Precarious Predicaments.

Right, I don't know how many of you have played this game but it's your basic Sims game in a medieval fantasy land. It's darker than all of the other games for featuring violence, drugs, drinking, religion (Secular parents, go figure) and other things.

This game works differently than other Sims games in that you have multiple Sims you control, the Monarch, Knight, Bard, Doctor, Wizard, Merchent, Blacksmith, Spy, Jacobian Priest and some other priest I never bothered to make.

An easy way to sum up this story would be: Why having a bisexual bard with the combined traits of friendly and seductive in a land made up predominantly of women is a bad thing.

--

Fireworks exploded in the sky, illuminating the various pavillions and tables that dotted the town square. A young woman in Wizard robes smiled and laughed with the children who danced around in excitement. A few magic words and another round of fireworks shot up.

The yearly festival was in full swing now with performers from across the Kingdom showing off their skills. The Bards Guild had brought their best, musicians played their instruments, minstrels sang songs, acrobats balanced on blunt sword tips, and jugglers juggled daggers with amazing skill.

It was a great show of unity and culture among the Kingdom's inhabitants, Ariadne was the largest kingdom in the world, it covered more than half the landmass and it's vast navies could be seen in almost every sea. Every year the capital at Nare held a grand festival to celebrate the current peace.

Nobles from all over gathered for this yearly festival, including the royal family of Effenmont. The elves had fought too many wars during their time and the resulting devastation pushed them back to their island capital. When Ariadne first established itself a political marriage between King David and the eldest princess Elincia was considered to be the best option.

Now the happy couple sat at the best vantage point of the festival, their young son Marcus watched the festival in awe, he hadn't been to many festivals and this was a happy experience.

Elena knew all of this was basic history, but sometimes it felt good to remember when she first came to Ariadne as a young Troubador with nowhere to go. She remembered setting up in the tavern and that was the beginning of a grand adventure.

She strummed the lute once more, ending her song and bowing to her audience. Festivals always provided the perfect opportunity to have fun and earn a lot of gold for her playing.

However it was tiring to play for so long and she decided now was the perfect time to break and eat a little bit.

She stepped off the stage and yelped as she bumped into a random passerby. She fell onto her butt and winced, looking up at the person she'd hit.

"Oh, Kira, my apologies I didn't see you there!" She said as she quickly got to her feet.

Kira was a longtime friend and a noble from Tredony, she had blonde hair and green eyes. She wore an elegant dress that surpisingly matched well with her features.

Of course as a noble, even a minor one, this was to be expected. Still Elena couldn't help but notice how pretty it made her friend.

"No need to fret Elena, I would not want to cause a scene over something so trivial. Though I am curious as to where you are off to in such a hurry?"
Kira replied, her voice neutral though Eleena couldn't help but notice the familiarity between old friends.

She scratched the back of her head, a nervous habit, and smiled.

"I was just on my way to grab a drink and a bite to eat milady." She said quickly.

Kira smiled and stepped back, the explosion of fireworks overhead illuminated her face for a brief moment.

"Would you mins if I joined you Elena, we have some catching up to do." There was a hint of something else in her voice that Elena could not place.

"Um, sure! There's a table over there, we can eat there." She said, marching over to save them both a seat,

Kira only chuckled softly and followed behind,

That reference eludes me.

I'm bored and this was just a random idea that popped into my head after finishing the game.

Google it, it's the story of the life of 2 homeless sims, one a fairly humble looking girl and her abusive father, it has it heartwarming, gutwrenching, and tearjerking moments. I recomend reading it.

Hm, I just might.

However there is a difference between the Sims Medieval and the previous sims games as it acts more like an rpg in addition to a life-simulation game.

There are quests you take with certain player sims and once that quest ends you move onto another one with a new sim.

It's a rather odd change to people who have played the previous three.

And. now that I look at it I don't know how to take pictures of my gameplay.
