Due to the move, these rules are now outdated- we will still, however, roughly follow them until the new rules are adopted.

1:
Play nice with the other members ( on the forums ). That means no insults, condesending comments or whatever in the posts. Constructive critisism ( I don't like this because xxxxxx, it would be better if you xxxxx. ) is not only allowed, but encouraged. Whatever you get up to in PM's or private e-mails is none of my concern, but you'd better play nice in the posts.

2:
Keep lemon material in the various subfolders in the Lemon forum. If you don't have access to that, bug Hawk for access and don't even think about posting it elsewhere before you do get that access.

3:
The only exceptions to 2 are games in the WoD-section. The WoD gameline is a game for adult and mature individuals, set in a darker version of our own world. As such, shit will be allowed to happen there. Don't like? Don't enter the games.

4:
Use common sense when posting.

If you have something R?-related, well, doesn't that sound like it belongs in the Ranma ? forum rather then the Love Hina section?

When it comes to crossovers, post only in one of the forums, not one copy of the topic for each fandom the topic belongs to.

If it's a lemon, no matter the forum, it belongs in the Lemon forum, nowhere else.

Seriously consider if your post actually adds anything to the discussion at hand before making it. If it does not, well, then why would you post it in the first place? Pointless and/or irrelevant comments/statements belong in the Rants, nowhere else.

5:
Be polite and follow rule 1+4 in your posts. Only posts made in the Rant-section is extempt from 1, 4 and 5. Rants are just that and quite a bit of leeway will be granted there, as long as you don't get overly insulting, racist, sexist, homophobic, offensive in general or whatever.

Stating a fact like "Most of the crimes in my area are comitted by foreigners." is okay, should that actually be the case in your area.

"Scottish are brash cheap drunkard pansies wearing girly skirts.", is a statement that crosses the line. While there no doubt are at least a handful of Scots that fits this description, just as there are some Swedes, Americans, Egyptians, Italians and whatnot who fits this description, it's wrong to judge the many by the few.

Cursing is something I couldn't care less about, as long as it's not used in violation of rule 1. Thus, "This daft weather is sodding worse then bloody taking it up the fucking ass!" is perfectly fine. While statements like, "Forum Member Xxxxx is a motherfucking ruddy plonker of a bastard who has a STD-infected dick the size of a maggot!" are straight out!

6:
Want a new forum for some popular fandom, a new category for whatever reason, your own game in the WoD-section or merely your own section in the Rants? Bug Hawk for it.

7:
As there are people out there violently opposed to yaoi/yuri/slash pairings, put a warning in your Topic Description if whatever you post includes such a pairing.

8:
If you feel some need to make a "You fail!" post and can't see from 1, 4 and 5 that this isn't the way to go about things, check this topic out.

9:
The Suggestion Box Forum is a handy place to suggest/discuss recent/future changes to the forum. So use that, instead of using stray topics or other forums for stuff like thiss. Also, Polls are a handy tool to see what the interest for a possible change might be. As I've occationally had to work with polls and been asked to provide ones that results in a particular result before the first person has even been asked a single question, I like polls that ask a direct question and has simple 'Yes', 'No' and 'Neutral' answers. It tends to increase the fairness, that way, I've noted... :)

If somebody breaks one of these, please use the report button to let me know about it, as I only really read the threads on my days off or sometimes in the evenings, so spotting offences can be quite the lengthy process for me.

I'd appriciate if people didn't respond to rule breaking in the actual topics, however. If somebody is out of line, ignore them or if you do feel the need to respond, the report function is a wonderful one. No need to get others annoyed by abusing the topic for some war of words. Quite a bit of leeway is granted to offensive responses to a rule violation, but my patience is not infinitive and if I see it happen repeatedly, the respondee will suffer the consequences as well.

That's it, for now. If I think you're in violation of any of these very simple rules and someone reports it, I'll let you taste the banhammer. I'm way too lazy and infrequent a moderator to use some kind of warning system, so step lightly.

Feel that additional rules are needed? Bug Hawk for 'em and I'll think about it.
