Happened at about 3:50 PST while I was reading. I'm glad that I downloaded the entire website at the last update (Friday February 8, 2008) It may not have had the most recent stuff, but it had a lot and was well organized.

That site has changed webmasters multiple times and hardly gets any updates anymore anyway. This is not a surprise.

Well, it goes to a forum now, but it's not supposed to. Here's an update:

As many of you can tell, I am working on getting things (or at least trying to) back to where they should be, and yes I will be doing an (very long overdue) update.? I seem to have broken something along the way though, the forum is supposed to only work on forum.ranmafics.com and the regular site at (www.)ranmafics.com -- but something's b0rk3d [to use a technical term there], and as it's going on 4am here, I'm going to be calling it a night.

I was going to give it a few more days, then start attempting to discover alternate links.

Glad I will not have to. Been working on redoing my filters, mostly done. ew ones have less entries to do the same thing, should speed up my program a bit.

Well, still not sure exactly what the issue is, but I think I've got a workaround going for now... http://www.ranmafics.com should be the normal site (issue is that http://ranmafics.com should default to the site and not the forum).? In any case, that's where things stand on that front.? In regards to recovering the old database, it's not looking good, I'm having trouble mounting the partitions to even access it, and fdisk sees it as a 1099.5 GB device (it's actually a 120gig), so I'm not letting my hopes get too high...

Hmmm... While it was working as of yesterday... I note it is again down today and goes tot he forum, instead of the archive.

EDIT: Sigh... Never mind... I see what they did... Now I just have to change all 54 links I have.

Yes... Which was why I edited my prior post immediately after making it.

But what changed is how things work for preexisting direct story links. They now must have the www in front or the browser errors out.

So I spent some 15 minutes correcting my 57 or so site links.
