Yeah.
I really like Ozz's work... but really, I think he just fell off his rocker somewhere in the midst of Tales of the FoxCat and A Time Apart.
I mean, he still has some good ideas... problem is, he's just too fixated on genderbending for them to grow and blossom -- it's all right in small doses, but it becomes creepy after a while. It's like he cannot write a normal story without altering someone's sex anymore. His "Knights of the True Gender" spiels did not help dissuade the notion that he's actually addicted to genderbending, like literary cocaine.

Meh... I like some stories by Ozzallos, dislike others... I fail to see why so many demonize him.
This is where I note that my favorite ContraBardus/Carrot story (sadly also a neglected one by him) does not to my knowledge have any SI I'm aware of... it is a extreme AU though... the Duke Nukem/Ranma story of his. Likely the most unusual Kasumi I've ever come across in fan fiction.

Ozz said a while ago he likes exploring what happens if you have the ability to change gender, what it would to to your view of gender identity and so on.
Something that the Ranma series ignored for slapstick.
I like a well written Ranma-chan story (the few that exist) and Ozz is one of the few writers that can do it.
Don't like? Don't read. Complaining because the author won't write only the stories you want isn't going to do anything.

Probably because he tried to masquerade his love of Ranma-chan as a deep psychological deconstruction of a guy turning into a girl. It sounds reasonable at first, but when you keep doing it over and over, it sounds less about psychology and more like guilt-fest wankery.
Also, he has, in fact, pulled a couple of pages from Perfect_Lionheart's book and went way out of his way to piss off readers with at least one story. I think it was the one where Ranma was secretly a madame of a brothel, and roped Nabiki into handling its finances. Or maybe the basic La Blue Girl-esque story, Nodoka teaching Ranma her demon hunting family arts, which is basic sexcraft. And he must d it as a girl, otherwise it won't work. And then painted everyone that fussed about his portrayals of Ranma as character assassination "members" of a made up group based off the old Knights of the True FiancÚe and dubbed it "the Knights of the True Gender."
Basic arrogant poppycock that demonizes everyone that has even the slightest issues about his character portrayals.
I don't have issues with him per se, but that's not cool the way he goes about handling things. If he was like Dumbledork and just fessed up to him liking Ranma as girl stuff, it'd be cool. I don't think anyone would likely begrudge him much if they do. It's just from what I've seen, he's playing the victim role over the slightest fuss and denies anything about character assassination without good bloody reason as to why they are the way they are.
To point, Kushina's backstory came out fully, so, instead of deciding to continue or end his own Kushina=Ranma, he puts it in the hands of the "fans" to decide. Mind you, he would have a pretty good idea of how they'll vote, since he can simply just read the story stats and see the number of hits, views, and visitors that come in to read it. Coupled with their comments, it's basically holding out candy to a bunch of kids while pretending to wonder about giving them some.
It's hard to respect someone that can't own up to their likes without making it into a persona; vendetta.
Of course, the most bewildering thing that probably strikes people is that Ozz is actually a competent enough writer, and thus are confused as to what the hell is going on. It's a lot like Charlie Sheen. He's really popular, but lately, he has just lost his sanity or something because no one gets what's going on his head anymore.
