Star Wars Legacy

So, seeing as a quick perusal didn't show any thread anywhere for this I thought I'd make one.

For those who don't know, Star Wars: Legacy is a Dark Horse comic book series that in the first volume followed the adventures of Cade Skywalker, Luke's great-great-grandson (at least). Cade was force sensitive, but at the opening of the series he'd largely rejected the Jedi path and was living as a bounty hunter and was a death-stick addict. Legacy followed him around for more or less 50 issues, a few spotlight and crossover issues notwithstanding, and then came Volume 2.

In Volume 2 we follow around the apparent Great-Great-Granddaughter of Han and Leia, Ania Solo. Now, for some reason, she's living on her own in the boonies in a junkyard, trying to get cash together and generally getting into trouble. She ends up doing much as you'd expect a Solo to do and gets involved with fighting galactic evil.

Now, MY question (and the thing that prompted me to make this thread, my enjoyment of Cade's shenanigans aside) is as follows: If I've got the math right Ania's Grandmother must have been Allana Solo, as she was the only Solo descendent of Han and Leia to keep the family name. Allana was the Crown Princess of the Hapes Consortium (an interstellar Empire) and prophesied Jedi queen or somesuch rot. How does the granddaughter of such a person, who MUST at least be somewhat noticeable on the succession chart, end up running a scrap yard in the middle of nowhere?

Most likely the same way the son of a former Naboo Queen ended up living on a farm in the middle of a desert. Plus, IIRC, Cade wasn't exactly 'noticeable' either even though he descended from THE Jedi.

We got a reason for Cade being like that though, there was a whole tragic backstory going on. Nothing like that so far for Ania and we're about a year plus in, AND she seems to think she isn't related to Those Solos. She even makes reference to the fact that she isn't a Queen or a princess or something. It confuses and I'd like to know what happened.

Does Vol.2 take place concurrent with the events of vol.1, or some time after?

Volume 2 takes place in the aftermath of the Legacy: War mini which capped off all the ongoing plotlines from Volume 1. The big governmental entity is the Galactic Triumvirate set up at the end of War and the big bad is/are the remnants of Krayt's One Sith.
