I've just come back from seeing The Amazing Spider-Man, and I was wondering something: Has there been a story where instead of Uncle Ben dying, it's Aunt May?

Either comic or fanfic is fine, with the following caveats: I can only read English and would like the story to have a decent standard of spelling and grammar; formatting matters; I have very little knowledge of Marvel continuity and may require primers.

Can anyone help me out?

Actually, yeah. There was a What If issue from the 2000s, pretty recent, which talked about that.

I was linked to some of those, but they didn't seem to be quite what I was looking for.

Possibly because one had crossover bleed with the 616 Universe.
