Naruto Possible Bleach fic idea

Ever since I've seen the crappy Naruto/Bleach crossovers, I've always wondered how to make it actually interesting rather than the OMG NARUTO DYES AND TRNS SHINUGAMU N WIPE OUT EVRYTHNG WTH ICHIGOS HELP.

Then I decided. Instead of having Naruto die and turn into a shinigami, I thought about making Naruto die and turn into a hollow. Of course it wouldn't be any fun if Naruto was just a boring old hollow. I was thinking about having Kyuubi's chakra/youki or whatever you want to call it to force Naruto's corruption of his chain of destiny into a hyper-increased state.

Like Ichigo, I wanted Naruto to rip off his mask just as he went fully hollow. That way, instead of becoming a Vizard, Naruto could turn into Arrancar instead. From my thought, Kyuubi's chakra is so unreal and completely malleable that it might lend Naruto the strength to take off his mask.

Of course, since hollows are forced to take souls to survive, this would force Naruto into big problems. He would be stuck in a crappy situation of feeding of souls to survive or to try and starve to save lives. I say Naruto would feel all this because the Arrancar have shown rational thoughts and emotions. The story would basically cover Naruto's experiences before going into the Bleach timeline.

I wasn't too sure about Zanpakuto but I wanted Naruto's shikai to be his four-tailed form. I wouldn't give him bankai because that would make Naruto even more overpowered than what this story would allow. I was planning on making Naruto starve himself of souls to be weak so that by the time Bleach starts, he would be weaker than Aizen or Yamamoto.

Of course I have no confidence in my writing skills so (as sad as it is to say) I would be grateful if someone would like to try it out.

It's an interesting idea to say the least. The idea of Naruto becoming a Hollow instead of being turned into a Shinigami is unique to say the least. No longer as a goody goody character, but a bad one relatively speaking (due to the nature of Arrancar).

That being said, well, I in theory could write a fic with this idea, but the only issue with me is, I usually don't like turning characters (like Naruto) into 'bad' characters (even if it is one of those 'bad' but 'not really bad' characters). Also, I haven't gotten too far with Bleach to confidently write any fanfics in that fandom.

Not to mention all of the fics I have in the backburner, that might remain there given the total lack of free time I have. <_<

The thing is, Arrancar are so vastly overpowered compared to shinigami, I want to make Naruto weaker than he should be by not feeding off souls. The way I see it, since Naruto would be a natural Arrancar as opposed to Aizens', he should have a higher skill and strength level. You see Aizen's Arrancar each have some part of their original mask left on them. I always thought this was because of the unnatural "birth" they had. Rather than getting strong enough to take off their masks on their own, they had to use the Hogyoku. An temporary boost given by an outside source whereas Naruto used his and Kyuubi's power. Since Kyuubi's power has been with him almost since the moment Naruto was born, I consider it to be a very toxic ability only usable by him.

As for Kyuubi, Kyuubi would be Naruto's zanpakuto, but I was planning on having Kyuubi try to escape during Naruto's death and lose a great deal of his original power.

One of the reasons I write this is to try and fight against the perception that all enemies of the main characters are evil. They're not, in Naruto's world, all they're doing is their job wheter it is assassination or guard duty. Hollows are forced to eat souls to survive and I'm really not seeing a lot of love for enemies. This way, it could lend perspective on the "evil side."

I say let the man try. It'd be a breath of fresh air anyway.

I had a similar idea for a Naruto fic, only it would have had Naruto turn into a spirit of some sort - Wraith, Presence or something along those lines. Or even just have him actually retain his body, and go from corpse, to zombie, to skeleton... could be pretty damn creepy.

Ahh. But who said Naruto would be on the bad side? Yes Naruto will exist in the mortal world and Hueco Mundo, but this is supposed to show a different perspective on hollows. Most are incredibly sadistic, but not all. I mean, there really is no completely "evil" race.

Besides, Naruto will still have most of his same character. He'll be changed because, after all, he did die and turn into something he would consider a monster. Naruto's already short temper will dwindle even more and he'll be far more violent. Arrancar are extremely intellegent creatures. They can think and they can reason. Arrancar follow Aizen because they are loyal to him, but for all you know, some may betray him because they know what Aizen is capable of.

Naruto is going to go through hell. He'll be unable to interact with his friends and can only watch them die on missions or due to old age. Due to his experiences in both life and death, he won't trust very easily. He'll accept and even bask in attention of course, but he'll be very afraid of getting hurt and try to keep to himself. With friends though, he'll turn into the hyperactive blond we love. I think that I'll make Naruto like the Vizard, on no one's side at all except his own. Naruto is already fiercly independent and relied on almost no one since he was young so this shouldn't be too big a stretch.

Naruto will be very curious though just like he is in canon. I've kinda pictured a scenario where he'll meet Urahara. They'll be incredibly suspicious of each other of course, but they'll eventually develop a fairly good relationship in time. Naruto first represents an excellent research oppurtunity. In that time frame, a hollow taking off its maks is only speculation and if Urahara can study an actual Arrancar, he'll be very pleased.

Naruto won't really trust shinigami but he can understand their purpose. But he'll be very envious of them. With gigai, shinigami can interact with the living world while he can't. That will make him seriously jealous.

I may actually write this after all. I'll try to put in a preview if I can, but don't count on it. The only thing that really makes me afraid of this story is that I'll have to put in OCs who aren't passive if I do decide to write this. And considering this will be my first story, I'm scared shitless.

Wage forth my wayward son, for the only way to progress is to strike forward regardless of success or not you get better at writing by practicing, even if this doesn't turn out well you will still learn a bit more about writing and what you can do. Actually, I'd argue that he CAN somewhat interact with his friends. Namely, animals can see Hollows. And Kiba has Akamaru.

It may take an overly long time, but Naruto could eventually somewhat interact with the rest of his old friends through Kiba, and by extension Shino, due to his Kikai bugs.

Just a quick idea.

I should also add that for all that talk about Bad Side, Naruto would simply be a predator. I don't see humans considering themselves bad when they eat a cow, regardless of how the cow may feel, so classifyingf Naruto as 'bad' just because he snacks on human souls is bullshit. Just to clarify that detail.

Me, I support this idea. Manga don't make sense anyway, so why should this fic be any different? As long as it's entertaining nonsense instead of the kind of Mary Sue bullshit we see in the timeskip, I have no exception.

For the record, Naruto could very well **prevent** his friends' untimely deaths in missions... by attacking the ones that are threatening them. Being an Arrancar is a huge advantage, as it allows him to act sort of like an invisible guardian to those he cares for. And few things would unnerve the Leaf's enemies more than seeing their companions apparently shredded by an invisible foe.

Whether Naruto would be considered 'bad' that he consumes human souls, then we get into the whole philosophical argument about whether humans and cows are different. After all, cows are just lazying around, eating grass all day, while humans have the power to 'change' the world. For good, and yes, for bad too. Hence the whole humans going to heaven and hell thing.

But again, that goes into the whole philosophical debate about what is a soul, do animals have it, etc. If we continue down this path, we'll be getting into a huge religous argument, and well, that will nicely destroy this thread (after all, Hindus see cows as holy and will not eat them. Christains, Jews, Muslims? Not so much. Atheist as a whole no. But extreme veggitarians would equate eating ANY animals to murder). :sweat: Obviously this should stop now.

And while I'm not a huge fan of this story idea, doesn't mean you or anyone who might pick it up should stop there. After all, some ideas that I though was 'meh', turned out to be great fics in the right hand. So who knows how a fic will turn out in the end.

I'm not going to take part of the whole "good and bad" argument, it's pointless since what I think good can be bad for the next guy and the opposite...

On a side note, the idea of the "bad guys crew" (Orochimaru, Akatsuki and all of Naruto ennmy) trowing party because the Kyubi-kid (who was becoming a pain in the ass for their scheme) is finally dead and mysteriously being killed one after another without any apparent reason is particulary appeling to me...

The thing is, I'm really busy right now and I need to brush up on my oh so 1337 Bleach Skillz. Not to mention it looks like more info about the hollows is about to be released, considering Ichigo and his friends are in Hueco Mundo. So my preview probably won't come out for a while.

I am however thinking a a fic which will explore Naruto's life from birth to graduation. Just don't expect anyone screaming YOU'RE A DEMON YOU MONSTER at Naruto.
