I have returned, and I come bearing NEW STUFF!!! Chekc it out, I just got all of this tonight.

The whole haul.

My two foot tall Rei figure, the jewel of my collection.

My boxed Rei figure.

My boxed Asuka figure.

My standalone Asuka figure along with my boxed Units-00 and 02 in the background.

My full set of Eva cast in miniatures.

A rare set of Ah My Goddess! figures around a miniature racecar.

My set of love Hina figures, beach style.

Some of the smaller figures I picked up, the two in back are Eva and the two in front are Love Hina.

From left to right there is: Eva Unit-00, Hikari (Gym Class ver.), Eva Unit-01 (note the defect, the upside-down warning label at the bottom of the box), Asuka (Gym Class ver.), and Eva Unit-02.

Once again, from left to right there is: Unit-01, Asuka, and Unit-02, which were shown in the last shot, but new in this one are Rei (Gym Class ver.) and Eva Unit-04.

This is a limited edition of Trigun busts that are, from left to right: Legato, Millie, Vash, Wolfwood, Black Vash, Knives, and Domino (I think that's her name anyway.)

And here is just a wide shot of all the small figures arranged around each other.

Try and guess how much all of this cost me.

What do you guys think?

Very Nice! I Advise you lock them away in a High Security Vault so no cousins, nieces or nephews come by and play with them, a few seconds inattention and maybe Rei ir Urd might have their heads bitten off.

Nice once again.

Heh, thanks, and I don't have any relatives within half a country of me so I'm pretty secure as far as that goes, not to mention these are all going on a high wall shelf far out of little kids' reach.

Heh, nope, just try and guess how much I paid for this whole haul, I'll give you a hint, a friend of a friend was shutting down his anime store and he decided to give my friend first pick through the stuff at wholesale prices, I tagged along, we see how that turned out. You should have seen me on the way home with a box of stuff bigger than me in the seat next to me, clutching the Rei figure to my chest like it was the Holy Grail, and yelling at my friend to watch those speedbumbs and take his turns slower, ah fun times.

I envy you, Israfel. I wish I had the kind of hard cash that would allow me to buy a small mountain's worth of anime collectables, even if it was only at wholesale prices.

Heh, I had a hunch you were somehow able to get a discount on them...

How much did you end up having to shell out, even with the discount?

Just curious, what is the difference between wholesale and retail prices? Just wondering what the profit margin was like for these guys...

Wholesale is essentially what a dealer would pay buying them straight from the manufacturer, retail is what we pay in stores after the dealer has jacked up the prices so as to gain profit. As for how much I payed, that will remain a secret until I get some decent guesses as to how much, I want to see what you guys guess for this. Also how much do you think you would have to pay were you to get all of these off Ebay or something? I'm curious as to just how much all of this is actually worth.

I do know the diff between wholesale and retail prices. <_< I was just curious as to how big the difference was.

I am guessing a 50% discount at least. I am not sure how prices go in your area....but I estimate about $500 - $600? :huh.: Net retail value should be roughly $2000?

Wow. Even after all this time Eva is still one of my absolute favorite animes. I would gladly kill people to get that haul. Those A!MG figures're cute, don't think I've seen them before.

Anyways, glowing green with envy as I am, congrats on the good fortune on getting that haul.

Ah okay, well let's just say the difference is pretty fucking huge on this one.

Really, I could get that much for all of it?!? Nice! And I'll say how much I got it for after I wrangle GH and F1 into commenting and guessing a price as they would probably know the most about this kind of thing.

very sweet haul Israfel

I especially liked the Ah Megami Sama chibis (soooo cute!) and the Trigun busts (woot! Domino the Cyclops gets some fig love!).
The Eva selection was also very good.
As for LH, nice swimsuit selection... but what were those in the separate boxes about?

Oh you mean the two Naru's in the boxes? The guy I was buying from just tossed those in for free since Kanako was missing her stand.

Heh... not bad... Not much for figures and the like myself (although I've run across quite a few exceptions), but it's quite a large bundle you've brought in.

As for a guess... Hmm... meh, $500? I'm too lazy to try and come up with the figures of it all at the moment. But depending on whether or not those things are out of print (No, obviously, since you bought them out of a store, wholesale or not), as stated before, you could probably net a tidy sum through ebay and the like. Although, that would be quite tedious.

Hmm...

*does some multiple equations, fries his brain, reworks more equations, refries said brain*

Uhh... $450-600 ish...

*dies from brain fry-ing*

Heh. Not much of a figures fan. Though I admit, if I had the money, I would buy all that too. :unsure!: Obviously, given that I have no figures to talk about, the answer to that is... nope, no money here.

And of course, anything AMG related... :p~

What little money I do have is spent on DVDs. Right now I'm saving up for a new laptop to get rid of this old junker. <_<

As for hte price of this very nice collection... honestly, wouldn't even be able to guess. $500-600 might be my guess but, well, I'm not that good at guessing.

Won't your friend be banging his balls if he found out that you are auctioning off the stuff he sold you at a discount for a respectable profit on ebay? :p

Actually a lot of that stuff is out of print, the large Eva's in the background are all the first series releases which are out of print, the ones laying down in front of those (with the gym figures on top) are the second releases of that series and are also out of print, the Ah! Megami Sama set is way out of print and really rare, I nearly had to pay my left arm for that, the Trigun busts are way out of print also as they were released for a limited time as a special promo, not to mention that the Black Vash and Wolfwood busts are rarer than all the rest of them put together, and of course there's my humongous Rei statue which is also out of print. See this guy didn't just run a commercial anime store, he specifically made his store as a place where, as he put it, "you could find rare anime figures for decent prices", so he did a lot of collecting on the side to find some of the rarest stuff, I personally know for a fact that I could sell that Rei statue alone for an easy $500 right now.

Huh, in that case any estimations I could come up with would go right out the window. I'd rather not even try to guess in that case. Oh well. But either way...

You're luck is quite exceptional. ;) Good haul.

*Brain re-works itself back to correct thought process and revives The Unknown One*

Damn... that is like daylight robbery. $380 for all of that. I must say... I am impressed. :hail: :hail:
