A simple little thread, since Naruto seems to be getting closer to the end I thought it might be fun for us to start posting about old naruto fanfics from the early years.

Doesn't necessarily have to be Grade A fanfic from the past, just nostalgic fanfiction that makes you remember what got you into the series.

Pretty sure Never Cut Twice was the first completed Naruto fanfic I read.

Fosfor's Fateless and Fateless Vs Canon, Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, Art of The Deal, Reload, Crimson Edge (which are is sort of semi-permanent Hiatus as Fosfor hasn't published anything on them for a good while).

a crappy but i liked it anyways fanfic called Naruto Reborn: Sasuke Uchiha where Naruto hijacks an alternate chibi!Sasuke's body at the behest of his Sasuke and 'fate', i liked it.

Spying no Jutsu was awesome and many, many more.

The Mating Season and The Mating Frenzy were some of my first humor/crack fics and while the latter isn't the best story, I do remember enjoying it and the fan comics drawn for it.

Tell me guys, gals, and beings of questionable gender, what was the first Naruto Harem fic you've read? Either true harem or harem comedy.

I don't remember the name of mine but I do remember that it was at least well written enough to not have all the girls in it as ooc sluts(I vaguely remember them actually leaving Naruto after he starts pushing them away while becoming more and more focused on stopping the Big Bad).

The Golden Fox (though to be fair, I never finished it, got boring after 4/5ths).
And Knight503, out of that list, I liked these ones the most: Medical Lullaby, Lost Soul, Legacy of the Rasengan (only first part) ANBU brat and Twenty Times Naruto Didn't Die.

I know which one you're talking about as well. It has a scene in it where, after the girls leave him, they spy on him training, and Naruto's kicking a tree so hard it splits his leg.

Teamwork was actually the first fanfic (of any sort) that I ever read. Found a link to Foxhound in the comments on one of Asuka's LJ updates for it, and in the comments on Kraken's LJ there was a link to drakensis' Bleach fic about the King being Elvis...which was how I found out about TFF.

Yeah, you know this was forever ago because I mentioned Livejournal twice.

I'm not sure how I got into fanfics, but I'm reasonably sure that Foxhound was one of the first I read, along with Never Cut Twice and Second Best. Uzumaki Aircraft brought me to this forum, and even though I tried to needle Kraken into actually posting stuff, he only ever lurks.

Asuka Kureru's Teamwork was the first Naruto fanfic I can recall reading; for fanfics period, I believe it was a Ranma fic.

Dave-D's works were some of the stuff I read following Teamwork; but there have been so many fics since then... oi.
