Missing Mask

Okay, was planning to try and work out a story idea for a Ranma/Star Wars cross, but had a question:

Does anyone know what happened to the mask of Mandalore the Ultimate, that Revan gave Ordo. I know he used it, but I cannot find any information if it continued on for future leaders of the clan or disappeared.

Also, would it fit Revan's character to have given Ordo a fake mask, in case in his planned return, he found the Mandalorians to be not to his liking?

He wouldn't have given a fake mask, that's not something he'd probably consider.

He gave Canderous the mask to stabilize the Mandalorians behind someone who wouldn't restart the Mandalorian Wars.

He may have returned to reclaim it if it ended up in the hands of someone he didn't believe should have it, or it could be that Mandalore led his forces to reinforce Revan on his mission.

The way I understand it, Mandalore's Mask is something every Mandalore wears. In fact, they need it to be accepted by their people as leader and rightful Mandalore. Without the mask, their claim to the position of Mandalore is not considered legitimate by most Mandalorians.

Considering that there have been Mandalores after Ordo, I'd say the mask was simply inherited by each successor.

Also, Canderous incorporated Mandalore's Mask into his <a href='http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Canderous_Ordo#Mandalore_the_Preserver' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>armour</a>.

I think I saw some article on Wookieepedia that said that the tradition of passing down the Madalore Mask was discontinued at some point because of the risk of it being lost or ending in the hand of enemies, like it happened with Revan. I don't remember it giving a precise date tough.
