It occurred to me the other day how to make my fanfics a little more interesting on the social levels of character interaction, as well as pull a rather interesting spin on the writing of such fanfiction.
I'm looking for authors from this site, and FanFiction.Net to join me in a completely OC version of Eva. Rather than simply copying what happens in the canon Eva universe, what would happen if, like a television series, certain authors were asked to portray a couple or even a single character?
My idea is to gather a group of authors to "roleplay" the Eva characters, and engage the story as live-action chatroom. For the sake of publishing online, the story resulting from such chat would be saved in a text format. However, for those interested in a live action reading of the characters' interaction, the chat would be accessable by others (perhaps as a thread here in the NGE previews section).
Because individuals would be able to interact as one or more characters like a screenplay, they could interpret the characters as they see fit, rather than just as they are in canon. The big importance of this matter is the fact the characters could reminisce about previous battles, jokes, or the culture of Eva in their normal dialogue as one would naturally bring up a funny story about their buddies in reality.
Think of this as a "24" for the fanfic world.
