No - nothing dramatic has happened on the forum (that I'm aware of) or in my personal life. It's just been ... well, a very long time since I logged in and having noticed that, have decided to step down from my position on staff.

So, I'm stepping down from my role as a moderator.

This does not mean that I'm going away. You'll still see me lurking around, making random posts ... etc as usual. Heck, if we get enough activity, I might volunteer for the role again in the future. It was a fun ride. And I enjoyed working with everyone on Staff - admins and other mods alike.

Perhaps it's just me, but between lurking here on the forum and on discord, I have the feeling that we have a lot of chatter in our discord room. It probably works for some folks, but I can't seem to bring myself to read fanfiction in discord. The snippets just feel too small.

These days, I find myself reading a lot of light novels. Mobusekai (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs) is my current favourite. Playing a lot of visual novels too. Just finished Cafe Stella a few weeks ago (at least the routes I cared for).

I want to write something ... but am having a hard time actually completing snippets. There is this really big plotline that I planned out for a Mobusekai AU fanficition and I've even got about 10k+ words into the prologue ... but ran out of steam. Yuck. (Actually - would anyone care to read what I wrote so far?)

ANYWAYS, I'm still around. Mostly lurking around on the interwebs. Getting distracted with manga rom-com videos on youtube. There is this creator called "Ayasaki-san" who's videos I find myself binge-watching. Nothing exceptional - but simple fluff that distracts me. :D

Again - I'll still be around. So if you've got any questions (or want to flame a former staff member) - feel free to reach out.

Thanks for reading my rant. And to all those who voted and/or supported me over the years - thank you so much! It's been a pleasure. :)

Well... That is an interesting development. Still, this forum has slowed a lot in the last few years, and it is not near as busy as it used to be.

As for Discord... I've experimented with going to it a few times both for TFF and a couple other sites on it, but to be quite frank and honest, it is not for me, I am entirely unimpressed with it as a whole... pure forums work better for me.

Over the last few years... I've been interested in a number of series, including the Trapped in a Dating Sim series you mentioned . The best of them IMHO include:

Anime only (I've not read the light novels for the below, only watched the anime):
- Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest.
- The Rising Of The Shield Hero.
- The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent.

Anime and Light Novel:
- 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!
- How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom.
- The Eminence in Shadow.
- The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt.
- Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs

Light Novel only:
- The Loners Life in Another World.

I wish you luck, and look forward to reading your Trapped in a Dating Sim story if you ever post it.

It's been good having you onboard the modstaff, and thanks for all that you've helped us out with! I'm glad you're still sticking around.

Well, it is what it is. You've put in the hours for over a decade, so it was a good run. As you admit, you haven't been very active lately (but TFF as a whole hasn't either, so it's not like it needed much moderation outside of zapping accounts that get reactivated for spamming because people were reusing passwords). But yeah, since you are back, however briefly, I do encourage you to post some more again!
