Reused Plot Device...Dot Hack Style!

Heheh...I'm new here and I've had this idea roaming around my head for a while waiting for some sort of releases. SO I will share since my .dot hack buddy offline doesn't like my fanfics.

Plot/Summary:

Its a month after the defeat of Cubia, and G.U. has officially disbanded, though Yata still kept his position over the Serpent of Lore. All the members of G.U. have returned back to a state of normalcy and yet Yata gets bored. And everyone knows a Bored Genius is a Dangerous Genius. He idly observes how many of the females of THE WORLD are smitten with Haseo, Including Shino, Alkaid, and Atoli and thusly a plan forms.

Getting Haseo to agreeing to Participate in a mysterious event, Yata announces the "Empress of Death" tournament when the winners of the tournament gets to Marry Haseo, no matter how many characters on the team.

Thusly the Gauntlet is thrown, and Haseo not only has to watch this evil tournament go down, but every single girl hes met is trying to win! Not to mention the sudden team up of Atoli, Shino, and Alkaid, the sudden interest from Bordeaux, and avoiding the more than happy Endrance who also was allowed to enter the tournament.

This is one Battle that Haseo wishes he wasn't apart of.

I might write it but if someone wants to, its free to pick up. I did have another idea, though it'll be kinda hard to get it out.

Even for silly guy like me, this idea is pretty far-fetch.

Just because her ending in .hack was pretty fun. How many girls can you name in .hack who'd get a creepy yandere stalker look in their face and then POUNCE on a terrified Haseo?

I'm considering playing with this idea, so should anyone win? I remember being a bit disappointed when Haseo chased after Atoli because I like Shino slightly more (despite the fact that she only shows up in person for about a minute).

Well...Theres Atoli and Shino, both he liked very well.

Then theres Alkaid. Personally I'd like it if she would win.

Bordeaux is a likely candidate.

Then theres a lot of non main character women out there that could compete

Like NAOO and Tanu (though Tanu is after Gabi...).

And Endrance and Hiiragi. For the simple fact their just...its. They lack the capacity to be called Men, as my friend would say.

Umm....That girl with Zelkova could win

And Tabby could make a reappearance and compete.

In fact I had a working plot going in my head for a minute there but forgot it.

Maybe the announcer along with Haseo decide that with the controversial nature of his Sage Palace win and the chaos that followed that they should hold a second tournament to settle the matter for good with Haseo facing off against any enemies that come after him. Initially that's all it is, but quickly his admirers somehow decide (forums probably) that what Haseo's looking for is a player or a team of players that can match him in battle, and that morphs into a conviction that the tournament will select his online girlfriend (in this he hasn't done the marriage of choice yet). Throw in Aihara adding to the chaos with attempts for an online interview and you've got crack, read it and inhale.

Hmm.... Its been a while since I've done anything .hack related, but I'm reminded of the fact, IIRC, that Piros the 3rd states something to the extent that Natsume stalked Kite IRL, so now I've got a fun idea for a IRL fic of Ryou Misaki freaking out as his female teammates (plus Endrance) all are stalkers, and keep breaking into his apartment. And it all being Yata's fault.

Furthermore, it says that I've been rewatching a little too much Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, as I keep imagining that the Stalker chain from it could easily be applied here, with Natsume stalking Ryou, Kite's RL player stalking Natsume because she's no longer stalking him, and so on.

Great, now i have to go replay the games.

I wish the rest of the GU novels would finish up being translated and get released over here, but they're releasing them at the rate of one a year basically.

Am I the only one who wants more IRL material on the lives of the characters in .hack?

Yeah me too. I found out that Ryou Misaki was Haseo by chance because I was looking how to spell Bordeax without hooking up my playstation up in the computer room just to look up a name...

>_< Its also the fact that If I start playing again, I'll end up maxing out Haseo's level to 150 if I do and try to make him marry Alkaid....


THAT and I don't have Part 1 and its a pain trying to find it.

Yup, until the GU perfect guide came out, there was very little about Haseo IRL and until stuff like GU+ came out over here there was little in way of confirming that info. Especially not who he used to be.

You'd think they'd have something going 'wow this is something rather important, and perhaps needing to be looked into.' but everyone official went '...meh, who cares?' (Except for perhaps the novels, but I guess I'll find out in 2012, when the last novel will be released, if tokyopop's one a year release trend is to be kept up for the novels.)

You know, what with R.A. plan being based on Ryou Misaki's relationship to Skeith and all, you think it'd be a bit more important. Or that there was potentially more they could have done using the GU cast? That they could have used him to show how some of the old cast members were doing IRL seven or so year later?

But, I guess not.

That reminded me of another story idea I had for Haseo, but then, even though I'm always pro choice on every pairing (cept yaoi -shivers-) I'm just too heavily pro Haseo/Alkaid and while I wouldn't put Atoli or Shino in the situation this story touches, its a pretty good idea.

The whole story premise is that the Corporation (another thing, I can't remember the name of that place, and I think CC Corp is wrong or it could be right I dunno) decides to re-do the world three years after the battle of Cubia and asked the Emperors (Haseo, Alkaid, Sirius, and that old guy whose name escapes me...god bad with names) to beta test it. but when they do, a shortage messes with the server and sends them to the past when Kite and crew was dealing with Cubia as well. Oh and Haseo vanishes for a bit, and Sora messes with Alkaid's head.

Hmmm, interesting. Yeah, the company name is CC corp. And the old guy's name, IIRC, is Taihaku.

If I'd have any input, I'd say make it an exact simulation of the past or a phenomenon caused by interference by the Skeith epitaph or something? Also, would you be meaning the Sora AI? Because by the time of Kite and company, I believe it was the Sora AI (actually Skeith, IIRC) that was acting. As Sora's real consciousness had been sealed in the wand and Skeith was using sora's PC to hunt down Aura. Well, if what the .hack wiki and what little I remember of Liminality and the original games are correct.

As for the pairings, though, any of the girls doesn't bother me and some tactful use of endrance can be decent too.

Anyways with that scenario, Sora's AI will be sealed in the Wand, and Skeith (the version that Haseo encountered after Ovan uses Corbenik's Rebirth program, you know the White Armored Haseo before his Job Extention) would be in control while Haseo himself would be out cold for a bit. the more advanced skeith would override the weaker version, aborbing it.

Ah, I see. In that case it really would basically be Sora, then.

Because, as far as I can tell, the Skeith in GU is the result of Skeith having consumed the Sora portion of Ryou Misaki's memories. Or something to that extent.

Hmmm, that'd be pretty cool. Especially what with it meaning Morganna would be going WTF at the fact Skeith is most likely no longer her minion. Hell, Skeith at end of game would probably be a big threat to Morganna. It does, after all, have all of the data of the other epitaphs and all.

Would I be correct in assuming they'd be in a Tsukasa-like situation, then? Also, how would their data integrate into the old version of the world, especially with someone like Haseo's character type?

As for me I have two story ideas I might write: The first is if Kuhn and his group managed to find Haseo first, and the second is a post GU IRL comedy involving the cast being sent on a nice vacation. Ryou Misaki, of course, going whether he likes it or not.

I might take you up on that offer. But that'll probably be after I replay the GU games. Which will begin tonight, most likely. After I finish watching the GU terminal disk stuff on youtube.

The current concept is that Yata's got mandatory vacation time coming up and blackmails CC corp into getting a big vacation place for him and everyone else. All of the other GU cast get invitations. And Haseo refuses it. Which of course leads to the middle of the night three people (Yata, Kuhn, and Pi) 'breaking in' and later, when Ryou Misaki wakes up...

"....And why am I only wearing a pair of swim trunks?!"

Ohhhh nice, and have some of the other characters (those who aren't in GU) appear at the vacation spot.

"Uhh...Chika...Chigusa...why are you looking at me like that," Ryou muttered with a sweatdrop as he backed up...into someone.

"Why Ryou, I didn't know you cared," said Kaoru happily as he wraps his arm around Ryou.

'I'm going to kill Takumi for this,' Ryou thinks darkly as the girls close in on him.

Yup. Hmmm.... This'll be fun.

Natsume pulling Solid Snake levels of stealth from her 'seven years of stalking' experience?

Ryou swearing revenge on the three? You know, when not running for his personal safety.

If set after Returner.... Masato Indou showing up, only with Ryou being the only one to notice him other than Aina, causing people to think he's crazy?

"Really, Ryou, he's an internationally wanted criminal. You really think he'd show up here out of the blue just to mess with you?"

Ryou glared angrily at Takumi, before looking behind him at the open window where Masato was waving.

"He's right there, what's wrong with you all?! Out the window! Look!"

Everyone turned to see... an open window showing a nice view of the beach. Shino walked towards the window and stuck her head out, looking in all directions before turning back towards him.

"...nothing."

Ryou's eye twitched.

And then Ryou eventually breaks down out of the stress of girls (and Kaoru) going after him, Saku trying to kill him, and Masato messing with his head.

"Hehehe...HAHAHAHAHA," Ryou cackles as he finally snaps. To this end he suddenly pulls out two machetes and hold them like hes playing his PC, Haseo.

"Where did he pull those from," Reiko mutters taking a step back.

"Do you really want to ask HIM that," Tomonari also taking a step back.

"I'm going...to carve "Terror of Death" into each and every one of you...and then I'm going to kill that bastard Masato...again!" Ryou exclaims.

"If my life wasn't in jepordy right now," Nina says, "I would find this extremely attractive..."

"DIE!"
