Actually, I think Kanako might end up being the closest thing to someone that can help Keitaro in this scenario. Really she'd end up being his version of Temari more than a victim. Temari was kind of the bridge that actually talked to Gaara and could get him to listen, no matter how infrequently. Kanako would have even more control over Keitaro of the sand trusted her not to hurt him.

Or was Gaara reincarnated as Keitaro (thats kinda warped in and of itself) and Shukaku was dragged along for the ride? I'm with the others on the Kanako issue. Call me fanboy all you like, I just like the pairing so no squishy death for her :angry: Looking forward to the reaction Motoko might have, her being from a school of swordsmenship dedicated to demon hunting (or was that just fanon/anime and not a manga fact? I'm missing some volumes and haven't read them in awhile) Assuming she lives long enough after her first attack to HAVE a reaction.

That's how Kasumi describes Akane in the Ranma 1/2 manga. The thing is, its an accurate descrition. Both of them really are very nice girls, who also happen to be violent maniacs.

Which volume? I only have the first, but I haven't read it all yet (only got to the part where Akane just walked in on now-male Ranma when I had to put it down, misplaced it and haven't taken the time to finish it now that I've found it).

First volume. Kasumi calls Akane that right after Ranma wakes up from being knocked unconscious with the table. That would be... page 55, if you have the same volume as me. It's just near the end of chapter two.

However, I'm kind of unsure if that was the actual translation into English... Oh well.

I tend to put Naru in the "girl who cares but is too scared to show it and doesn't really know her own strength and besides the natural reaction to pervertedness even when not done on purpose is to hit the pervert right" category, while Akane is the "violent maniac girl who I wish would fucking sit down and listen to someone oh and stop being such a big-headed paranoid freak while she's at it".
