And to think that when the DCU wants to run a hero through this, they just have Jonathan Crane show up and spritz a little fear gas.

But no, Marvel has to bring in a god and dump an apocalypse on the entire planet.

*sighs* Its not the size, Marvel; its how you use it.

Again, the Marvel-verse cannot possibly sustain itself, the world ends every other weekend, there shouldn't be any normal humans by now simply due to emotional, economic, social, international depression, suicide rates going up, people just saying "fuck it", mutants fucking up the world so much dramatic shifts in the planet kill MORE people, etc.

I stopped keeping up with large comic continuities due to the simple fact that the worlds do not make sense. AT ALL. I just can't suspend my disbelief, the emotional, physical and visceral reactions and behaviours of people within them DO NOT MAKE SENSE, not in ANY FORM.

People die and are tortued and whole worlds die repeatedly, MANY times within small timespans, there are too many beings capable of rewriting reality, the world, or ending the universe, or just plain continent destroying, there are too many rehashes or changes of already accepted canon due to new writers etc.

This is why I read manga instead of Marvel comics, at least each manga has one Author.

It's not like DC is much better. How many Crisis events have there been by now?

Look at it this way. If you're correct then we might be headed for another comic crash which will at least give us something interesting to observe*.

* I call dibs on mocking them if they print '1st edition collectors volumes' en masse and expect profits.

What's next? Ed Brubaker and Joe Quesada working together to make something that makes One More Day and Deadly Genesis look tame by comparison? I wish someone would do me a favour and retcon those two retcons out of existence.

God of Fear vs. The Man Without Fear?

This has the potential to be the shortest biggest event in comic history ever.

Somewhat in DC's defense (though not much considering some of there other actions*) Atleast those crisis' do not effect the normal man very much, (Identity Crisis, and Blackest Night**) or else they tend to reset the multiverse so it makes sense why people still are alive***.

*I mean really you would expect that after the second city is destroyed in a world shaking kaboom the world governments would get a little harder on the dumbass villians that can't play by the rules. I mean really Cheshire who ignited a real nuke seems to be just walking around free, and the hero's just don't seem to care. Though people might just might be able to excuse that with the resets somehow <_< <_<

**While Blackest Night was a huge event and no doubt mentally traumatizing to the hero's and villains, the Black Lanterns were not resurrected to haunt the normal folk nor did they really even bother to notice them.

***And this is why it is only a little bit in DC's defense because really that shit got old.

Daredevil won't be much help. This is a being that gets more powerful as people fear. Daredevil is a human with a built in radar and some sticks.
