Well, it's 9:45PM, and my patience is at its end.

Screw it. If it's not working again within a few days, I'm done with it.

Apparently Hellscream's World Server is down, so I'm stuck at a loading screen with nothing happening.

Well, it wasn't... as I typed that, it apparently came back up.

Bloodscalp was up for a bit earlier, but now it's down again.

Managed to get in at around 9:45pm last night. Spent the next 2 hours just messing with trying to get addons that work and do what I want and finally giving up in frustration and going to bed. Only gaming thing I did was unlocking "Going Down!" achievement and setting in my new talents.

Addons Comments
-Tomtom: No longer seems to let you right click waypoints onto maps. Seems like you can still use the type command though.

-Lightheaded: No longer works, and hasn't been updated yet. I'm -really- hoping it gets updated soon, as it goes so darn well with Tomtom by letting you set your waypoints, making questing easier. Either that or find an alternative to the combination of TT/LH.

-Clique: Whee, it's updated and works. It -does- seem to cause a few error messages with pally power/quartz on occassion for some reason. Nothing that crashes or screws up the screen, really, just ends up tossing an error message. Just needs to be re-set up for new class mechanics/spells.

-Quartz: Updated version seems to work from what I tested so far. Just have to re-set it up.

-simpleMiniMap: I like changing the shape of my minimap and its location. Found a similar enough addon called Rico's Mini Map (something like that anyhow), which seems to do the same, but I've had some problems with it. Amongst them, some buttons will not move, buttons all rotate in circle form even if you have a square shape map, also a lot of the buttons will stay stuck in position if you move the map across the screen until you move them which forces them to snap back onto the map. Really annoying. I haven't yet seen another option though.

-itemselltooltip: Found something that works just as well, even if it doesn't look as pretty (well, IMO. It's mostly just a color scheme difference, honestly). Don't recall the name though. One thing I need to check is, if I mouseover two quest rewards, will it show me which one's worth more as vendor trash? Forgot to check that last night. Something to do tonight when I get home from work.

-MBB: organizes the buttons on a minimap by merging them into a menu option when clicking on MBB. Update works, but it seems to miss the AtlasLoot button and the ability to decide which buttons stay and which ones to add to it. Going to have to see if it can capture other buttons still.

-PallyPower: Works as far as I can tell. Going to keep using this for now, but going to have to keep an eye for some of the buff addons going out, now that a lot of buffs don't stack and/or overwrite each other depending on talents.

-Bartender3: Discontinued, only exists as Bartender4...which is a horrible failure and a piece of utter SHIT in terms of sheer functionality. Bartender4 also -requires- an addon called ButtonFacade to modify the appearance of action bar buttons...and BF hasn't been updated. Despite two skins apparently being updated. Not sure how -that- works exactly. Oh and apparently one bag is made a bigger sized icon than the other four, which looks horrible, and you can't resize them all the same size. Blegh.

I either have to wait for Bartender4 to gain all the functionality it promises and ButtonFacade to update and have some skin options I like for it, or find a different addon that lets me move around and reorganize action bars. Problem is finding one that gives me the freedom B3 gave me, as well as skin options so I can modify the borders of buttons. Reason I liked B3 was because there was an addon specifically designed to help modify borders using B3.

Don't want to use an addon that comes with it's own unmoddifiable action button borders.

-Xperl: Updated, seems to work, just have to resetup that whole bitch. Ugh.

-Grid: A few knockoffs are available, but none look as compact/nice as Grid. No horrible loss admittedly, I only really used it to see who pulled aggro and debuff icons I could cleanse. Xperl does those as well, although I think Grid does it better visually, and it worked for me to use both side by side for that purpose. Just need to get used to xperl alone for now maybe.

-Atlas/Atlas Loot Enhanced: Both seem to have been updated and works as far as I can tell. Only problem is that the two versions released aren't 'technically' compatible with each other. Haven't seen any issues between the two, but every time I log onto a character with these two addons enabled, I get an error message.

-GroupCalendar: Blizz did it's own version. Don't like the appearance, but it's not horrible. I just want to be able to change the minimap icon, and be able to move it or detach it. Not to mention making it smaller.

-Omen: Haven't seen how the Blizz version works. It -has- been updated though, so I'm guessing some people think Omen just works better. Will see if the guild as a whole is satisfied with Blizz version, or if I should be updating it.

-Recount: Updated. No comments, really.

Given the shit with addons, I think I'm going to deactivate a portion of them for now on my pally. Going to keep Atlas (but not the loot enhanced version), Pally Power, Recount, Clique, Quartz, and the item tooltip one. Just gonna stick to the Blizzard defaults for now, until addons get to the point I can use them without disgust because they've had time to integrate/test with the live patch.

As for my alts, I'll stick purely to Atlas, Quartz and the item tooltip. Well, and whatever quest helper addon I can stick on them.

I seem to be having an annoying problem with the new patch. And it isn't anything with the patch itself.

My computer always seemed to have a RAM problem with WoW (play too long, screen gets glitchy and eventually, becomes unplayable). Not a problem with simple questing in say, lightly populated areas (especially when I'm leveling an alt). But when I hit more populated areas (like Shattrath or Battlegrounds), game gets laggy, and at worse, reduces my gameplay time to a few hours. I took out a few addons in the hope to reduce that problem.

Since the new patch, it seemed to have gotten worse. At least with my Warlock. Since my Warlock is a 70, I've been heavily BGing to get her PvP epic gear. Well, usually I could get in a few Alterac Valley, EotS, AB, etc. before I need to restart. Not today.

Could only get one AV in, and that one, I barely finished before I needed to restart. <_<

And oh, since the patch disabled all my addons... that alone will not solve this.

If this is what Wrath is going to be like, I think I'm screwed.

This computer is Window XP computer with 1 gig of memory. It is possible to upgrade to 2 gigs, but that requires buying that second gig, make sure this computer is compatible with so-and-so memory, and of course put it into my computer (this being a laptop).

Nevermind the fact I'm flat broke. Not broke enough to play WoW. :p But I can't be spending willy nilly either.

When I tried to start WOW 30 minutes ago the game started to download a new patch. I don't knbow if it's the same as this one, but the damn thing is apparently downloading 7 gigs (!!!) of data. So that means, no WOW for me this evening and I'll have to download for the whole night.

Sell your liver on the black market and update to 4 gigs of memory, Simmy!

Part of the problem is that a looooooot of people are logging on right now just to mess with new features. That's gonna make lag worse on everything.

Also, have you turned down things like detail on terrain/spells/etc?

I have 4 gigs on my computer, and I -still- lower the detail on everything from it's default.

If you haven't done that, I really would recommend it.

Yeah. I haven't reduced the details beyond the default. Probably will do it now to make the game even playable.

Oh well, back to WoW.

The servers are still pretty unstable. There's a lot of random lag spikes hitting all throughout the day, which makes raiding a real pain.

On a brighter note though, mod authors are churning out updates even faster than they did last patch. While the layouts for ag_unitframes are still dead, buttonfacade finally updated, as did arkinventory and outfitter. Huzzah!

And on a last note, raiding is stupidly easy now. Previously, we would do about 7/9 BT one night, finish that up and clear Hyjal the next, and work on Sunwell for the remaining raid nights. Now...

In one raid night, just four hours...we cleared all of Hyjal, all of BT, and 2/9 SwP.

While bosses in Sunwell still require proper execution, Illidan and down has become a joke. It felt more like they were 5-man bosses instead of t6 content.
