Ranma Thundercats crossover

#1
Dunno if this has been done before, or not. but timeline wise for Ranma it takes place during the Neko-Ken training and near the end of the First episode of Exodus in the Thundercats timeline. Basically, during the training Genma thinks he's doing the training wrong and re-reads the pages, but now another set of pages are stuck showing a weird design to be drawn for the user to be in. the spell activates and sends Ranma into the Thundercats timeline where when asked who hurt him, after they get him to calm down, Ranma said his poppa. well, the thundercats decide after that to Raise him.
all I can think of is the basics for 2 arcs. The first is during his time on Third Earth learning from not just the Thundercats, but their allies Willa of the Warrior Maiden Tribes, Hachiman, the Robears, Snowman from Hook Mountain and Mandora the Evilchaser. age wise for the youngest Ranma is 6, the thunder Cubs are 10, and the rest between 18 and 30. Tigra and Panthro being the 2 oldest.

the second arc begins just before the beginning of the Ranma series. with Ranma (16), Wily Kit and Cat (20) being sent either by Mumm-rana's magic, Panthro's modification of the Time capsule or Mumm-Ra's magic. the former 2 to help Ranma get home to learn from his own time with Kit and Cat joining their friend in exploring, the latter because Mumm-Ra believes by taking Ranma out of the Picture, he will have an easier Time taking out the cats. this arc may end up having them going to Jade hearing of a werecat community when they see The diggers as they enter the Amazon Village. (the gold diggers crew are there exploring rumors of what they thought was another were community. in the ranma timeline he'll find out that the Warrior Maidens were the ancestors of the Joketzoku, and that Hachiman was Nodoka's ancestor. thus why she carries the blade. Ranma will be carrying on him a Token from willa's tribe that Cologne will recognize as an amulet for their Allies and the Thundercats Symbol on his Shoulder of his clothes as a sacred mark. yes, Ranma will fall into a spring. Drown Female alien catgirl. hint hint.

I can't possibly state everything I dislike about this idea without taking up the whole screen. So I'll just say "everything". Sorry, but personally, I reject every single facet of this. Next!

It wasn't too bad. But then the Diggers showed up and Ranma dtill got a curse.

the only reason on the diggers is to give a differing origin on werecreatures being the decendants of the mutants and thunderians. the curse was a last minute choice. discard that curse if need be.

My jaw was hanging open after I read this.

This idea...is beyond weird. I would have to agree with NDF on this one.

The thing is that by bringing in the Diggers you're not stating the differnce between lycanthropes and Thunder Cats. You are aruing the difference between Gold Digger style lycanthropes and and Thunder Cats. There is a major difference and if you're going to throw away any mention of them after words it's a terrible idea.

let alone the fact that the 'Sword of Omens' is considered a WEAK everyday style magic object on Jade.... (In the first of second GD adventure on Jade, the girls picked upa copy of the sword omens... used it once, broke it, and i think commented on how it was a common magical object)...

I actually thought up a THundercats/Ranma bunny a long time ago which used a much better method of traveling to THird Earth than the cliche 'Genma Messes up the neko ken' and has the bonus of not needing any deus ex machina since in Cannon Thundercats there already IS a portal from ancient Earth and future third earth..

Namely created by Merlin... after Mumra tricked the lady of the lake to give him excalibur.. merlin traveled to third earth to retrieve the sword... then went back tot he past to return it to the Lady of the Lake. Assuming Merlin did this from the ancient past (THundercats... middle/darkages for us) you have a portal connecting the two..

now you just have to figure out why Ranma would be in England to use said portal (Genma training trip I suppose works, my method used the nanban mirror) and why Merlin would have kept the portal open, or why the portal reopened while Ranma was there (again I went around this in my idea throught he Nanban mirror.. which depoisted Ranma near Merlin just as he returned from Third earth... and Ranma tripped and fell thorugh the portal...)

(if you curious the basic outline for the idea starts here http://addventure.bast-enterprises.de/132147.html And do note that while Ranma is 'technically' a Thundercat, he is not a thundarian.... It has more to do with the 'spirit possesion' version of the Nekoken you see in Ranma fics now and again... the last episode in the thread pretty much sums it up...)

Hmm... looking at that old episode reminds me of another bunny of mine....

the reason I mentioned GD for it was Mr. Perry made the Edge Guard a Loose Recreation of the original Thundercats with using the same letters for the names. Thropan, Onoli, Tigra, Brittanny's Nickname. gar and sheila were his version of the wily twins with new names. also if you haven't noticed they look more human then cat, unlike werewolves in the series. how I was trying to set up is either the werecats were the decendants of thundarians cursed into a more feline form, or that they were an alternate race that evolved similar to the thundarians. the name of the wizard if in the first version may have been mumm-ra in disguise.
