IÆve actually had an idea bouncing around my skull for a long time, and only the recent new series of Digimon X-ross has made me actually want to go into detail about it. Pretty much itÆs a Digimon x Love Hina crossover. ItÆs not a crossover with any of the series, though it does take bits and pieces from all of them. Ideals and possibilities.
Basic premise is that Keitaro Urashima is an agent of high rank in a Digimon organization. Going to call it DEcoDE (Digital monstEr DEfense.) Decode has members all over the world, in places where rips to the Digital World open up. TheyÆre main job is simply to do what they did in the TamerÆs World pretty much. Defeat Wild Digimon so that they donÆt harm humans.
The story opens up with Keitaro having some vacation time and thinking ôHey, IÆll go visit Granny.ö Or maybe he gets a letter in the original story asking him to come over. The point is he does, and it starts off the same way. Only this time as he runs into Shinobu, she manages to drop something that looks familiar. An almost copy of the same device he has, she hastily picks it up and the story goes on. After things get cleared up, he puts it out of his mind, itÆs not his problem æsides he has to get back to headquarters. Sure, Haruka tries to get him to stay what with the Manager position and all, but he just canÆt. She asks about his promise and if heÆs really going to just give it up.
ItÆs not that he wants to give up on Todai, there are just some things more important, and heÆs sure she would understand. He doesnÆt go into specifics, something which bugs Haruka. However just as heÆs packing up to leave again, his Digivice, along with ShinobuÆs goes off. The poor little girl is shocked that the older man has one. Keitaro rushes out to find the signature, with Shinobu following close behind surprising herself along the way. At some point she loses him to the twists and turns of an ally only to stumble upon his Digimon absorbing the data of another one.
After some explanations are out of the way, Shinobu learns of DecodeÆs existence. All this time she thought she was the only person with a Digimon, and every time a rip opened up she hid inside the Inn, frightened of fighting the monsters. Keitaro reports the datarip to the Head of Decode and learns that heÆs to stay there incase of anymore. Hopefully training the young girl so that she can eventually take care of that city by herself so that he might go on to different assignments.
Along the way misadventures happen, love triangles are formed, and Keitaro really does become ShinobuÆs teacher. However, thereÆs a bigger problem afoot. More dangerous that just the Digimon coming into the real world. Accounts of strange Digimon with an ôxö like mark that can usually be found some where on the body have been showing up. These digimon are twice as strong, and four times as vicious as the normal digimon. Not only are the Digimon dangerous, but their data is as well. See, when a Digimon is defeated, the victor usually takes the defeateÆd data to become stronger. However, when an x-virus digimon is defeat and itÆs data is taken itÆll infect the victor as it did the defeated. Only the power a Digivice can purify the Data, and sometimes that doesnÆt even work.
Eventually Keitaro and Shinobu are forced into the Digital world to find out the source of this virus and stop it.
Digivolution style is based on Third Season with the BioMerge concept. It's something that I just loved about that series and I like to add it to any digimon ideas I come up with. I actually decided on the Digimon and their Evolutions for Keitaro and Shinobu. I don't know if anyone else should have the chance to have digimon, or if it should stay a Keitaro and Shinobu partnership fic. I added one for Motoko simply because making one for her was insanely easy. Also I added a possible corrupted final Evo due to corrupted x-virus data.
