Yes this is a Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt/Evangelion Challenge

For this one I am sending out the Challenge of poor Shinji being the replacement for Brief. And having to deal the girls.

Also how would Nerv deal with the maddness.

I had an idea like this awhile back, but with a major difference.

Take the old cliche of Shinji being raised by someone else. Now have that person be Garterbelt. Shinji raised by Garterbelt with Panty and Stocking as older sister figures he loves and respects. Of course that is what they say, Shinji has a different opinion. Love yes, respect their power yes, respect them hell no.

Shinji would of course care about his adoptive "family" but when he gets to Tokyo 3 he would not be putting up with bullshit from anyone else. And when Panty and Stocking find out he's fighting things humans are labeling Angels well they really should visit their cute little brother/cooking slave shouldn't they? After all as his adoptive siblings it is their duty to make sure he is safe(and mooch off of him whenever possible). Of course Scanty and Kneesocks would follow them continuing in their efforts to destroy their rivals. Now imagine the rest of the Eva cast thrown into this chaos.

And Shinji seeing Garterbelt as father figure would lead to him learning Garterbelt's "Art". Bondage Priest Shinji is both incredibly wrong and unbelievably funny at the same time.

Honestly am I the only one who thinks it would be funny as hell to see Garterbelt kick Gendo's ass?

I freely admit that I lack the skill to write this story and would gladly let anyone who wants to write this story use the idea. In fact the idea that someone would write it makes me quite happy. So go ahead and write it, besides you Ero-Sennin are one of the few who could actually pull it off.

Now I am no longer so depressed thinking about the fact that we in America will never see Super Robot Wars Z II. I really needed a pick me up after seeing a PV for it.

Code Geass, Gundam OO and Macross Frontier, okay that will be cool. GURREN LAGANN IN SUPER ROBOT WARS!!!!!!! Head explodes from overexposure to awesomeness.

Is it wrong that I find that the thought of never getting to play what is pretty much guaranteed to be pure concentrated awesome incredibly depressing?

Looks at last post.

God I was tired last night. I really should not have watched the last six episodes of Super Robot wars Original Generation: The Inspector, looked around on youtube for music from the show, found and watched the Super Robot Wars ZII PV, and then spent about another hour on TFF when by all rights it would have been healthier for me to get a good nights sleep.

Here is something to go with my idea. Training under Garterbelt Shinji picks up a nickname. Shinji "Leatherbelt" Ikari meets Asuka. Improbable Weapon User Shinji using a Leather Belt as a whip would fit into this idea quite well. And Asuka's reaction to him beating up someone with a belt would be priceless. Note that I'm not saying that he should use it on her(unless she really pushes her luck) but her reaction to seeing something like this being her first introduction to the weirdness that is Shinji's life. For her it will all go downhill from there. For us it would be hilarious.

Though Garter doesn't use his namesake as a weapon, then again how could one aside from sling-shotting it at something, he just wears it.

As a normal human Shinji shouldn't be trying to fight Ghosts anyhow, if you had to give him something maybe have him be using a gun of some sort with a knife for a last ditch weapon.

Heck he could be a priest in training and have a blessed cross to ward off evil or something. Though I think a better nickname would be something like Boxer, Leather-belt would not really fit. Perhaps just Belt, the Anarchy sisters do call Garter, Garter for short at times. Having others get confused as to who their talking to at times could be somewhat funny if they talk and or yell to Garter and Belt in the same sentence.

Okay that's a good point. I should have been more specific anyways as I did not want to have Shinji fighting ghosts in the first place. As GhostElder just pointed out it would not work. I just thought that Garterbelt would teach Shinji how to defend himself from other humans. Considering his background this is something I could see Garterbelt doing, and looking at the setting Garterbelt comes from Shinji fighting with a leather belt would be acceptable. Potentially crackish in any other setting yes. In Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt not so much. And the idea of calling Shinji Belt and Garterbelt Garter with people getting confused is a pretty good one. Kudos to you GhostElder.

I see Shinji more as the guy who cleans the house and does the cooking. His only real role in Ghost Hunting would be tracking down a Ghosts locations, after all Daten City is quite large and it is doubtful that just a name would be enough for Panty and Stocking to get their quickly. Shinji on the vidphone in their car giving them directions for the fastest route would probably be the limit of his involvement.

Oh and I just had a wonderful thought. Chuck teaches Shinji how to drive. And as it turns out he is a much safer driving instructor than Misato. Confronting Misato with that would be something I'd like to see. And Shinji getting involved in gambling or being a booky due to Garterbelt's influence would be a nice touch as well.

Wow thinking about this has given me some good ideas. The last two I just came up with by while writing this.

Low odds say it's just going to trash the Evas again, and decent odds on us failing on the first try and me getting horribly injured."

And now I can't get the thought of Shinji whipping Zeruel into submission out of my mind. Thank you very much GhostElder. Thank you very much. But this raises the question, what the hell do you build a mecha sized whip out of? Would they tan what was left of one the angels hides or use synthetic fibers? Eva Unit 01 with a giant metal chain as a whip would however be pretty damn cool.

New idea. Both Eva Unit 01 and Kneesocks have one horn. People make this connection and think Shinji has a crush on Kneesocks. He really does not, but she thinks otherwise and tries to seduce him to gain information about the opposition. This leads to awkward situations like Kneesocks following Shinji around in a maid outfit. Not the best of ideas and probably more suited for an omake than the main story.

Another omake idea. Each time an Angel is killed Panty and Stocking talk about it's heavenly counterpart whose name was appropriated to name these "ugly ass things" as they call them. This would let people know that yes Heaven is just as fucked up as Earth is.

Finally what would ghosts of the Angels be like? Keeping their AT field would just make them to overpowered unless Heavenly weapons can break through them. So since they wouldn't have an AT Field so how would they fight. Would they even be effective without it? Afterall it's not just the source of the defensive abilities but most of their powers.

Well as with some of the human ghosts, you can have them gain abilities relating to their deaths if it was traumatic enough. Of course Ramiel would likely turn into a giant ghost rifle, Gahgiel becomes a battleship capable of diving under water, Sallahquiel turns into a knife nut.

Here is an idea to go along with my plot bunny for a Garterbelt raised Shinji. It would not leave me alone unless I posted it. The idea is just how to introduce the Panty and Stocking cast to Evangelion after Shinji arrives in Tokyo 3

The cast and crew of of Eva get introduce to Shinji's family when Panty and Stocking come to pick him up from school and question him about the whole Giant Robot Pilot thing. Unfortunately they pick him up in the middle of the day. Bursting into his classroom and essentially dragging him out. In response to the ensuing panic Shinji states that the two attractive foreigners are his adoptive sisters, causing all kinds of rumors to spring up. The angels then drag Shinji off to a restaurant forcing him to pay for their lunch while he explains what is going on with him fighting giant alien monsters.

Meanwhile the Magi are going wild detecting an unknown pattern that is not human or "angel". NERV quickly track down the source and finds the restaurant. Panic ensues as they realize Shinji is in there with the source of the new pattern. Section Two rushes in and proceed to get their asses handed to them by Panty, Stocking and Shinji. Shinji then calmly asks what the hell they thought they were doing attacking his adoptive family. Gendo thought that his Scenario was salvageable even with a drastically different Shinji then he expected. This would be his first clue that there was no chance in hell of getting what he wants. It just snowballs from there.

Back in Daten City Garterbelt wonders where his two charges are. He will of course not be happy that they went on a trip to harass the boy he considers his own son. So he of course sets out to bring them back. Scanty and Kneesocks wondering why the two angels don't show up to stop them during their latest scheme search and find out where they went (probably by forcing it out of Briefs). Now they should be happy that their rivals are not there to stop them, but Scanty being Scanty will not tolerate this outrage. Since angels and demons are enemies of course those two bitches should show up to fight them! Simply running away from this age old rivalry between the two races is against the rules! So she sets out for Tokyo 3 dragging Kneesocks with her. Who do you think should be the first member of the Eva cast to meet the demon sisters? Personally I think Touji and Kensuke would be pretty funny. However having Ritsuko being the first to meet them and finding out that yes Heaven and Hell are real (and realizing that even if Third Impact occurs as planned there is now way God Almighty would not seek to punish her for what she has done) would cause a massive freak out.

This of course would eventually culminate in a massive angel vs demon battle. In full view of the public. In a city that all the military and political forces of the world are paying attention to and likely have multiple spies in. Daten City being controlled by Corset would be able to avoid this information getting out. Tokyo 3 not so much. Imagine the general populaces reactions. Bonus points and cookies go to anyone who can write a believable scene wherein Chairman Keel has a heart attack from learning that real angels and demons are walking the earth.

Hm, could the Panty + Brief Ep have happened yet?

I keep having a thought that there's some sort of flashback to that. Perhaps at the final fight where Corset and Garter are fighting, and Shinji interrupts.

Now there's no way Shinji would survive direct combat with Corset. Not unless he had an overwhelming or surprise attack that took him out immediately. Well my mind flashed back to the part:

Chuck teaches Shinji how to drive.

And there just so happens to be one Angelic 'weapon' that isn't at the battle in that episode. See Through.

Shinji crashes the battle with the Holy Humvee, possibly loaded with every weapon Garterbelt has in the back seats. Prepped entirely for war, it's all for moot when he accidentally CarFu's Corset off the side of the building on arrival, and barely misses Garter.

Course that changes the whole dynamic of the ending, now Panty and Stocking don't have Garter's black card. So they instead maybe they have to try and get Brief out of the lock.

Ah well this is entirely superfluous to the so far discussed plot. I just thought it's be cool/funny.

............................. Damn it. Now I can't get the thought of Shinji somehow killing one of the Angels by driving a car through it's core and jumping out at the last moment. It would be even better if he stole Gendo's car for this use. That and Eva 01 driving around in a giant go cart and destroying an Angel with it. Crack yes, hilarious most definitely.
