Problem with TFF

No it isn't. I go to a forum powered by Invision and they have a fully functioning search system. It's a very good system too.

I don't know if Invision has a default search form, but it does support a functional search form.

No Invision forum I've yet seen has one set up. And I know at one point it was discussed extensively when Hawk was still active here.

If it was implemented by Invision in the last year though... Hawk would not have done anything about it here, nor would we have known unless we checked.

EDIT: A check just now through google, I came up with one using it, though it was a bit basic. They are on Invision Power Board version 2.3.6.

We are on Invision Free 1.3. Willing to bet search is a 2.x feature.

EDIT2: Checking Invision Free feature list, the only serach mentioned is a member name search. Not a forum search.

What? So you calling me a liar?

What the hell man? What did I ever do to you?

Urgh, so goddamn annoying.

Note the version.

Like I said, I'm not sure if it's a default option that Invision offers (a free option), but Invision definitely does support it. Once again, it's not Invision's fault.

I'm just getting a little sick of hearing that all the time, especially since I use the search option on that forum there quite a lot.

Nope... I never said you were a liar... I said nothing insulting in the above posts that I can see.

I said *I* had never seen it on any Invision forum I've been to, nor did it ever come up in discussion here... and the one I did find with it after a brief search, had only a basic one.

In any case... if it is a feature Hawk can add, or Hawk has to request... it is likely we are not getting it anytime soon.

EDIT: Another possibility just occured to me... If even the Invision site does not list a forum search as a feature for 1.3 (I did not look through everything, just the main page list), it could be that particular forum custom coded a search function page.

In essence, questioning my whole post of, Invision Power Board supporting an extensive search form. Which essentially boils down to calling me a liar since I referenced a direct forum as my source.

If you weren't objecting, then don't post the whole, "Well I've never seen that before, and all the times we discussed this here it never came up."

Especially since it was those kind of thoughts that made me post in the first place...

And, of course, I'm choosing to take it personally since I can. :D

I apologize for the necro but I'd rather not create a new Topic..

Does anyone know how to delete topics that you've created? And if so, can you please tell me?

Go to a topic you've created and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. Below the Page selector should be a little drop-down box with Moderation Options in red. Click that, select Delete This Topic, then hit Go.

Done.
