We don't have enough info for the loops, yet. And we probably won't have enough until after the magic world arc is finished. Which probably won't be for another fifty or sixty chapters...
On the other hand, there's a lot of opportunities for loops during the Festival! Looping is pretty much canon there, so why don't you try and come up with a loop that we didn't see?

The first thing that popped into my mind was that during one of the girls' shenanigans, Negi accidently gets the Cassopeia "stuck." Like he falls when pushed or something and the little knobs on it jam, trapping him in a loop from when he fell to whatever time. If Chao and Hakase are already in hiding for their planning, he can't get it fixed quite that easily in the beginning, leaving some room for hilarity to ensue.
I've been thinking on one that has Negi looping back to the start of the manga, and playing with his class's heads, a bit. Remember, just after he was introduced, they were all over him? He gets them to back off by shouting "Hey, get your hand out of my pants!" (even though none of them went that far).
