto sent another bolt in his direction. As she saw the man leap over numerous rooftops, Makoto started to walk toward the pit.
As Makoto walked over to the pit the first thing that she noticed was the fact that Artimus was there. And a golden glowing Artemis at that. Artemis had apparently activated an ancient power from within him when he had started to protect the little boy. Now, he was vastly outnumbered so he was pretty scratched up, but he was glad when he recognized the electrical dragon of JupiterÆs attack. Now all he had to do is to find a way to get both himself and the wide-eyed child out of the pit then he would be fine.
ôHey, Makoto! Can you get us out of here before these cats decide to have junior back here for lunch,ö yelled Artemis as he blocked a few more cats from getting to Ranma.
ôOne moment Arty, I am going to get a board so that the cats can leave on their own,ö yelled Sailor Jupiter.
ôLook out below!ö cried Sailor Jupiter as a wide plank descended into the pit and most of the cats used this path to run out. After watching a few of the healthier cats run out, Makoto jumped in the pit and walked over to the cowering child.
ôYou all right little one,ö asked Makoto in a caring voice.
ôKàKàKitties tried to eat me. But, glowing kitty fight them off,ö stuttered a nervous Ranma.
ôWell, letÆs get out of here. Come on Arty, you deserve some fish for this.ö
ôReally,ö said an all of the sudden excited Artimus. ôWhat kind of fish.ö
ôI think that Minako will agree on some salmon for your dinner tonight.ö
ôMmmmm, salmon,ö drools Artimus.
ôWell, lets first take you to one of my friends Mom who is a doctor,ö says Makoto as she jumps up and out of the pit and lets Ranma stand up on his own after she lands.
ôWhereÆs Pop,ö asked a confused Ranma as he looked wide-eyed and was impressed by the leveled house.
ôI drove him off. IÆm sure that weÆll try and find him later,ö lied Makoto as she realized that she still was in senshi form.
ôCan you keep a secret,ö asked Makoto
ôSure,ö said a curious Ranma
ôWatch this,ö says a grinning Makoto as she changes back into her normal form.
ôWow! Can you pull bunnies (Ranma is about 6, what do you expect) out of a hat too,ö asks an eager Ranma.
ôI do a different kind of magic kiddo.ö
ôOk.ö
ôWell, for you to go to the doctor.ö Said Makoto
ôBut, I donÆt want to go to the doctor,ö whines Ranma.
ôThis doctor is a nice doctor, plus I need to drop this kitty off with its owner.ö
ôWell, Minako is probably wondering where I am by now,ö said a sleepy sounding Artemis.
ôAfter Ranma gets his check up, ok Arty,ö said Makoto as she heads toward the hospital.
ôOk, ok.ö

A new take on the over used Ranma/Sailor Moon cross. I have to say i like the idea.

I just have a strange thought in my head... i'm seeing a pink haired child in Ranma's arms and a pink haired mommy in the hospital bed... :snigger: :snigger: :snigger:

Oh well..

007 you have to admit that until recently your posts weren't quite fine...

On the other hand DKG you should encourage him when he post like this and not make fun of him.

Anyway back to the topic a little question:

Who sees Hotaru as a over protective sister?

Dunno maybe the type that will stick her silence glaive in a certain's panda netherzones?

If Hotaru is older than Ranma, then yes I can see her as over protective. If Ranma is going to be older, it would make more sense that he'll be the over protective one.

Did you even read the fucking story?

Read? Surely, you jest. 007 doesn't need to read the story, he can magically figure it out from the first 3 paragraphs and then make the rest up in his mind.

...it's the only explanation I have for him saying that when the fic CLEARLY shows Ranma is the younger one...

After gaining SOME respect from us, 007 decides to descend back into the depths of annoyance. :flameon:

Flame the guy but answer me too.

Question: which one's Hotaru?

In other news, 007 wins the prize!

And if you don't know what Saturn (the Senshi, not the planet) looks like, just take a gander at one of Fatuous One's posts.

And hope that the avatar and sig have not changed by the time you see this.

Interesting idea, by the way.

Sailor what now? There's a Saturn?

Bah. My only exposure to Sailor Moon was the 4Kids dub on Cartoon Network back during the 90s. Aside from the hentai, that is...

You need to die a slow painful death for not knowing who Sailor Saturn is. And that wasn't 4Kids that dubbed Sailor Moon, it was... DiC Entertainment I believe.

Still, I suppose I can't blame you for not going much into Sailor Moon considering that god awful dub that it was.

This is an adequate picture of Hotaru/Sailor Saturn. It's the one Eternity uses as his avy.

4Kids, DiC, they both suck. I got tired after the first few episodes where the main character kept falling directly into the enemy's trap, only for the idiot bad guys to discount her for some inane reason (dispite the fact that her normal form looks THE EXACT DAMN SAME as her magical girl form), allowing her enough time to go through her semi-erotic transformation, followed by a cliche DBZfest of a battle, ending in her using the stupid wand thing (that she could've used at the BEGINNING of the fight) only after the Phantom of the Opera dude shows up.

The one episode I saw that included magical girls other than the main character, there were only three others - a blue one, a red one, and a green one. That's as far as my knowledge of the franchise goes.

Cartoon Network?

I necer watch the american version of a series. It makes things rotten damn rotten. So if you had a dislike for that anime it would be amplified by the american version.

Bah Saturn is my favorite senshi out of the bunch. :p

My ISP's too slow to pirate and I don't have enough money to buy DVDs. Thus, Adult Swim has been my only source of anime for the past two or three years now.

Hmm. I remember watching Sailor Moon (DiC dub) on network TV. Which was before Cartoon Network showed up. At the time I didn't think much of it. Heck, even thought it was entertaining even if I though the fight scenes were lame. Well, still think the fight scenes are lame, and still not sure why it is so popular, but at least I know... it was still butchered by the American company compared to the original series in Japanese.

And what do you know, how appropriate for the name of the dub company, DiC. :snigger:

You can blame the popularity on the fact that it had only women as main characters. It seemed to me as a dominatrix fantasy. lol

I might also point out their extremely short skirts and those nice legs. Even though the American producers did try to hide that fact by making their socks into stockings.

But other than that... I thought the show overall was lame. It was entertaining when I was a kid but, well, I didn't know any better at the time.

No, no, no. The Dom fantasy one is Wonder Woman.

Well, there are the ending 'moral' themes to each episode. I'm not sure if they were added by DiC or not. But they were there.
