Just... what the hell is this thing about, anyway?

Perusing through the threads so far have given me nothing but a headache.

One of you, please explain this to me?

Straight from the "Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN" Wiki:
What is "Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN"?

Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN (often called BvS) is a browser based RPG very loosely based on the popular anime series Naruto. You have the ability to create your own ninja with the bloodline of your choice, go on missions, advance in rank, advance your skills in genjutsu, ninjutsu, taijutsu, and doujutsu arts, and gather allies along the way. While playing the game can be simple enough, it has reached a point where there is literally so many things that a character can do or attain that a Wiki was required!
That's about the basic description. As a parody, you'll find lots of things to laugh at whether it's from the basic instructions
Allies
Your buddies. Put them on your team. Stab people. It's awesome.
-The Ally names (Emosuke, Pinky, Bruce Jr. & Sr.), or some of the mission descriptions.

-The mission and monster descriptions (they can reference everything from Princess Bride to Team Fortress to Legend of the Hidden Temple)

Join for the humor, stay for the well-thought out content. Not all the content in the game is the same "Click on mission, pass, get stuff" mechanic with a palette swap. There's also Zombies to fight, Party House games to win, and giant marauding Monsters to beat up on.

it's like neopets
Maybe when Kaijumon come out?

Fixed.
Whoa, that was a little bit big.

@Shark - You create a character, and level up while completing several objectives. Note that solo play is discouraged while team play is rewarded.

That said, please join one of the TFF villages (listed below). You'll want to start in a Tier 2 village, so don't chose a bold red one.

I count 31 - Immortal Realms in bold green said:
  • 3rd Eye
  • Athenaeum
  • Bloodstone
  • Citrus
  • Dai Gurren
  • Demolished
  • Endless
  • Godaime
  • Hakurei
  • Hyougen
  • Jeuno
  • Marauder
  • Mewtwo
  • Neo Kaiju
  • Nyx
  • Pasta
  • Pirates
  • RPG
  • ScarletP
  • SRW OG
  • Tenkyouin
  • TFF II
  • TFF Zero
  • That
  • The Epic
  • Tokyo 3
  • Toxic
  • UNIT
  • University
  • Vale
  • WildKat

Your command of the english language astounds me

@Left Shoe: I don't understand. What's an Immortal Realm? Why is ScarletP pink? What's the difference between Tier 2 and Tier 3? And why couldn't you crop Megas?

Tier 3 Immortal Realms are the highest level villages can reach. Tier 2 villages cannot summon Major Kaiju (things that the whole village fights against for monster drops, but Major Kaiju are harder better faster and stronger), but can do most everything else that Tier 3 villages can.

ScarletP being pink is a ScarletP thing. Don't think about it.

Like SEG said, ScarletP Village is pink because that's their theme. It's a running joke.

Why didn't I crop the Megas XLR pic? I realize it's sllightly too big, but it's not ZOMG-massive.

What's an Immortal Realm? Okay, that takes a bit to explain:

- A village is a team of up to 49 players, and one leader (total of 50).

- All villages start out as Tier 1 villages, until they buy the village upgrade Natural Resource Facility (NRF). At this point, they become Tier 2 villages, and a great deal of new stuff becomes available for them.

- In order to buy village upgrades, you need resources. In order to get resources, you must invade other villages.
NOTE: Tier 1 Villages cannot invade nor be invaded by Tier 2 or Tier 3 villages.
Similarly, Tier 2 Villages cannot invade nor be invaded by Tier 1 or Tier 3 villages.
Go figure that Tier 3 villages cannot invade nor be invaded by Tier 1 or Tier 2 villages.

- When the village leader completes the Impossible Mission, then the village "blows up" and ceases to exist. HOWEVER, the village leader becomes a "Kaiju player", and only Kaiju players can found a new type of village called an Immortal Realm.

- Immortal Realms fall into the same catergories of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. But, because those village leaders have the ability to create their own resources, they tend to become powerful fairly quickly.

You walk up to the Genin Exam, ready to go.

Flipper, the Genin Exam Proctor, waves at you. "Hey there, ThatShark, are you ready for a long and involved tutorial?"

You aren't, so you punch him in the junk. Right in the junk.

*koff* *koff* "Agh, what the crap! ackk.. *koff* okay, okay, just check out the Manual when you get a chance.. you can do it from your Main Page.. agh.. *fwump*
He was going to say more, but he collapsed. Oh well. You grab him by the collar and drag him off to do some Missions.
Well. I am kind of disappointed about the lack of obligatory tutorial, but uh... now I just pick a non-colored village off that list at random, right?

Don't worry about the obligatory tutorial, that comes in the form of the "Three Day Tour" Quest. The BvS Wiki has a lot of helpful stuff, and your fellow villagers and those of us here can help as well.

I'd suggest 3rd Eye, Jeuno, or Vale. AFAIK those are the more active Tier 1/2 non-Immortal Realm villages on that list. A Tier 3 IR is actually better for a new player (because they tend to have almost everything, which equals more Stamina and other fun benefits), but you wouldn't be able to join one until Chunin Rank.
