Scariest Yandere in Fiction

Which yandere is, in your opinion, the scariest in all of fiction?

And don't tell me Dilandau isn't a yandere. He/she (depending on if you use the manga or anime) was practically stated to once have been a decent fellow who was turned batshit loco by a troubled past...

Hmmm... lots of choices.

I've not seen the series with Shion Sonozaki, so don't know how she compares.

Here are some of my nominations.

- Lucy from Elfen Lied
- Sakura from Fate/stay night
- Himemiya Chikane from Kannazuki no Miko
- Yuna Miyama from Maburaho (as she seemed in the end)
- Akane Tendo from Ranma (sweet girl, but a violent maniac, per Kasumi)
- Kaede Fuyou from Shuffle (during her breakdown)

Akane isn't a yandere though, she's an unusual tsundere. And she isn't really scary.

Shion is from Higurashi, where every female character (and possibly the males as well) is a potential yandere. In any case its probably the creepiest anime I've ever seen, with the first arc being the best of them.

I haven't really found her that frightening but there's also Kafuka Fuura from SZS. If the show wasn't so wacky and humorous she'd probably earn a status as even creepier than any Higurashi-girl.

Also Isono Machi in MPD Psycho, after the mindwipe. Not really yandere but still...

And I'll throw in Roberta with her current state of mind. Though I think she's way past yandere.

I'll throw my vote in with Gasai Yuno. Normally with yandere, the main object of her affections is pretty much safe unless he upsets her somehow, but with Yuno...
