I skimmed through most of the Troll arc, and I don't feel like I missed much. That said, the Trolls become somewhat more bearable when you <a href='https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/leet-key/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>strip out the leet</a> and annoying capitalization, and use a bookmarklet or highlight to get rid of the font coloring. That I had quite a bit of difficulty differentiating most of the Trolls after doing so says something about their characterizations, I think.
It's script format you fucking idiot. What the hell did you think was going to happen after you stripped out the color? Never mind the fucking quirks.
And as for skimming...
I'm actually not going to bust your balls about skimming material. No point in it since you're going to hell for doing so.

Um, Vex, you're like, obsessed with it and all, but I want you to think really carefully about what you just said there. Like:
I dunno, retain their individuality identifiable with their UniID, and not require colored texts to differentiate among them?
Otherwise, you're kinda saying that other script formats, if they don't use colors, will have the same 'feature'. And that's just...not right dude.

Neither text colors, nor quirks are requisite to differentiate between the characters. They have their own individual personalities. HOWEVER part of the purpose of the quirks is to inform the reader as to a character's personality. An easy example being Karkat with his ALL CAPS TYPING.
Removing the quirks is just fucking dumb.
However removing the colors and complaining that you have a hard time differentiating between the characters is far, far removed from dumb. This is getting into the realm of magical stupidity.
The different characters don't type in different colors because RAINBOWS ARE MAGICAL. They do it for the sake of easy differentiation. And given this format it's essentially the ONLY thing that easily differentiates between the various characters.
Stripping out the colors and expecting to be able to tell what's going on is the equivalent of taking a book and removing any and all variations of "said NAME" from it. Or a movie or television show where every character is played by and voiced by the same actor.
