Star Wars: Order 66, not as planned; Open AU Idea

I've been thinking of manually transferring my threads, or at least the OPs thereof, edited or not, from the old forum to here. Decided to start with this one.

Let us say that, due to some error in the bureaucracy, in the computers, or for some other reason, the Spaarti clones in the Grand Army of the Republic are not imprinted with all, or perhaps any, of the Contingency Orders. Either way, unknown to Chancellor Palpatine, they lack Order 66, and thus do not follow it, when it is issued. In fact, when the Kamino clones start attacking the Jedi, the Spaarti clones often start attacking the Kamino clones, and/or try to evacuate the Jedi.

Of course, the Spaarti clones are really not very competent, and a lot of the newer ones probably suffer from clone madness, but combat is very Darwinian, so the clones that survive longer will tend to be better at it, and might convey their experience to there younger brethren. Also, they greatly outnumber the Kamino clones, and quantity has a quality all its own. Further, some of the more independent Kamino clones also chose not to follow Order 66.

Thus, many Jedi survive (especially the ones who were nicer to the clones, and/or encouraged them to learn and improve themselves), saved by their lower-tier troops (and some few of the very high-tier ones), and the bulk of the GAR follows them. Optionally, the Jedi have a few slicers reprogramme and reactivate some of the droid armies and factories, increasing the number of canon fodder they have, as they attempt to liberate the galaxy from the tyrant, Palpatine.

So, thoughts?

wouldn't be funnier if order 65 was issued by a typo, error or faulty communication?
