ôBreed me.ö

ôWh-WHAT?!ö If Naruto had been freaked before, he was downright panicked now.

ôBreed me, Naruto-kun,ö Hanabi repeated. ôI can produce many healthy children, so-ô

Naruto had heard enough. None of the fights heÆd ever been in in his entire life had scared him as much as this conversation was right now. Desperate to get away, he rapidly performed a series of hand seals and shouted, ôKawarimi no jutsu!ö

Hanabi blinked once as she found herself hugging her bed pillow instead of Naruto. Turning around, she frowned as she noticed him now crouched on the head of her bed, glancing around rapidly. ôNaruto-kunàö Her voice was no longer (what she thought was) a sexy purr, instead reflecting the mixture of annoyance and exasperation she felt.

A small part of NarutoÆs mind idly noted that heÆd botched that jutsu rather badly, since it was meant to be done silently and without drawing notice. The much larger portion of his brain, however, was trying to juggle the tasks of finding a way to get the hell out of there, and not touch, or even look at, HanabiÆs naked body. Both of which were going to be difficult, as she was now between him and the dooràand had just thrown away the pillow sheÆd been left holding, once again putting her body on display for him. He didnÆt have anymore time to think, however, as a knock at the door made him yelp and leap up. ôNaruto-kun? Hanabi-chan? WhatÆs going on in there?ö Shizune hadnÆt stopped speaking before she started to open the door.

That was the last straw for NarutoÆs panicked mind. Just the thought of a grownup catching him with a naked little girl was enough to make him completely throw caution to the wind in favor of escape. Leaping at the roomÆs sole window, he ripped the curtains apart, pushed the window open so hard it nearly broke, and threw himself out of it with all the strength he could muster, not caring for an instant if anyone saw him vaulting out of a fourth-story window.

Shizune, having entered just in time to see the end of NarutoÆs wild flight, looked on with wide eyes, which got even wider as she noticed the naked child glaring at the now-empty window. Completely stunned, the medical ninja managed to vocalize the first thought that crossed her mind. ôWhat the hell is going on???ö

* * * * *

ôYou told him to WHAT?!ö

After Naruto had fled the apartment, Shizune had told Hanabi to get dressed and then explain what had happened. After putting dinner literally on the back-burner while the Hyuuga heiress put her clothes back on, the two women were now sitting at the small table in the middle of the apartment, where Hanabi had unabashedly confessed to what sheÆd said.

ôTo breed me.ö HanabiÆs face was once again the perfect expressionless mask that so many of her clan wore. Or rather, it was almost expressionless, as she couldnÆt completely hide her growing annoyance of how Shizune seemed to be following NarutoÆs example and descending in hysterics. ôI wanted him to have sex with me and get me pregnant.ö

For Shizune, the sheer number of things that were wrong with what Hanabi had just said were so numerous that when she tried to articulate them a moment later, she unsuccessfully tried to say them all at once, resulting in her spewing nearly thirty secondÆs worth of gibberish.

When her brain finally caught up with her mouth, and she realized that ôNaruto babies protection love hormones young adoption instincts molesting abortion statutory marriage puberty diseases UNDERAGE!!!ö was in fact not an actual sentence, she finally managed to calm herself down somewhatàenough so that she no longer looked like she was about to hyperventilate herself into unconsciousness, at least.

Finally managing to collect herself, Shizune tried again. ôHanabi-chan, youÆre too young to have sex, let alone have a baby!ö

ôNo IÆm not. IÆm eleven years old, and IÆve been menstruating since I was nine, meaning that IÆm fertile and able to bear children.ö There wasnÆt any heat in HanabiÆs voice, just cold logic, still wearing a slightly irked expression.

ôHanabiàö The degree to which Shizune felt uncomfortable having this conversation was immeasurable. Was this what it was like for all members of the Hyuuga clan when they had to give their kids ôthe talk?ö

ôListen, having sex is a huge step in a girlÆs life, and becoming a mother is even larger. ItÆs becoming completely responsible for someone elseÆs life, and it means putting that life ahead of your own, twenty-four hours a day for as long as you live. ItÆs more responsibility than most adults can handle, let alone children. To say nothing of how difficult a pregnancy would be at your age! And that itÆs illegal for him to do that with you!ö

ôI understand.ö

ôAnd furthermore itàwait, you do?ö Shizune could almost feel the sense of hope rising in her, and started to mentally pat herself on the back. She wasnÆt such an excellent medical ninja for nothing!

ôI just donÆt care.ö Shizune slumped over, hitting her head on the table as HanabiÆs words destroyed her sense of self-satisfaction.

ôHanabi-chan, listen-ô

ôNo, you listen. IÆm a Konoha ninja, just like you, and because of that, the only thing I care about is restoring Konoha.ö Hanabi was still speaking in the same soft tones, but now the iron was audible in her voice, and her pale eyes seemed to almost glow with determination.

ôYou heard what Naruto-kun told us, Shizune-oneechan. We need to raise an army and destroy the Sound Country for what they did to us. Only then can we restore our village.ö Hanabi paused to give Shizune a penetrating look. ôHave you thought about where weÆre supposed to get this army from, oneechan?ö

Shizune shifted as her discomfort grew, knowing where this conversation was heading. ôI wasnÆtàI meanàö

ôWe havenÆt seen any of our people since we came here. And IÆve heard you telling Naruto time and again that itÆd be a foolÆs errand to go searching for them, since we donÆt know where to look and itÆd just call attention to us. We donÆt have enough money to hire mercenaries, and the other ninja villages wonÆt attack an established power on behalf of a defeated village.ö

Shizune looked down, unable to refute any of that. SheÆd been thinking about this as well, and knew how bleak things looked regarding KonohaÆs future resurrection. Hanabi continued, ôAnd even if we did find other Konoha shinobi, would it be enough? The jounins and ANBU stayed behind, which means they probably all died. And itÆs foolish to think that everyone who fled survived either.ö

ôShizune, the only way weÆre ever going to have enough people to strike back against the Sound is if we have children, lots and lots of children. WeÆll have many, and train them to be excellent ninjas, and send them out to find other survivors, whom I can guarantee you will be doing the same thing. Then, weÆll lead them into battle, and reclaim our home.ö

ôItÆs not that simple. You canÆt just expect to start squeezing out kids one after another and make an army that way.ö Shizune could hear the desperation in her voice, but even she didnÆt know if it was to try and convince Hanabi that she was wrong, or convince herself that Hanabi was wrong. Shizune had thought a lot about TsunadeÆs last words, once Naruto had confided in his housemates, and sheÆd eventually reached the same conclusion that Hanabi was espousing now. Unlike the young Hyuuga, however, Shizune didnÆt quite feel ready to stop searching for alternatives yet.

ôIt is that simple. IÆm a woman of Konoha, and this is my duty. For that matter, itÆs your duty too, and I havenÆt seen you trying to warm his bed.ö

Feeling her face turn red, Shizune couldnÆt help but wonder just where Hanabi had even learned expressions like that. Were kids becoming perverted at a younger age these days, or was Hanabi just trying hard? Realizing that Hanabi was actually waiting for an answer to her last remark, Shizune fell back to a tried-but-true tactic sheÆd used whenever Tsunade had said something that was impossible to respond to: ignore it and change the subject. ôHanabi, IÆm not saying your idea isnÆt a viable one, itÆs just that you and Naruto arenÆt ready for this. If you could wait just three years, maybe then-ô

ôÆThree yearsÆ?ö Hanabi cut her off, her voice becoming even colder. ôÆThree yearsÆ? All that will happen in three years is that weÆll all become three years older. I can have four children in three years, Shizune! This is going to take decades, and we need to start now!ö

ôWell Naruto-kun didnÆt seem so eager to start now, did he?!ö Shizune felt bad about the way she snapped at the girl, but the frustration sheÆd been feeling this entire time had finally reached its peak. She hated that she was losing an argument about sex to an eleven year-old, and she hated even more than it was because said eleven year-old was right and she was wrong, driving her to lash out at Hanabi to make her shut up. ôHe ran away from you like you burned him!ö

ôI thought heÆd find me attractive!ö ShizuneÆs words had finally hit a sore point, and now it was HanabiÆs turn to start yelling. ôI thought men liked girls like me!ö

Silence reigned in the apartment in the wake of the youngest HyuugaÆs outburst for several moments. Hanabi was looking down, her hands clenched into fists and an upset look on her face. For the first time it occurred to Shizune that HanabiÆs feelings had probably been hurt by the full-on rejection Naruto had given to her clumsy advances. After all, no girl liked to feel unattractive.

ôHanabi-chan, what didàI mean, why wouldàö Shizune stumbled over the question, trying not to give Hanabi a backhanded insult in asking why she thought that. Her voice died away as Hanabi wordlessly got up and went back to her room. Shizune had just enough time to start feeling guilty for how sheÆd treated the girl, when Hanabi came back and plunked several books on the table.

ôBecause of these. I know men like big boobs and long legs, but I was doing some research on how toàbe sexy,ö her voice turned into a mumble as she hurried over the last two words, embarrassed despite herself, ôand I found these. So I know that men must like girls like me also, right?ö

Curious, Shizune picked up the first book, then balked as she read the title. "'Daughters of LustÆ?! This is a lolicon manga!!!ö

ôI got some novels too.ö

Horrified, Shizune looked through the rest of the pile, her voice slowly rising to an outraged shriek as she read the titles. ôÆGrade School VixensÆ?! æNaughty Ninja-Girls in Training?!Æ æLOLI LOLI PARADISEÆ?!?!ö

ôThat last one was particularly helpful. It said that letting him know that I wanted to be æknocked upÆ was a great way to-ô

Hanabi trailed off as Shizune slammed the books down with a growl. She silently swore that if Jiraiya had survived the destruction of Konoha, and she ran into him again, sheÆd make him wish heÆd died there! ôYou arenÆt old enough to be reading these yet! How did you even buy these in the first place?! YouÆre not even supposed to leave the house!ö

Becoming slightly upset again, Hanabi frowned at the older woman. ôRelax, I put the eye drops in.ö

Before arriving in the Stone Country, it had become necessary to address the problem of HanabiÆs eyes. The unusual color would make her stand out, and clearly mark her as carrying the Hyuuga bloodline limit of byakugan, making her a target for ninjas everywhere.

Naruto had wanted to teach Hanabi how to use the henge no jutsu to disguise herself, but Shizune had overruled him. After all, any skilled shinobi would be able to detect a henge, and then theyÆd automatically be suspicious about why such a young girl was disguising herself to begin with, which would defeat the point.

Instead, Shizune had concocted a substance to temporarily dye HanabiÆs eyes. The mixture sheÆd used was a black poison sheÆd had on her when theyÆd fled Konoha. It was usually used to permanently blind enemies by throwing it in their eyes. But by using an extremely watered-down version, Shizune had been able to put a drop on each of HanabiÆs eyes, the substance coloring them black without damaging her sight. It naturally faded over a day though, and Shizune hadnÆt been able to acquire more of that particular poison yet, so Hanabi had been forced to ration the little sheÆd been given.

ôEven so, you shouldnÆt have left without telling either of us, and you especially shouldnÆt have bought these smutty books! I canÆt believe the bookshop owners were willing to sell these to a little girl!ö

ôI stole them,ö explained Hanabi, a mild frown still marking the extent to which ShizuneÆs outburst bothered her. ôIt would have been wasteful to spend our money on this. Besides, this is a part of my mission for Konoha, so it wasnÆt wrong.ö

One eyebrow twitching madly, Shizune bit her tongue to keep from castigating the girl again. Instead, she busied herself with putting the books on the highest shelf in the room, ignoring that that would probably be no barrier at all for the resourceful Hanabi.

ôShizune-oneechan.ö The medical ninja took a deep breath before she turned back to the younger girl.

ôYes?ö

ôThe books didnÆt work. Naruto-kun didnÆt want to breed with me.ö Hanabi couldnÆt meet ShizuneÆs eyes as she spoke, slightly ashamed that her first real mission for Konoha had, so far, been a failure.

Shizune opened her mouth to respond, but before she could Hanabi looked up and spoke again. ôShizune-oneechan, I need you to train me.ö

ôTrain you?ö Realizing that sheÆd long since lost any vestige of control over this conversation, Shizune could only guess at what Hanabi was talking about now. ôTrain you in what?ö

ôIn the womanly arts of seduction.ö

Author's Notes: I was going to work on an AMG fic idea I'd had, but I had this on the brain, so I ended up churning out the next part instead.

 Another great chapter. Oh, and once Naruto meets the other girls (he will meet the other girls right?) Naruto will be one busy guy. :snigger:

If this turns into a Hanabi lemon, I will read with train-wreck fascination. (Loli squicks me big time, but I can be flexible in the name of a good read. e.g., I don't like boy-boy stuff either, but Teamwork is just too awesome not to like.)

I still see there being plenty of room for "ha ha only serious" comedy, like what's already there. There should definitely be more of that, whether it goes lemon or not.

Either way, more please!

Edit: I forgot to mention this, but Hanabi might have another valid reason for wanting to "breed." She's of the Hyuuga Main Family. It's likely that Hiashi and/or the rest of the Main impressed upon her the need to continue the Hyuuga line. For all she knows, she's the last living Hyuuga, and by luck or coincidence, one of the most likely to have offspring with dominant Hyuuga characteristics. Thus, she considers it her responsibility to ensure that the Hyuuga clan becomes numerous again - ergo, to start crankin' out the kids ASAP.

It doesn't have to become a lemon, but having some lemon parts or side stories would be good.

Well any good 'lemon' story, it might be possible to take out the lemon bits and it would still be a great story. Hawker's recent story might be the exception though. Anyways, as long as it is good, no need for a lemon. :p

And toreneko does bring up an interesting notion. Since Hanabi is the designated sucessor of the Hyuuga main line, then it would be on her shoulders to revive her clan. Which could get interesting of Hinata or even Neji is found. :snigger:

I'm on the fence about this becoming a lemon or not. I didn't have any particular plans to make this a lemon fic, but it seems to be shaping up that way - the usual "sex comedy" antics (where one or more characters are running around desperately trying to get some) seems like it'd wear out pretty fast here.

Regarding the bit about Hanabi breeding and her standing among the Hyuuga...I was actually going to address that in this chapter, but the story just sort of wrote itself away from the topic. I'll hopefully deal with that to some degree in the next part of the fic.

Great, just plain great, keep it coming. Oh and loli doesn't squick me in the slightest, I don't care either way if this becomes a lemon or not, I'd like it either way, and having Naruto go around gathering all the women (from Konoha or not) that he could find to literally 'raise' an army of his own would be frickin' awesome.

If I do make this a lemon (a distinct possibility at this point), it'll almost definately have a Naruto/Hanabi scene. Lolicon material doesn't even make me blink (in fact, I find that there's a lot of that that I like), and given the nature of this fic so far, if it goes that route, there's not really a plausible way to avoid those two screwing.

Looking over some information, I realized that I screwed up the timeline a little as well. I wrote that Orochimaru's attack with the Sand was two years ago. However, when Hanabi was introduced (somewhat prior to that), she was seven. Assuming she had her birthday between her introduction and the attack, then after two years, she'd be ten. I suppose you could say it was more than two years, and with the four months of traveling, then maybe it could have just been her birthday again...that's pushing it though.

It's mostly close enough... wouldn't be that hard to edit it slightly though.

Hmm. If he was banned, then how come his username is still... um, clickable? At least when the other guy was banned, he became an unregistered name. Though I do see that his avatar has also disappeared...

Banned? For what?

Anyway given into account that kids in the Naruto world kill as early as six i think different rules apply here.

As far as I know, and I should know, only one...

I guess humanoid individual is a somewhat appropriate term for what he/she/it was, has ever been banned and that was aaaaaages ago.

Yes, Arcadios was that bad.

The small mercy was that he didn't post a lot, but almost anything he did was... -_- I really hated his avatar too.

And, DKG, very amusing title. :p You guys should know that if DKG was banned, it wouldn't be his 'title' it would be his 'group'.

Well, I say in the end, write it as the story demans, Alz. I'm flexible in what I'll enjoy, if the writing's good, and thus far yours is pretty good. I could deal with a Naruto/Hanabi lemon as long as it's not some cliche PWP-ish thing.

Basically, what I'm saying is, try to keep the required level of suspension of disbelief by the audience to a minimum. So far, I'd say you're doing well at that.

I gotta wonder about something, though... wouldn't Konoha's ninja have contingency measures for finding each other, even in such dire circumstances as this? And wouldn't they at least teach it to the chuunin? Hmm... if they don't teach it to genin (leaving out Naruto and Hanabi), and Shizune has spent too much time on the road with Tsunade or in the ER to have learned it, that could be why they don't know how to find anyone.

I also wonder how long it would be before the trio would be considered officially KIA by the other Konoha survivors.

Heheh. Hanabi's likely answer to Shizune's questions about her plans to care for the children: "You're a nurse, aren't you?" :snigger:

You made me curios about this "humanoid" what did he do that was so horible?

Anyway back to the topic. So far we know only about chuunin escaping, any chances we'll see familiar faces around?

I don't see Asuma dieing so easily and Shizune being a jounin and escaping sets a precedent. Would be fun to see a bunch of bearded lazy kids around. (Not even going over to Shikamaru)

Well, as far as precedent goes, bear in mind that Shizune would have stayed with Tsunade until the end if Naruto hadn't carried her out of there.

I just wanted to double-check this list of Konoha women. Sakura, Ino, Hinata, and Tenten are the main four. There's also Tsunade, Shizune, Kurenai, and Anko for older women. The remainder then seems to consist of Ayame (the Ichiraku girl), Moegi (Konohamaru's friend), and Hanabi. Are there any others I've missed?

If i remember more i'll post them.

Ah, thanks, I did forget about them. Yuugao and the Inuzuki women had such minor roles (at least as far as the anime's concerned) that they were easy to forget. Yuugao always seemed like the closest thing Kakashi would have to a girl.

Regarding the Inuzuki women though...leaving aside the dearth of information, I don't trust myself to write about them. That's because I consider it a little odd how there are these rather attractive women with no men in their lives, but very large, male dogs. I just know I wouldn't be able to write about them without at least mentioning the issue of bestiality.

I said she seemed like the closest thing Kakashi has to a girl because after Hayate's death, she seems to speak most freely and easily with Kakashi, which is (to the best of my knowledge) the closest we ever see Kakashi to a woman.

The fact that I also completely forgot that she was engaged to Hayate could also explain why I made that statement. ^_^
