A fitting end to Assuke, as well as enough to send Sakura into an endless spiral of madness which will end with her eventually snapping, kidnapping Sai, and forcing him to act like Sasuke in all ways possible.

The effort to take down the pyschotic medi-nin will see Tsunade crippled, Ero-sennin missing a leg, and Naruto going full 9-tails on her ass.

Honestly though, the world would be a better place.

Fuck, if I was Naruto, I'd simply straight up say. "I'll kill every last Uchiha on sight!" (Seeing as there are only Itachi, and Sasuke left, it's a good promise. Unless the rumors about the AL having Sharigan is true, but that doesn't really change the facts.)

That could actually earn him some brownie points with the Hyuuga if nothing else with the way the Uchiha turned out. I like the thought of Naruto bringing emo-boy back in pieces. I could see him giving Sakura his head, the Hokage his eyes, Ino and Shikamaru could have his ass (need something to kick for Chouji's sake), the Hyuuga could have his torso for a training dummy. The rest could be hung from the walls as an example of what is done to traitors.

ACtually she may not have been able to send those ANBU out. For all she knew sound was ready to attack again and if a sound spy had given her bad information she could have believed that Sauske was kidnapped or simply derranged.

She had NO idea what he was capable of since she was NOT at the Chunnin exams. Hell the council could have been pullling all the strings they could so a team that really couldn`t hurt there poster child be sent after him.

Danzou or whatever his name is being the one to orchestrste it...possibly to make it fail and discredit the Hokage for future use....However his little plan backfires when the information is let out by a nervous Anbu facing a pissed off Hiashi Hyuuga...

Hmm, yah, that would definitely put a much more serious spin on things and maybe, just MAYBE, get Naruto to pull his fucking head out of the clouds and realize that he needs to get on the ball and understand that Sasuke can not be saved, will not be saved, and does not want to be saved, and the only mercy that he should be granted now is a swift death. Also, I wonder how things would change if they had stated from the outset that this was an assassination mission?

Tsunade only knew that Sasuke ran away.She activated a few genin and Shikamaru .Naruto was sent since he was Sasukes teammate and knew how the guy thought. They were not expecting the ace Sound ninja that were helping Sasuke. Tsunade probobly figured if anything Shikamaru could hold the idiot still while the other 4 beat the living crap out of him...

Y'know, that makes perfect sense. Doesn't explain why nobody told Naruto that Sasuke wasn't kidnapped, but OTOH, we don't know how weak Sasuke's will is when compared to Anko's, or how much Oro-teme might have improved the curse-seal since Anko got hers, so they might have thought he was mind-controlled into leaving.

Council votes to banish Naruto onlky to have it blocked then defeated by Hiashi and the clans team 10 is part of. Danzopu finds himself more and more isolated from Hiashi and it gets worse when Inochi and company catch Sai delivering the information on Konohanas ANBU .

flash forward to Sasuke returning after escaping Oromichiru with information on his spies thinking he will get off scott free...
