I haven't gotten an alert for ANY story I'm 'subscribed' to for almost two weeks now...and I haven't gotten any review alerts either, even though I'm 100% sure I recievied some.

I know that alerts have been down before, but this is refuckingdiculous.

It does this from time to time. let it pass.
I don't have much to do BUT let it pass.

Sigh. Freakin' hate it when it does this. I'll wake up some morning to 200+ e-mail's. Gah.

Best thing is, it seems that you can't even report it anymore. Support.fanfiction.net doesn't even seem to be there anymore.

I noticed that a while ago. I tried to report a plagurizer, alongsie of a couple (hundred) of my readers, and he's still there. He deleted his story manually, but he'll try it again. I'm watching him...

I'll wake up one morning, find my box jammed with about 500 emails. About 100 will be reviews, 300 will be C2 addons, 40 will be updates (if I feel optimistic) and 59 will be people nagging about me not updating.

1 will be from a real life person! :yay:

Now I go sleepy... maybe I'll actually get mail today!

Probably not. The support site has been gone for months. But last time I checked only the founder worked on the site. Things are bound to be slow when you only have one person doing everything for a site that massive.

It might be because the upload function did not work for about that time period.

Yeah, but I found a way around that to post a new chapter. Now the upload is back up but the email bot is down again.

Last time I got any mail from FFN was 15 days ago. Two weeks without a single frikken update where I usually get at least 3-4 a day? No'wai sir.

Maybe the FFN staff was struck down by a bad case of plague, aggressive ninja-pirate-zombie-robot-marmosets or just rotten luck.

Still, ANY kind of mainsite update explaining what's up would be nice indeed.

Sigh. I'm really hoping it gets fixed soon. I'm not a patient individual, and chapter 10 is halfway to completion...but I don't want to post it until alerts are back up.

I wonder if the site really is dying? I mean, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, really...it's a great site and all, but there are just so many logisitical factors as well as exasperation and money and...oye. I can't even begin to imagine what running a site THAT large would be like.

It'd be nice if the creator dude ran a blog at least or something, so we knew what was going on.

There was supposed to be some major blow-up that took their best guy (ShinjitheGoodSharer said it was about posting OpenOffice on the site). As for the alerts, I just check the Ranma page once a day to see what gets posted.

But for many of us who have alerts from more than that, it is almost impossible to check for other updates, especially since Naruto seems to have a hundred new postings a day.

The support page is gone. We just have to hope they can restaff. Because I seriously do not want to deal with mediaminer more than I have to.

I just started getting Alerts again, so that problem has been resolved.

The 73 FF.net emails I received this morning say that the e-mail is back up
