Bleach Spare Time

Basically a thread for weird hobbies that any character in Bleach can have. And nothing obvious either, like experimentation for Mayuri or something. Something that simply isn't obvious or hasn't been used before that can be added to a fic for quite a twist... such as...

Nanao: Mangaka. Utterly random, but it could be quite an interesting twist for her. She does seem the type to take deadlines very seriously.

Gin: Gambling. His pokerface must be downright deadly. h43r:

And you get the picture. I questioned which thread to put this in, but frankly these are to be used as ideas for fics, so I figured this was the best choice. Can be cracky or serious in nature, but frankly I see more being cracky here. :huh.:

Anyway for some other ones...

Mayuri: Psychology. That guy would be a scary scary shrink. So would Yachiru now that I think about it.

Hitsugaya: Extreme sports, particularly Snowboarding and Skiing (or however you spell it). For the guy who's always so serious. :snigger:

Also in memory of a rather fun thread, a videogame addiction.

Unohana: Cake making. Just for the fun of going crazy in the kitchen. And then of course getting someone to try it out. Like Hanatarou. Also adding her onto the gambling wagon could be fun too. :sisi:

Byakuya: Disco Fever. Like that one rather funny image of him suddly getting disco clothes on after the ones trying to take his picture left.

And so on and so forth... Go wild.

The point is to make it up. Just because one is already listed doesn't mean you can't add another one. Heck, I have Unohana with two, one of which is what I also had for Gin. Hitsugaya had two too. Just match a character up with a not so obvious activity it might be interesting for them to enjoy. I thought the OP made that clear, but I guess not... :huh.:

Isane: Jogging (If only because it's a delicious mental image... Boing, boing...)

Unohana - Kama Sutra(similar to what ceyx said), dancing(not necessarily stripdancing tho she might see it as a dance to learn anyway)

Byakuya - kid games using Shinigami skills(he's scarily good at tag but Yoruichi always beats him)

Hitsugaya - karaoke(Matsumoto is to blame, or so he claims)

Gin - painting(someone as psycho and scary as Gin painting landscape and still-life is lulzy)

Aizen - cooking(it's all about manipulation of ingredients)

Mayuri - piano music(no idea why)

Aizen: Doujin writing. He picked it up quite a long time ago, and hasn't quite picked up that what others mean and what he means are two very different things.

Tousen: Bottle stacking. It's not only a balance game for him, it's also a memory game. Prefers glass bottles for the challenge inherent to the material.

Gin: "Inspirational" writing. Leaves the results anonymously for the subject to find. Has mastered the art of phrasing things in such a way that you're never quite certain if you've just been insulted, or are just reading too much into it.

Urahara: Fan Translations. Translates anything, sometimes having never seen the material before. However, he usually just does a workable job for most things.

Yoruichi: Plays with drunks. Mostly by singing. In cat form. Couldn't carry a tune in a bucket normally, but is a non-pareli as a cat. Offers to sing for Urahara for just this reason.

One of the few people good enough with Shunpo to regularly practice against herself.


Anyways...

Kuukaku: Calligraphy. One wouldn't expect much similarity between explosives and calligraphy, but in either art, one errant twitch, and KABLOOIE!! Though at least with calligraphy, a screw-up won't cost her another arm.

Hanatarou: Boxing. Who would have expected little Hanatarou had a killer right hook? Plus, who would expect to actually fight a guy with a face like that?

Soi Fong: Striptease. The few people who know of this have sworn never to speak of it, on pain of... excruciating pain, followed by a very slow death. Except Yoruichi, but she finds the irony too amusing to ruin by telling everyone.

Ururu: Breakdancing. When the music starts pumping, Ururu can bust out moves that leave some of the best crying for their mommies. Not what you'd think a little girl like her would do to unwind, huh? Then again, with Urahara as a father figure, you shouldn't exactly expect her to be normal.

Kenpachi: Singing. What? Just because his favourite thing to do is to fight, doesn't mean everything he does has to do with fighting. He's actually got a pretty good singing voice; ask Yumichika.

Kinda random rezzing on my part, but I recently read something and the most brilliant thing entered my head for this.

Komamura: Love Doctor. I don't know why it works so well, but damn if the image isn't hilarious. Dog man anonymously giving single or matched male and female shinigami skillful love advice just seems to work.

While I'm at it:

Don Kanonji-Children's Card Games and/or Video games in general. Also a mean card shark.

Isshin-Role Playing Games and DMing, with Urahara (Who also loves to DM) and Ryuuken whenever he can, though Yoruichi pops up every now and again with Tessai and occasionally Ururu (Who is unnaturally skilled. DM'd once, and they all died so fast and brutally they never let her do it again). Kyoraku and Ukitake may also pop in now and again with Unohana, to complete the old school crowd. And maybe even the Don (Though not when it can be avoided). A fic with one such game may be required for this crowd...

Chad-Pottery and Gardening (Is very skilled obviously, though his pots tend to be much larger than normal).

Nemu: Cosplay. Weird ones too.

Squad 11: WoW. Just because seeing them all sitting down and grinding it out seems lulzy. Particularly Yachiru. Lord knows how they interact with each other in there. With a full party of Leeroy Jenkins, they might never get anything done.
