This was an idea I thought of while chatting with Lord Raa.

We all know how Yui is absorbed. What if Gendo was absorbed? Also, that it could have been prevented. When Gendo was going to 400% little Shinji gets scared by all the comotion and rumbles and trips over some cords, knocking a few computers offline, preventing the team from ejecting the plug.

Because of this, Yui blames Shinji for the loss of her husband and abandons him.

This would make some divergances, like Naoko still being alive. Naoko will be upset that Gendo is gone, and blames Yui for it, not Shinji; he's only child how would? Little Shinji doesn't understand what happens. So she devises a plan to get back at Yui and compromise her scenario to get Gendo back. That is to seduce Shinji and have him help her thwart Yui's plans.

Go from there.

There's a fic called 'Scenario no Yui' that's vey similar to what you propose. Look for it on FF.Net.

Yeah, I've read one where it was Gendo absorbed and Yui that survived as well, though I can't recall the name right now.

True, someone has done something like it, but it has been updated in almost 5 months. It would interesting to see another spin on it.

I know which one you are talking about Genocide, but there would be some differences:

1) Yui would blame shinji for gendo being absorbed, thus her abandoning him when he was a child.

2) Gendo being absorbed could have been prevented if shinji didn't trip on the cords pulling them out.

3) Naoko would see Shinji as a way to be better than Yui. I mean what could be worse to a mother than having her own child love you more than her? This could also bring about a sexual relationship between Naoko and Shinji, and a sibling bond with Ritsuko.

4) Yui wouldn't have created Rei, she would have created Kaworu and Tabris would be played by Rei. (Possible hints at a sexual relationship between Kaworu and Yui)

So yeah, it may be the same concept, but how it happens and what happens will be very different.

I like it dude. I think you should keep Kowaru male, because the thing is too many authors make kowaru female, but do it just so Shinji can have one more person added to the whole harem mix. It would be interesting yes to see female kowaru play an active role in the story, she never does. However for character development I say keep him male, but I think it would also be interesting to see Kowaru be the one that at some point abbandons Yui.
