Suggestion: Give Iron Fic Its Own Forum

Before people cry, "Why the flaming fuck do we need MORE subforums!?", hear me out!

Iron Fic is now a staple of this forum, and it had gotten to be pretty popular on oTFF. A lot of people on nTFF and IRC have expressed a great deal of interest in participating this year, myself included.

Instead of writing stories for different fandoms, posting them in their appropriate subforums, and finally linking the threads to the IF submission thread, wouldn't it be so much simpler if we had one subforum that could handle prompts, submissions, and judgments all in one place?

I think that this should happen, mainly because we want to keep encouraging people to write, and Iron Fic is going to be a big part of that. It should be visible and able to be more easily organized.

Oh.

Well, no one tells me these things. Otherwise, I would haven't posted this thread.

KEEP ME INFORMED, GODDAMMIT. =/

I would prefer challenges become a subforum only, consisting only of challenge requests, with Iron fic being an announcement/sticky in the forum.

All challenge/iron fic responses then go in the correct subforum (Which is where people would look for them if trying to find them), and are linked to from the iron fic sticky post/challenge request post.

Trying to add a new forum AND category AND keep challenge requests/responses subforums is a messy clusterfuck of "Your princess is in another castle."

Different idea...

Re-label "Challenges" into "Contests"

Let's be honest. "Challenges" are technically every post in the "Ideas" thread. Its stuff like the "short fics" and Iron fics contests that would require a seperate forum.
