I don't know why, but lately I've been pondering various fic ideas set int he Warhammer 40K verse.... most aren't ready for a sepreate thread quite yet... so I made this thread so I don't clutter up things...

anyway..

1. What if a Inquistor were to track down rumors of a powerful anti-daemon weapon wiht scraps of knowledge dating from the Dark Age of technology/Age of Strife.

Well after several decades of search (Remember knowledge of this time period is extremely fragmentory...) said inquistor manages to track a lead downt oa recently rediscovered Human planet... currently part way into reintegrating with the Imperium of man by the Ecclisherary.

Of note on this planet is three things.

first is its very anti-chaos... with firm establishments agaisnt witch's and cults...

second it seems to be populated by scores of genetically enginered mice that are fairly intelligent.. since they are geneticaly enginered and not mutants or aliens the imperium has left them alone for hte itme being, since they seem to co-exist with the humans on the planet effortlessly

finally a quaint religious custom about each generation having five individuals selcted to be trained as 'guardians of the planet' appointed by the 'Lions of terra' (Ecclihserary busy adjusting this to LIon of terra= Emperor of mankind).

Well shortly after hte INquistor arrives for his investigation a massive Chaos Fleet lands as well... with a decent sized number of titan sized Daemons. Imperial guard arrives and hte fight is on... while the five 'guardians' insist they need to make it to the 'holy palace' to help defend hte planet.

eventually they are allowed to do so in order ot help improve civilian morale... and promptly vanish shortly there after a loud lions roar is heard over the battlefield as five mechanical lions enter the fray...

In case you haven't figured it out... the name of hte planet recently rediscovered? Arus.

thats right I'm introducing the idea of a Voltron/WH40k x-over.

Lion Voltron- very powerful.. keep in mind not only robeasts, but hte Lions have been seen taking on whole FLEETS of enemy spaceships.

Voltron itself is even stronger.. more importantly several of its weapons are powerful anti-daemon weapons

The INquistor listened intently over the vox chatter of the 'guardians' after htey had combined and were taking on the corrupted titan sized Daemons...

"Form Blazing sword!" Cried out of his vox set as the giant Arus titan slammed its hands together, before seperating and materilizing a giant blade. As the Blade materilizaed teh hordes of Chaos seemd to pause and the Inquistors own Psyker cried out in terror.

"What is it?!!" The inquistor cried out...

"The Warp...... "

"That blade is a warp monstrostity???!!"

"No... the Warp... it flees int error of it.... "
In other words the Blazing sword is kind of a 'anti-warp' weapon... hence why it was so effective agaisnt Ro-beasts (Which were partilally warp creations)... the energy of the Blazing sword is more attuned against Warp energy...

As to the Voltron linkup? why would the enemies of the Imperium let the Lions form up? Well you remember that field of electricty around the lions when they link up to form Voltron?

(if you don't http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uS5b8aQ6z8&feature=related the 2nd half of htis video shows it pretty clearly)

I'm hypothesizing that its a strong forcefield preventing enemies from stopping the link up.

As to VOltron itself.. as a powerufl weapon mainly designed to face off against Chaos monstrocities like the Robeasts, its heavily warded against Warp influence. as are the lions....

this of course makes VOltron and its pilots very interesting to the Ordos Malleus... And thats not even getting into the discovery that the 'holy castle' (Castle Arus) is also space capable (Adeptus MEchanius claiming it, since the INquisiton already claimed Lion Voltron for htemselves)

and keep in mind Vehicle Voltron and I suppose Gladiator voltron if you want to be picky is still out there, so the story could also cover a race between the Imperium, Eldar, Chaos forces, and possibly the Tau and Necrons... to find and posses the otehr two voltrons. (Vehicle voltron in particular might be a juicy prize.. since there is a decent chance you could also snag the supporting Space fleet that shuttled it around. I don't know enough about Gladiator Voltron to say what might come with it.)

And yes the Chaos incursion was an attempt to deny the iMperium Lion Voltron...
thoughts?

The Warp "fleeing from" the Blazing Sword points squarely in the direction of the Necrons.

This is likely all a great plot spun by The Deceiver.

possibly.. or perhaps it could be something else entirely... the universe is a big place afterall... even if Lion Voltron has been to the end of it and back

2. complete Crack idea...some Ork boss stumbles across a anceint Human dvd collection of Voltron, which for whatever reason he decides to watch.... and seeing Voltron declared the 'mightest robot ever'

"No way no hummies can beat the Orc's... we'z better than puny humies... Boyz! You proove we'z better by building orkier machine!"

THe mechboyz of course listen tot he boss

Thus was born the Legend of ORC-TRON! Defender of the Waarrgh!

Not sure where it would go from here.. but might be amusing...

That does sound pretty Orky. And their Gargants are pretty cobbled-together in appearance...

I"m half tempted ot post the bunny to spacebattles for giggles.. if only someone could come up with a suitably Orcish parody of Voltron's intro:

From days of long ago,
from uncharted regions of the universe,
comes a legend.
The legend of Voltron: Defender of the Universe!
A mighty robot. Loved by good, feared by evil.
As Voltron's legend grew, peace settled across the galaxy. On planet Earth, a galaxy alliance was formed. Together with the good planets of the solar system, they maintained peace throughout the universe.

Until a new horrible menace threatened the galaxy.
Voltron was needed once more.
This is the story of the super force of space explorers.
Specially trained and sent by the Alliance to bring back

Voltron: Defender of the Universe.

3. Well... I kin dof blame hte above ideas for this.

Lets open with a Adeptus Mechanius site that either is intercepting OLD Terra TV waves for information or has a old pre-warp colelciton of Earth TV's... this is important as said site is overrun by a Orc Waargh... in hte middle of said Waargh a group of Orks infiltrate the site and hten get caught in a explosion... one surivives buried alive near a Titan hanger.... also suffering a major head room... As said orc lays there dazed... a nearby moniter is accidentaly acitvated playing a old recording....that starts off:

Living here in NEw Jersey... fighting villians from afar...
Well when said Ork finally gets free from his prision and his head wound he has watched several repeats of the Megas XLR season... this owuld be bad enough.. but due to his head wound said Ork is veyr confused about who he is... os decides that this Coop seems Orky... os he must be Coop..

and of course having emerged in a Titan chamber.... there is Megas all ready to be upgraded....

but wait I have more... not sure who Coop!Ork should consider to eb Jamie (Random Gretchin? some Imperial human slacker?)...

eventually a Female Eldar is sent by a Farseer to Ork!Coop... naturaly 'Coop' calls said Eldar 'Kiva'. Ironically one of the few who can influence Ork!Coop in any manner.

(Kiva wondering if she is being punished.. until she see MEgas in action and then
notes the 'destroy the universe' button... and decides one of her main tasks is to make sure 'coop' DOES NOT PRESS THAT BUTTON!)

Well once Coop starts hanging with Eldar 'Kiva', his Waarggh boss is going ot complain about him not being Orky enough.. even if he has Megas... at least until Megas Crush's said warboss and 'Coop' becomes the leader of hte WAARRRGGGHH... his quest? To find NEw Jersey and head 'home'....

thoughts?

That gives me the image of Coop pulling alongside a Space Marine Battle Barge for a Drag Race. Preferably including an Inquisitor tagging along.

3. my mind is on a 80's kick at the moment... so my thoughts somehow travelled downt he path 'How can I x-over Thundercats/WH40K' (My mind is a very scary place ) Cartoon Continuity BTW since thats what i know.

Well I thought it over.... and then considered the Astral plane of Thundercats and the treasures of Thundera... THe way I see it the Astral plane works as a sort of Filter/semi permiable barrier to teh Warp in the Thundarian sector of space. Thick enough that you can't even drop out of Warp while in that sector... (Hence why the various space faring races of thundercats don't use warp drive... they can't.) In other words one can travel through warp all the way through the sector, but not emerge into the sector itself.

I figure way back when some ancient race created the Thunderian artifacts as a defense against the Enslavers...

Now there are a few trickles and the filter has to be reset periodically... hence why Mumra was empowered as opposed to say a full chaos invasion...

THe series finale of Thundercats where Lion-o confronted Mum-ra inside the Book of Thundera? That was the ritual to reset the filiter.

But wait why would the Chaos powers have empowered Mum-ra to recreate Thundera and allow the Astral filter to be reset, instead of just letting it eventualy fade away? Well it also goes back to that final confrontation...

had the CHaos gods just let the Astral Filter fade away the Thunderian sector of the galaxy would be no different than any other sector of WH40k space (outside of interesting FTL technology)....

HAd Mum-ra defeated Lion-o in the book of Thundera on the other hand, then he could have reversed the Filter, creating a SECOND Eye of terror for Chaos to take advantage of... definitly a prize worth gambling the renewal of the astral plane filter.

Of course Mum-ra lost and was banished back to the warp while the filter was reset.. and the Thunderian empire has kept the Filter more or less constant so that the forces of Chaos can't do much directly in this sector of space... or corrupt those who weild magic or psychic abilities, since the Astral plane acts as a barricade to the corruptive powers of Chaos. (On the other hand some who seek more power can bypass the filter somewhat like Mum-ra did... but there are limitations that I haven't worked out yet...)

lets see you'd still have Jaguara helping guard and guide new Thundera since cannonically she is immortal... As to cannon Thundercat charcters.. not physically around, but htere spirits may be present in the astral plane, helping the filiter (and fighting off Slaanish Daemons.. Slaan hungry for the souls that fill the Astral plane?)

Humans in the Thundera sector- originated from one of Earths original generational ships. Missed out on the Dark Age of technology and such since Warp capable vessels aren't able to enter Thunderian sector except by the long way. On the other hand they have developed a handful of technology that is unique. Non-warp FTL, AI's unaffected by the Iron Man rebellion, forcefields to allow unsuited individuals to survive in the vaccum of space ....

(Thunderians genetically altered humans that replaced the old caretakers of Thundera when they were dieing out?)

Of course the flip side is that nay magic user/psyker that leaves The Thunderian sector is incredibly vulnerable to corruption by Chaos... they are so used to the Astral plane filter that few have any natural resistence to the call of the Warp...

POwers that be in thunderian sector or are aware of Thunderian sector beyond 'here's a large chunk of space our ships can't enter'

Orks- eventually a Ork Warrgh dropped out of warp entered teh Thunderian sector, found they couldn't re enter warp and just drifted alone till they hit some habitable planet. Said Orks have adapted and aside from using non-warp FTL continue to Waargh into Thunderian space. thus they have a presence on the boundaries of this sector (Most other wh40k powers assume the sector is Ork held entirely...) and raid the other powers

Thunderian Empire- Strongest power in the sector... has limited knowledge of other WH40K powers due to exploration ships.. but their elite units actually suffer when taken away from the Astral plane buffer, as the Warp has unpredictable effects on their 'special' abilities (And heaven help a thundercat who is also psychic!) So are very reluctant to expand beyond the sector... besides they have hte Orks, space pirates, and Mutant empire to deal with. Mainly populated by Thunderians, Snarfs, and several HUman planets

Galactic police- THe main Human power in the sector.. employs the 'evil chasers' as its forces... allied with Thunderian Empire, however there claims that Third Earth is part of there territory causes strain between the two.

Mutant Empire- If it isn't the Ork's, its these guys causing trouble. Ironically elite units of the Mutant empire tend to get stronger when they leave the Thunderian sector, but have a distressing tendency to go AWOL (Read CHaos powers guide them to other targets int he galaxy for htere own purposes) if left outside of the sector for to long. Inside the Sector the Mutant Empire is in decline, but still a formidable foe.. controlling a significant chunk of the sector.

Necrons- as the only WH40k power that doesn't use the Warp for FTL... the Necrons can enter Thunderian sector at will.... on the other hand more used to non-warp FTL, the Thunderian powers are better able to detect the NEcron ships coming and prepare for the assault. As result the powers in the Thunderian sector (well perhaps not hte Orks) are aware of the NEcron existence and have semi-regular space battles with them.

To date no Necron has attempted to Attack New Thundera... although that is more likely because New Thundera is the key to the Astral plane buffer from the warp, than for lack of ability to strike there.

Necron forces are busy trying to contain Thudnerian forces from contacting Tau, Imperial, or Eldar in order to prevent the further spread of non warp FTL tech.

Tyranids- haven't reached the Thunderian sector

Eldar/Dark Eldar- have little to no knowledge of the Thudnerian sector ebyond the fact that they were never able to use the warp ways to enter this portion of the galaxy. Always seemed to have something else more important to do than explore this strange anomoly (Which may or may not have been through Tzzinith manipulations.)

Tau- completely unaware of the existence of a area of space where Warp penetration is impossible, much less anything exists in there.

Imperium- mostly unaware of the sector. Possibly some Adeptus mechanius records remain of the generational ship that vanished into the sector, and a handful of Inquistion reports on strange spaceships near said sector (Fleeting glimpse of exploratory ships by the Thunderian empire, Galactic police, and possibly occasional Ork waargh that went astray). Incidentally Thunderian Sector humans, who have been cut off from the Imperium since before Humanity even discovered Warp drive, consider Imperial Humanity to be Batshit crazy as a whole.

It is POSSIBLE that the Emperor of Mankind might have met Jagurara once or twice and/or be aware of the Astral realm... but since he's stuck on the golden throne uncommunicative its a moot point.

Chaos- well aware of this sector of space and constantly plotting to destroy the Astral realm that protects it... Last big effort was the Mum-ra debacle where the big four chaos gods Had won, but then blew it all in a attempt to create a second Eye of terror. now there ready for another big push.. but the mutant Empire is nowhere near strong enough as it was in the past when they destroyed Thundera... Slaaneesh in particular wants to destroy the Astral plane which is just full of juciy souls for him to claim.

individuals

Lion-o and the Thundercats- Now spirits in the Astral plane... if a author wants to use them they are either spirtual guides, or the scenes/battles take place on the Astral plane.

Jagurara- still around guarding the Gyroscope of Thundera and helping keep the Lord of the Thundercats noble and grounded....

Mum-ra- just getting off from his 'punishment' by the chaos gods for his great failure and 'destruction'. not sure if Mum-ra is a Daemon now, or still maintains his full body... plotting and scheming again... may try to infiltrate third earth once more... or perhaps head to the Eye of terror to check out ABaddon the Despoiler (Keeping in mind that away from the Astral filter Mum-ra is much stronger than before)

Hachiman- not sure if he hsould be dead and gone or not... in cannon thundercats he DID battle the 'ancient spirits of evil' for a time... which in this idea were avatars of the chaos gods.... granted said avatars would be greatly weakened by the Astral plane filter... but still such a battle might change a person....

Mind if I put one up?

Deep inside the Administratum on Holy Terra, there is a locked room where only the God-Emperor himself may go. Inside this room, there are racks of uniforms, and a cryotube.

These uniforms are plain, but servicable, consisting of black turtleneck jumpers and wool trousers, and knee-high boots and vests, each of them a unique colour: Blue, Green, White, and so on. On hooks above them are kepis with glass visors, each one colour coded to the uniforms.

Inside the cryotube, is a handsome young man, aged in his early 30's or there abouts. He wears the same uniform as the others, but his is bright red. And unlike the others, the symbol on the kepi has not faded over the millenia.

A circle, with a stylised "S" on concentric rings of colour.

The plate on the side of the side of the control panel reads, in old English:

PAUL METCALFE

CODENAME: CAPTAIN SCARLET

4. For some reaosn I've been pondering about Discworld and WH40k. Don't worry I'm not advocating a full cross... that would be ridiculious... but I did think of a few charcters.

Namely the Lady, Fate, and Death (and of course hte fifth horseman) and wodnering if they could be inserted into a WH40k story by themselves.

THe way I figure it, it is possible if some assumptions are made.

One The warp? A dungeon dimesion that got close enough to reality to start existing... hence Daemons and Chaos gods? a fusion of Dungeon Dimesion entites and Small gods...

now this is important because since that is what I Theorize the warp is. THan The Lady, Fate, Death, and the other horseman are TECHNICALLY superior to the chaos gods. (However due to universal rules they aren't able to intereact in the real world directly often.. and even than its not always a guarentee that said interaction would be opposed to the Warp... Death doesn't collect or direct souls he jsut liberates them from the body and sends them on their way... )

Of course that doesn't make them powerless just limited in how they interact... The Lady could say champion some Imperial guardsman, while Fate trys to elminate the Ladies Pawn... You oculd have Death stopping by for a cup of Curry with Nurgle or the Emperor...

lord knows what sort of mischief the Auditors might get up to (Although I suspect they may generally support the Necrons and there attempt to seal away teh Warp.)

very rough idea... definitaly a difficult one ot pull off.. but potentially amusing.

4a. a couple of amusing thoughts... what would the effects of Klatchian coffe be on a chaos marine or Daemon? (For those sad few who don't read Pratchett... Klatchian coffee is so powerufl not only does it sober you up instantnly.. but drink to much of it and takes you to the other end of sobreirity intoa state of mind known as KNurd...)

Also would the Black Library be accessible to L-space? and if so how often does the Eldar there get beaten up byt he Librarian (Think about what the Eldar call humans)

5. ON a more serious note... has anyone ever x-overed WH40k with Simon Green's Deathstalker series?

This could be rather interesting if done right though the only I can see the powers of the WH40K not getting shafted is if the Deathstalkerverse is in another universe (which is quite possible in the Deathstalker novels) given the madness maze.

It'd be rather interesting to see what Owen might do if he ended up somewhere in the IoM somehow. Perhaps instead of going back through time he instead decides to go sideways through various dimensions.

I dunno.. I kindof picture the Madness Maze (Keep in mind I've only read up to Deathstalkers HOnor.. due to my lack of luck of finding the enxt one in the series) as an device that attempts to create a equivlent of the God emperor of mankind... in power level.

Keeping in mind that it takes time for the survivors of the maze to grow in power. The hardest thing would be explaining why the Chaos powers haven't intervened in the Deathstalker timeline... although I suppose one could make some theories about the Darkvoid device and how its activation may have set that part of the galaxy out of synch with the Immaterium (and possibly the materium universe timewise) for a while...

Which might explain the Void Ghosts showing up as various souls warning about the Warp reconnecting with the universe.

From what I know of Owen, especially by Deathstalker Coda, he'd be appalled at the Imperium. If he were to show up around the time of the Emperor, he might agree with his goals. I imagine he'd disagres with the blessed Emperor's methods.

What might be more fun is to have him find the Primarch's Corax, Vulkan, and Leman, as they all seem to be lost somewhere in the webway, and escort them back to the Modern Imperium. it could prove interesting to see what three Primarchs, Owen and the love of his life do to save humanity from itself.

One of the major problems that I see with having the Deathstalker taking place in the same universe as Warhammer is that the madness maze offers simply to much of a game-breaker to whoever can get too it first. To give a example to those of you who haven't read the novels, even if the Imperium(40k) had every Space Marine it has including the Grey Knights go through the Maze and only two percent of that entire number ended up manging to survive the experience, the pay off would still be more the worth it.

As for the second major problem, well...

**Spoilers**

The baby Deathstalker or as he's more actively known as the Darkvoid Device. To give you an idea of his power after being taken through the Maze by his father the year old baby was capable of killing over a thousand stars at the SAME moment with about as much trouble as it might take you to blink becouse it was what his dad wanted. There's also all those really angry ghosts who died when their stars did wondering around, though I guess they can be explained way as being too busy snacking on any Daemons that are foolish to come near the Deathstalker!Imperium to go off wondering through the rest of the galaxy.

**End Spoilers

If anything somebody whose gone through the Madness Maze would be potentially more powerful then the GEoM. The only real limits to somebody who's gone through the Maze seems to be that it is incredibly hard to consciously comprehend that you're near omnipotent and that what limits you have are the ones you believe that you have. Which is why the younger a person is that goes through the Maze, the stronger they appear to be.

Poor Jaghatai forgotten about as always.. :p Anyhow Corax is quite probably dead given that his trip into the Eye of Terror seems to be more of a suicide mission then anything else.

But yeah Owen quite probably would have some words to say about how the Emperor has done things. On the other hand he doesn't really have any room to talk and Owen has proven himself capable of choking back the bile, gritting his teeth, and keeping his mouth shut a few rare times, so he might mange to keep from saying anything.

I'd almost feel sorry for Chaos if Hazel comes along simply becouse it means if the Emperor lets them at some point they'd be capable of using the Astronomican as the universes largest icepicks to lobotomize the Chaos Gods.

Mmm. Than how about trying htis on for size Abyssal?

Tzeentch enacted a scheme milleinia ago to isolate the sector that the Deathstalker verse takes place in because of the threat the Madness maze potentially could provide to the Warp powers....

Yet left a small conduit in to moniter the sector (Which a HUman generational ship stumbled across, hence explaining Humanities presence there...)

With the Destruction of the Maze in the first book, The Warp gods bean the process of unsealing the sector (and the numerous souls present there), which provides oppurtunity to insert the Death stalker verse at any point after the destruction of the Madness maze to the WH40K universe.

But what of the Madness Maze survivors? Well there are only a handful to focus on and scheme around... Plus the Chaos powers are much stronger since the creation of Slaanesh... so Tzeentch may judge it a calculated risk (or may view Owen as a entity of equal power to have fun schemeing against...).

Might even be a scheme to throw a powerful wild card at the C'tan and Necrons. (hmm now there's a thought the Madness maze was designed to crate a mortal entity that would be eventually able to go toe-to-toe with the C'tan... the fact that such a being would be a threat to the Warp Gods is just a unexpected side effect... woudl also explain why the warp gods were unable to affect the madness maze throught he immaterium.. its power is based on the materium...)

It would be interesting how the various races of both universes will react to each other...

The only major changes that'd I can think of that I would make is that it was the creators of Maze that were responsible for hiding the Deathstalker 'verse from the rest of galaxy (probably is located in the eastern fringe near the halo) as it would fit given that they've been attempting to speed up humanities among other races evolution in order to face what they called a extra-galactic lovecraftian being that they called the Terror...

And move things up to around the Deathstalker Destiny where instead of Owen being forced to go through time too drive the Recreated on a wild goose chases, the Deathstalker 'verse is reconnected to the rest of the galaxy throwing the Recreated into Warp (and what fun will that be, for both sides). That way the Deathstalker groups will have a chance of surviving the coming storm.

As for Owen while incredibly powerful I can't really see any of the major powers considering him a threat... at first anyhow. He tends to enjoy pretending to still be human to much to actully use his powers to any real existent unless his friends are in trouble. No the real players from the Deathstalker side would probably be the baby deathstalker who is not only awake but has absorbed some of Owen's sense of duty and compassion, the Madness Maze which was revealed to be self-aware as well as capable of recreating itself after being destroyed, and its' creators who apparently where not only around when humanity crawled out of the oceans but are still around and trying to force humanity to evolve to its' 'final' level of existence which is what the survivors of the Madness Maze represent.

A few other thoughts occur to me. Keep in mind I've only read up to Deathstalkers honor (As the Destiny novel continues to elude me...)

-IN Deathstalkers War, we learn that the new FTL drive, derived from alien metal trees of all things, when assembled and in near proximity causes massive mutation in the assembly workers. Could this mean that he enw FTL drive = Warp drive of some sort?

If so this means two things. The new FTL drive, and the AI's of Shub use of it for their fleet, is starting to open up the area of Deathstalkers verse to the Immaterium's notice a lot more... which perhaps weakens its sepration from the rest of the WH40kverse... and as more of these drives are used, the barrier crumbles more.

The 2nd thing tho may be of more importance... if the New FTL is the first Warp Drive... than that means there old FTL drives were NOT the types that enter the Immaterium. Although the old style FTL drives are signficantly slower than the new Warp drives.... this means that the humans of the Deathstalker verse have a FTL method that is unaffected by warp shadows and most warp storms (If a warp storm is bad enough to pierce into the materium, than it doesn't really matter).

This sort of tech would be of great interest to the Tau or Imperium. (The other races ELdar and Dark Eldar prefer there Warp travels and could care less, Orks... well there Orks. Necrons would be interested in surpressing this tech by any means neccessary as it produces complications with there long term plans.)

- MAter Mundi... Trapped warp entity perhaps? is probably pretty powerful since she draws upon the psykers if the deathstaker verse without other warp entities getting involved or the chaos gods for that matter.... which begs the question how she will react as the deathstalker sector starts to realign with the rest of the WH40kverse and the chaos powers start to take note.

-We know they have a variation of the Catholic church in the Deathstalker verse, thus all humans there must originate from early generational space ships. predating the end of the dark age of technology.

-Weaponry wise really only the A.I.s of Shub, and the Haldemen would be ready to stand up toe to toe with other WH40K powers. Energy weapons of the HUmans of the Deathstalker-verse are woefully inferior to WH40k powers.. with fairly long recharge time. Although there energy shields MIGHT be slightly superior in stopping physical attacks before they overload.

-Space ship wise the Deathstalker verse may have a slight advantage int hat they can build there fleets relativly quicker than the Imperium....

-Haldemen and the Adeptus Mechanius... will either be tight allies (The Haldemens 'crusade' mesh's nearly completely with the Adeptus mechanius religious doctrine of becoming one with the Omnissah) or a shoot to kill the abomination type of enemies... there really is no middle ground...

-Grendal... anti-necron monster? (which begs the question what will teh AI's of Shub do with there Grendal army?)

6. a strange crack idea that occured to me while I'm working my way through Blood for the blood god...

what if htere were a series of one shot/short fics based around the concept of a Psychatrist for the various powers of the warp.... heavy crack obviously.. but hte idea of Khorne or Nurgle talking to a traditional psychitrist on a couch amuses me.... or Slaanesh talking ot a Oprah/Dr.Phil style psychotherepisit about

Ideally the one shot would include multiple sessions with occasional 'breakthroughs' (Slaanessh: ITs true! I devour Eldar souls because i just want to be loved by my parents *Sob!* why won't they care for me???? )

or assigning medication... with cut scene s to the INquisiton wondering WTF is up with various chaos cults acitng so weird.

Like the psychiatrist assigning medical marijuna to Khorne to help curb his violent rage.... cutting to a inquisition report about the chaos cult invasion of the Agri world Cannibis.... and the Khorne's berserkers new battle cry "MUNCHIES FOR THE STONED GOD!"

Or what sort of craziness happens when nurgle gets prescribed powerful anti-depressents...

Not quite sure how Tzeentch's session would go...

oh and lets not forget the Eldar Laughing god, the GEoM (I see so you are the "GOD" of HUmanity... tell me what first made you realize you were in such a powerful position?), and Mork and Gork.....

Sometimes I dream up strange things.

Had a stupid idea.

In the 42th millenium, the proud empire of Man knows nothing but war, facing the ever growing threat of the fool Xeno, the nameless horrors and abominations of the warp and the host of heretic and traitor with the flimsy hope that one day, the God-Emperor would come back bringing a new Golden Age.

This last hope died.

Or at least, it seemed so.

Even in death, the warm and powerful presence of the God-Emperor remains with his subject, even stronger than before.

Who is this strange man with the green stripped bucket-hat hanging near the Imperial palace?

How the hell a cat could enter the Throne room without being noticed by the custodes?

What if upon dying the GEoM became a Shinigami of unfathomable power? (making Captain commander Yamamoto's power look as weak as Don Kanonji)

7. The Empress of Mankind.... (Knowledge of Weber's Novel 'In Fury Born' or 'Path of the Fury' necessary)

Stilla rough bunny with things I may add or delete as it occurs to me.. but over at Spacebattles I raised the question of comparing Alicia, Tisiphone, and MEgaira to a Daemon possesed Human.. (Its in the VS section if yor curious)... And someone commented that Tisiphone may have made Alica immortal, and that her supernatural skills would likely increase in time. which got me thinking....

What if the HUman Empire of Weber's Fury-verse was set in the early parts of the Dark Age of Technology...

This would indicate that Tisiphone was a Daemon of some sort... so my thoughts is that the greek gods were HUman created Warp Gods (SImilarly to the Eldar Pantheon), that over time faded away or more likely were killed and absorbed by one of the three Ruinious powers (Slaaneesh isn't born yet)....

Yet the ruinious POwers missed the trio of Daemons that hte Greek warp gods created as their furies... most likely because the three were in stasis at the time... over the centuries two of the three Faded away into the Warp until only Tisiphone remained.... to hear the call through the immaterium of Alicia crying for vengence

Cue events of 'path of the Fury'...

Afterwards we have Alicia, The AI Megaira, and Tisiphone bonded together. ANd int his concept immortal, with Tisiphone's warp abilities growing as time passes with experience and just time awake (Possibly why the greek gods kept the furies in stasis in between missions for them.. to prevent them from growing in power).

Technically Alicia is Daemon possesed, however in this case its unique as Tisiphone is a daemon that has NOTHING to do with the Ruinious powers... indeed since Tisiphone is the creation of a HUMAN created Warp god, she'd side iwth humanity against hte RUinious powers, even if she weren't bonded to Alicia...

For that matter Alicia is immune to Chaos possession since technically she is already possesed... and that doesn't even go into what Megaira brings to the table.

Of course such a immortal Human, with warp powers would attract the attention of another major immortal psychic... namely the man who will in the future be the GEoM. WHo would view ALicia, TIsiphone, and Megira trinity as perhaps a peer of his...

Not a equal, but someone who is in the relativly same class. And even better Alicia is HUman, her Daemon Tisiphone is HUman aligned and created, and Megira is HUman built. A peer of the same species....

I see over hte millenia of the age of technology, ALicia and the GEoM run into each other.. maybe spend a century or week or whatever strikes there fancy together.. before seperating sometimes quietly, sometimes violently (Hey they're immortal...)

Meanwhile as the Millenia pass, Megaira is constantly updating herself with new tech to keep being cutting edge, and of course creating a base to repair herself. (Hmm should it be mobile.. or a stagnant... mmm I'm leaning towards a mobile asteroid.)

CUt to near the end of the Age of technology when the Iron Man rebellion is in full swing and being a AI is NOT healthy... GEoM gets word of the Virus to destroy all the Iron Men, and passes it along to ALicia for fear of what it might do to Megaira (And Alicia by proxy).

So Alicia, Megaira, and Tisiphone head beyond hte limits of the imperium with there support base to avoid the plague which ends the Iron man rebellion...(hmm should Megaira's support base be staffed by non rebelling Iron men?)

OF course before she can return the Eldar Empire implodes...Slanneesh is born... starting the Age of strife and makeing Warp travel increidbly difficult... and for the time being stranding ALicia on the far edges of the galaxy (not sure which sector tho...)

During the Grand Crusade.. GEoM is heard saying that part of his crusade's purpose is to find his 'empress'... Which after the Horus Heresy and the rise of the Ecchlisercy results in a small cult/faction of the Ecchilscery (And possibly inquisiont) that believe the chosne wife of the Emperor is out there and if htey can find her and reunite her, the Emperor will rise from the Golden throne to rule again..

(Keep in mind that this myth is altered and romanticised as much as the GEoM and his beliefs are in the Ecchilserchy... so the truth could be any fraction of this..)

Alicia rediscovers the Imperium mid 36-39 millinieium. Does not care for the Imperium as she discovers it... spends time on the borders of the Imperium pondering her next move... occasionaly helping out various worlds and Fleets....

39th-41 millenia- Learns of the GEoM and the Golden throne.... eventually... and begins a long journey through the Imperium to take a look at what she can do for the GEoM. Which would probably be the setting for a story if anyone wrote it.

Whether she can fully heal the GEoM with Tisiphone's powers (grown and honed over countless millenia) or not is debatable.. however she certainlycan, thanks to Megaira and her support base (I think I will make it mobile), repair the Golden throne... If she can get to it...

Unfortunatly there would be numerous things standing in her way... CHaos, Xeno, AND Imperial... which provides the conflict.

A few Random thoughts.

-We know the Primarchs were created from the Emperor's DNA... however could he have used Alicia's DNA as well in creating the Primarchs (As the 2nd most powerful HUman, imperial cadre at that...) ... which would make ALicia there 'Mother' (And BOY will she be unhappy if she finds out about this... 30+ millenia after the fact....)

-Which leads to the possibility that one or more of hte missing Primarchs may be with her on her return trip through the imperium (note this won't signifcantly dent the Imperial forces trying to stop her from reaching terra and the Golden throne... enough factions could easily justify 'Chaos must of corrupted the primarch.. weep for him and kill him!' and still oppose her)

Lets see there are 6 possible Primarchs to run into Alicia and attempt to guide her back to the GEoM:

1. Vulkan
2. Corx (Least likely... but leads to some interesting possibilities charcter wise)
3. Lemen Russ (Highly likely... especially if ALicia, Tisiphone, and Megaira and hte powers and Lost knowledge they hold are the 'tree of life' he is searching for... at the very elast they can stabilize the Emperor)

4. Jaghatai Khan

5-6. The two 'missing' Primarch's could be considered as well.. especially if they landed on Matriarchal worlds and decided that they had to seek out there 'mother' to serve over there 'father' the GEoM....(Abandoning him for ALicia would explain why they are not mentioned... yet not considered 'Traitors' akint o CHaos marines.)

I'll have to think a bit more on this and may post more this afternoon after I wake up... in the meantime.. Thoughts?
