Unbeknownst to any of those below, the TSAB were also getting ready to deploy. Headed by Chrono and Fate, the special forces team made their way to the transporters thinking about how they were going to deal with the Wolkenritter and the abilities they were known to use.

Though they had been briefed about the presence of local mages, none of them paid that information much regard. After all, how dangerous could some scattered mages from a primitive backwater planet like this one be? They didn't even have devices to boost their powers!
This just me laugh. Now I have to wonder what they're reaction just to Atlas would be, much less some of the other crazy places in just in the Typemoon world much less the Negimaverse. Not to mention the various monsters, human or otherwise running around said world.

Though I have to admit it does fit they're style somewhat to me. The TSAB really does seem to fall into blunt DBZ type mentality when it comes to power equaling ability where the Typemoon world seems to fall into the more skilled you are the more dangerous/powerful you happen to be with their emphasis on learning to use what capabilities you have to their full potential (mixed in with a bit of cheating). Negima seems to fall somewhere between them, though closer to the TSAB side somewhat.

And Archer with his own Intelligent Device is just win. :D

Aoko's actually a good example for the Typemoon mentality. Her ability when it comes 5th magic is do to her incredible talent and skill instead of sheer raw personal power. Yeah she's capable of causing incredibly major amounts of destruction but that's do to her skills as a magican and magus when it comes to using what she has to its full potential apparently.

IRC, she only has one circuit. Someone correct me if I'm wrong since my knowledge of Nasuverse is iffy at best.

I kinda feel bad for the TSAB. Kinda.

And is it wrong that after the trip to the pizza shop I have an image of Vita sleeping with a Cheez-kun plushie stuck in my head?

Yes. It's Cheese-kun.

I doubt Archer can win just be fighting on their terms. Even if he has a cartridge system he doesn't have the raw power of the aces. Could Archer trace cartridges? He'd have a definite advantage if he had an unlimited amount of them.

Archer should potentially be able to trace their weapons, which is more than enough as it'll let him learn their fighting style.

First, he'd need time to figure out what they could do. Second, would he have enough power for that?

I don't see why it'd take that much power. He might not be able to pull off the majority of their spells but it isn't like the ID are going to have the same type of drain that a Noble Phantasm is. Besides doesn't drain come from summoning what he's traced into reality and not from the tracing itself?

The cartridges are pretty much just stored magical power. We see the Shamal making them in one of the episodes. So if Archer traced cartridges, he would essentially be tracing mana...is he allowed to do that?

Yes. It would just be pointless/stupid, as he would get less out than he put in.

Archer can trace Excalibur. He just doesn't have enough prana to survive using it. But still, in terms of difficulty, far far more abstract and difficult than an ID.

I thought he only said that because he already used up a good portion of his prana supply. There was the fight with Lancer, the sword spam that killed Caster, a brief fight with Saber then UBW. If Archer was fresh he should be able to do it.

Err... back on topic. My apologies for the small necro.

Anyway, just finished reading this Alyeris. Excellent work and thanks for posting this story.
